Description

Welcome to the Rock Quarry Rd. - Private Dog Park in Raleigh! We have 1 acre fully fenced in with lots of room and enrichment opportunities for your dog! We cannot wait to share our space with you! ABOUT THE SPACE The yard is fully fenced in. We have a 4ft wire fence around the property. The back fence is a 6ft privacy fence. The largest opening is 5in at the bottom of the fence. Photos of each “stationary” gate are included. There are no shared fence lines, our yard is ideal for reactive or sensitive pups. The space comes with dog toys, tennis balls, place cots, digging sand, dog waste bags/ trash can, and a short but smell-filled nature “trail”. Our yard is filled with squirrels and birds and your dog will love following their scents through the brush. The area is made up of short grass, overgrown brush along the fence lines, and sandy soil. We do have a pear tree that we didn’t expect to produce this year (last year was its fruit year) but with all the rain it has produced some small pears. Our dogs love to chew on the ones that fall on the ground and we’ve never been concerned but I want to give guests a heads up in case your dog can’t have pears or you see your dog chewing on one. 🌳 Perfect shady spot for the summer! We have many mature trees which provide great shade but there are also large grassy spots where you can get full sun. A table and chairs are provided in the shade, as well as a covered area. Water for dogs is provided, as is a water bowl. You’re welcome to use the hose to rinse your dog off but we ask that you don’t bath your dog or run the water for long periods of time. Our house runs on a small well so we have to reserve water. (The well is enclosed and located far outside of the fenced area). While we do live in the house on the property, it is very unlikely that you’ll see us. We want to ensure that your time is as private as possible. Our personal dogs will be secured inside the house. We ask that you keep your dog away from the back door of the house. For safety, we do have security cameras located around the property. Our house is far back off of the road. When you enter the driveway, you will pass our neighbor who is located at the road. They have dogs that will likely bark when you drive past them. They are fully enclosed in a privacy fence and cannot be seen from our yard but they can be heard if they’re barking. Otherwise you should not see or hear any domestic animals. Hazards

It is recommended that you wear closed toe shoes if walking along the fence lines. In the summer months, we love letting parts of the land grow wild along the fence so you may come across thorns as we have wild blackberry vines. There is a patch of poison ivy along the back fence (to the left of the barrels). Throughout the month, we are spraying the poison ivy with a non-toxic vinegar solution to kill the poison ivy. The property used to be a mechanic’s shop and we are still cleaning up scraps left from the previous owner along the back fence line. We feel that the property is safe and our dogs have never gotten into trouble but we ask you to be aware and use your best judgment when exploring with your dog. The last photos in the album show the areas with the remaining scraps.

Please stay out of the small enclosed garden that’s in the yard. We maintain a beehive and the fence helps protect our guests and our bees :). Thank you!

Had to drop my spouse off at the airport and wanted a quick spot to let my kids run around and it was so quick to book. I loved the little swing that was on the property and it was perfect for my reactive kiddo.

Great big place to run around, water and some balls included. Well fenced, stay to the right on the dirt road until the end to get to the spot! You, can tell it used to be a mechanic, but didn’t see anything that could be dangerous! Would come back again.

Great area! Instructions for finding it were helpful and we had a great time. My dog loved exploring the area and we will come back. We could hear the neighbor’s dog but couldn’t see him and it was not constant.

We love this spot. Large and fenced in. There are a lot of areas to sniff and explore. Water is provided as well as toys, poop bags and hand sanitizer.

Beautiful, large property and our dogs had a blast! There’s chairs to sit, balls, poop bags, deshedding brushes, and water available! The instructions on how to get there were very clear and it’s just an awesome spot!! Will definitely be returning

We welcome you to our little peace of heaven backing up to the national watershed reserves. Pre-made ATV trails, creeks, wetlands and a small river await exploring by you and your pup(s) while immersed in solitude and nature.

As a rescuer, I totally understand some dog just can't do social (myself, most of the time too) so dog park is a No. SniffSpot is an option for those special pooches. Quiet private Oasis for guests, private 100% fenced yard, sloped grass yard with 3 patio area. A lot to sniff, a lot of stairs to work out those legs. Very clean yard since I pick up after my own dogs daily. You can sit and relax or enjoy your book or bring a date. From the upper patio you can see a beautiful view behind the fences, Squirrels and birds will make your visit more exciting. We're only 3 mins from Fenton, Crossroads plaza, 5 mins from Petsmart, PetCo and 2 mins from Downtown Cary. ***in the summer we add a baby doggie pool, fresh water, right before booking. Bring a towel if your baby loves water***
