History of our Sniffspot: “Millie “ was an English cream Golden Retriever from the famous Kyon Kennels in Orangeville Ontario . She was the sweetest family dog ever, and was even an extra on the original “Pupstar “ . Millie was also an adventurer and an escape artist extraordinaire ! .In her Diva way she demanded that we fence off a few of the bigger areas on our farm so she could safely roam off leash and have friends over . Millie enjoyed her ‘personal park’ for much of her 14 years here, and asked if we could continue sharing it with other doggie friends and their people once she passes. Millie passed peacefully at the age of 14 on Aug 12 2026. Description: “Millie’s spot” is Located in a a rural residential area just steps off the Galloping Goose Trail. We are up on scenic hillside close to Saseenos vet. Ours is the corner property on Gladys and Ludlow Rd. The entrance to the farm and Millie’s spot is actually on Ludlow road on the left just past the Gladys turn off across from Arleigh Place . We are on approx 2 acres of tiered landscaped property that is accessible with landscape stairs with railings to and from the designated Sniffspot areas . (Caution and good mobility is required on the hilly bits. ). The off leash Sniffspot area is approx .75 of an acre and comprised of a fully fenced 50x150 foot horse riding ring with firm style sand base, and another fully fenced horse paddock and picnic sitting area. Fencing is mainly with 4-5 foot post and rail horse fencing with 3-4 foot of mesh between. The fencing is best for dogs that aren’t big climbers or jumpers. There are both flat and hilly areas for dogs to run and explore . A great work out for both humans and dogs ! Sit up in the picnic area and toss the ball or frisbee down into the riding ring for an extra energy burning hill fetch run! Raining ? Or Hot weather ? Several Tree canopies of willows and cedars will keep you cool in summer and dry during a gentle rain . We also have a small overhang area in the riding ring . Most of the footing is gravel, pea gravel or sand so mud is pretty minimal . Agility ? The riding ring is a perfect venue if you want to do an agility training course! , You are welcome to bring your own equipment with the possibility to store it here if you book a series of visits in advance :) What to bring, the basics : Please Bring your own toys, poop bags and water, plus good walking shoes for the hill to and from the play areas. Sorry no washroom available, but Daniel’s market is just down the road . BASIC RULES 1. Leash your dog to and from the assigned off leash area 2. NO DIGGING ! Please DO NOT allow dogs to dig anywhere on the property , including the sandy spots, as we have horses using the spot as well. 3. Bring your own poop bags , and Take your dog's waste with you when you leave please. 4. Park at the foot of the driveway, or on the street only, do not attempt to drive in as the gravel is very loose. 5. Close any gates you open before you leave. Also Of note: We do share a property line with a neighbouring farm with 2 dogs ,chickens and small children. You will hear the dogs and children when they are in their yard , Our spot may not ideal if your dog is highly reactive to noise or potentially aggressive . We offer a full acre of manicured pasture. There are wading pools for dogs to play in alomg with dog sprinklers in the warmer months from approximately May through September. There are toys, balls, peeposts, fire hydrants, and even a large sunshade, which will put you in the mindset of the far off middle east. You have everything you need. Come and check us out. Bays & Greys Farm in Metchosin.

I have a large field that would be a great spot to let your dog run free. I have a 120x60 foot sand ring for and use is by special request only. Water access hose in the corner of fields. Small swing on tree. Outhouse access behind small shed over by the barn. Please pick up after your pet. Respect the property and use the garbage cans provided

A place to run

This was a horse pasture, but horse no more. There are a few elevation changes and plenty of river rocks that you are welcome to! Grass is mowed. Ignore the electric fence (it is off). 2/3rd of an acre with one shade tree, and a couple of chairs. Bring your own: doggie toys and water just in case (we do have a bowl for your dog). We now have new neighbors to the south: llamas, goats, sheep and possibly horses. At about 2pm two guys with 3 dogs wander by on their daily walk, keep an eye out for leashlessness.

Fully fenced and secure private field located just off West Saanich Road. A great space for dogs to run, explore, and enjoy some off-leash time in a safe environment. The field is spacious, grassy, and fully enclosed, making it ideal for exercise, training, or simply letting your dog stretch their legs. Easy parking is available right at the entrance for convenient access. While the field is visible from the road, there are no visible animals nearby, making it a calm and distraction-free space for most dogs. Neighbourhood note: A Department of National Defence rifle range operates nearby on Wallace Drive, and occasional training sounds may sometimes be heard. Our dogs, farm animals, and most visiting dogs are comfortable with this environment, but very noise-sensitive dogs may find this challenging. Wind Ridge Farm Field

****IMPORTANT: all prices listed are in USD and guests will be charged in USD so it is around 15 canadian*** Enclosed farm field. Space includes a small wooded area within the fenced area. Bathroom available on site is now located in an outhouse close to where you park your car. Please let us know if it needs cleaning it is checked throughout the day. SMOKE FREE ZONE. Pick up after dogs, garbage bin provided. There is a barn hose if you need water text or call glenn 2508962860. There are a few seniors visiting with mobility issues which is taken into consideration when there is poop left behind. You can always message me and let me know a general area and I can try to run out and pick it up between the next visit. There are some small gaps in the fence, so this is a great spot for large and medium sized dogs. Not a spot recommended for small dogs. Please keep dogs leashed until you are in the designated enclosed area. There is a 30 minute gap between bookings so you dont run into a dog leaving the field. This beautiful farm has all the space you need to let you get your pups zoomies out. It features multiple interconnected pastures with a variety of interesting and animal-friendly features. Come on down and let your pup run loose, sniff, dig, and have fun without the hassle of dealing with other people or their pets. Please note this is a Farm first and dog park second. There are goats on the property but they are sequestered away in a completely seperate pasture.
