Rock Quarry Farm - 1 Acre Fully Fenced Private Dog Park In Raleigh

Welcome to the Rock Quarry Rd. - Private Dog Park in Raleigh! We have 1 acre fully fenced in with lots of room and enrichment opportunities for your dog! We cannot wait to share our space with you! ABOUT THE SPACE The yard is fully fenced in. We have a 4ft wire fence around the property. The back fence is a 6ft privacy fence. The largest opening is 5in at the bottom of the fence. There are no shared fence lines, our yard is ideal for reactive or sensitive pups. *There is construction happening at the property next door to us, so if you book during weekdays there may be some construction/machinery noise & distractions* 🥇We officially have a beginners agility course! It includes 3 jumps, 1 hoop jump, a tunnel, and weave poles. We hope you and your pup love it! 🎾 The space comes with dog toys, tennis balls, place cots, digging sand, dog waste bags/ trash can, and a short but smell-filled nature “trail”. Our yard is filled with squirrels and birds and your dog will love following their scents through the brush. The area is made up of short grass, overgrown brush along the fence lines, and sandy soil. 🌳 Perfect shady spot for the summer! We have many mature trees which provide great shade but there are also large grassy spots where you can get full sun. A table and chairs are provided in the shade, as well as a covered area. 💧Water for dogs is provided, as is a water bowl. You’re welcome to use the hose to rinse your dog off but we ask that you don’t bath your dog or run the water for long periods of time. Our house runs on a small well so we have to reserve water. (The well is enclosed and located far outside of the fenced area). While we do live in the house on the property, it is very unlikely that you’ll see us. On weekends, Connor may be working in the shop building, but will not be loud and will remain out of the backyard. If you have an especially reactive pet, send us a message and Connor will take a break during your stay. We want to ensure that your time is as private as possible. :) Our own dog will be secured inside the house. We ask that you keep your dog away from the back door of the house. For safety, we do have security cameras located around the property. Our house is far back off of the road. When you enter the driveway, you will pass our neighbor who is located at the road. They have dogs that will likely bark when you drive past them. They are fully enclosed in a privacy fence and cannot be seen from our yard but they can be heard if they’re barking. Otherwise you should not see or hear any domestic animals. Don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions!

FAQ about our Raleigh dog parks

Is there a guarantee that my dog will be safe when I bring it to a dog park?

Public dog parks provide an excellent opportunity for dogs to socialize with other dogs and exercise in an enclosed space. However, there is no guarantee that your dog will be safe when you bring it to a public dog park. While there are rules in place to help ensure the safety of all dogs, there is always a risk of unpredictable dog interactions. Additionally, the high volume of people and dogs in public dog parks can be overwhelming for some dogs, making them more likely to become anxious or aggressive. It is important to supervise your dog closely and be aware of its behavior and the behavior of other dogs in the park to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience.

Private dog parks, where only one booking at a time is allowed, provide a safer alternative for dogs who may not do well in a public dog park environment. These parks offer the benefit of no unpredictable dog interactions, which means that your dog can play and exercise without the risk of being attacked or injured by another dog. Private dog parks may also have indoor, outdoor or swimming options, which makes them a great option during hot summer days in Raleigh, NC. These facilities are typically well-maintained and provide a more controlled environment for your dog to play and exercise. While private dog parks may come at a higher cost, the peace of mind of knowing that your dog is safe and protected can be invaluable.

How can taking my pet dog to a dog park benefit their overall wellness and contentment?

Public dog parks are a great way to benefit your pet dog's overall wellness and contentment. These parks offer a great opportunity for your dog to socialize and interact with other pets and people, which can lead to positive health outcomes for your pet. Socialization helps dogs develop emotionally, resulting in a well-rounded and happy dog. Additionally, regular exercise is important for dogs of all ages and sizes, and dog parks provide a great space for your pet to run around, play fetch, and burn off excess energy. In Raleigh, NC, where summers can get hot, public dog parks can also provide a shaded area for your dog to rest and cool off during playtime.

Private dog parks are another excellent option for benefiting your pet dog's overall wellness and contentment. These parks offer all the benefits of public dog parks, with the added benefit of more control over your pet's environment. With private dog parks, you can control the number of dogs in the park and book a time slot that works best for you and your pet. This allows for a more personalized experience, without the worry of unpredictable dog interactions. Private dog parks can also offer indoor, outdoor or swimming options to cater to your pet's preferences and health needs. In a big city like Raleigh, NC, where public dog parks can sometimes get crowded, private dog parks offer a more peaceful and intimate space for your pet to play and interact with you.

What steps can I take to get my dog ready for a trip to the dog park?

Public Dog Parks: Before taking your dog to the public dog park, it is important to make sure they are socialized and trained to obey basic commands. Begin by taking your dog on regular walks and gradually introduce them to other dogs in a controlled environment. Once they are comfortable with other dogs, you can slowly increase their exposure to new dogs and people. It is also important to make sure your dog is up-to-date on their vaccinations and preventative medications, as this will help protect them from any potential diseases or parasites they may encounter at the park. Be prepared to clean up after your dog and bring water for them to drink, especially during hot summer months.

Public dog parks are a great way to socialize your furry friend with other dogs and humans. When going to a public dog park in Raleigh, NC, it is necessary to bring a few essential items. First, bring a leash and collar for your dog to wear while entering and leaving the park. What precautions should visitors take into account while visiting dog parks?

When visiting public dog parks in Raleigh, NC, visitors should take certain precautions to ensure the safety of their furry companions. The first thing to consider is the weather. Summers in Raleigh can be hot and humid, so it’s important for visitors to bring plenty of water for themselves and their dogs. Additionally, visitors should be aware of the symptoms of heat exhaustion in dogs, such as excessive panting, drooling, and vomiting. When booking a private dog park, visitors should make sure to read and follow all rules and regulations for the park. Visitors should also bring plenty of water for their dogs, especially if the park has outdoor or swimming options. Additionally, visitors should be aware of their dog’s behavior and any potential triggers that may cause them to become aggressive. If a dog shows any signs of aggression, visitors should immediately remove them from the park and seek professional training to address the behavior. Overall, visitors to private dog parks should prioritize safety and responsibility to ensure a positive experience for all.

How can I tell if my dog is having a good time at the park?

When it comes to public dog parks in Raleigh, NC, there are several signs that can indicate if your furry friend is having a good time. A happy dog will likely have a wagging tail, be interested in exploring the surroundings, and eager to play with other dogs. You may also notice your dog engaging in fun behaviors, such as chasing or being chased by other dogs, rolling around in the grass, or fetching a ball. It's important to keep an eye on your dog's body language as well, as they may show signs of discomfort or anxiety if they are not having a good time. If your dog appears fearful or tries to hide, it may be time to remove them from the situation and try a different park or activity.

In contrast, private dog parks offer a more controlled environment for your furry friend to play and exercise. As there is only one booking at a time, you can rest assured that your dog won't be overwhelmed by unpredictable dog interactions. You may notice your dog having a good time by their increased energy levels, playful behavior, and overall enjoyment of the surroundings. Private dog parks may offer additional amenities, such as indoor or outdoor options, swimming areas, or agility courses, which can also contribute to your dog's enjoyment. It is important to note that each dog is unique, and while some may thrive in a private setting, others may prefer the socialization and stimulation of public dog parks.
