great adventure area for lots of sniffs and exercise! my doggie is wiped out. definitely wearing long pants/hiking shoes as the terrain is forested. Awesome place. Gregory was so kind and helpful!
Great visit! Dogs had a great time exploring. Thick pants ideal for prickly brush. If your dog spooks during hunting season, there were a lot of gunshots (rapid fire) during our visit. Our dogs were too interested in smells to care and I used it as a training and confidence building opportunity!
Great for the price but definitely difficult to actually walk around the area. Not really any trails, just had to make your own way through the brush. Doggo obviously loved it and got so much energy out, but we weren't able to really utilize the "hiking acres" to it's full potential due to the highly wooded area covered in thorns and brush. We were under the impression we would be able to hike the property for a while. Still had fun though
Nice spot. The pups loved it. Water straight back. Seen no people or dogs.
It’s a beautiful private spot and the host was kind. Definitely recommend wearing hiking boots and long pants. We enjoyed exploring with our pup and will be back!
Dog has a blast!
It was nice to let our reactive dog off leash without having to worry about other dogs! I would recommend wearing long pants as there is not real path or trail and the cleared area is covered with poison ivy.
We really enjoyed wandering the property, and the dogs had a great time exploring!
Beautiful private spot and a very kind host! Perfect for my dog to run and sniff
we had a great time at this sniffspot! the trails aren’t overly obvious but since the underbrush isn’t bad at all we just zig zagged back and forth without worrying about the trails too much.

Winter Parking (if you can’t make it down the second driveway due to snow or mud) is at the bottom of my driveway. You’ll see the Sniffspot Parking Sign. Fully fenced in approximately two acres. We now have lighting for nighttime use. Remote switch for lights is located on the bulletin board in the barn. Approximately five times around the property perimeter equals a mile. We have chuck-it throws and balls, many toys and agility equipment in a large fenced area for you and your dog to romp around. Main entrance to the yard can be found by entering the second driveway and parking in the designated parking area in front of the solar barn. You may occasionally hear gun shots are we live near lots of woods. Feel free to reach out via text 603-682-7216 with any questions or concerns. Enjoy! Melodie

Join our Facebook group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/goldendogplayground.** Announcing the Golden Dog Playground set on over 5 acres of land in Barrington, NH, with just over 1 acre of the space fenced in. We believe dogs are family so we have worked hard to create a customized experience for you and your furry family that you will remember forever. We offer two separate fenced-in areas that connect. Are you looking to expose/introduce two dogs in a safe and welcoming environment where you can monitor their body language and temperament? If yes, then our space is perfect. Each dog can have their own fenced-in area to play and observe or open the gate and connect the two spaces for your dogs to explore all that we have to offer. Included with other amenities, we offer confidence building equipment, a digging station, stretching board, pools for water (seasonal) and sensory play, enrichment toys, natural fitness stations and more! Have a special request or need? Let us know. We are happy to accommodate if we are able! Clean water bowls are also offered as well as a sink to easily refill and wash your hands or a toy as needed (seasonal). When done playing with the toys, simply leave them in the bucket provided for cleaning and sanitation for the next furry friend. On the back side of the house is a hose and sprayer as well as dry towels inside the bench (seasonal). Feel free to dry your dog off after splashing in the pool and wipe their feet before they hop back in your car. Simply leave the used towel on the bench and we will pick up. Waste pick up is simple and easy with the pooper scoopers and rakes we offer for disposing in our Doggie Dooley Septic Systems (seasonal). In cold weather, and year round, you will also find poop bags in our mailbox located just inside the entry gate. Please pick up and dispose of waste in the garbage pail found near the mailbox. We can't wait to welcome you to our Golden Dog Playground - an oasis set among the woods with distance from the road and neighbors.
Wide open, safe area for pups to run, sniff and lounge while mom or dad relaxes on the patio with full view of yard.
A fully fenced yard for you and your animals to run and roam! The Hawthorne has almost an acre of land for your doggo to explore! We are fully fenced in so y’all can run without worry! We have a hose and bowl outside for you to use for water. We have a large open area to play ball or frisbee and a meadow / English garden type area on the sides of the yard that provide fun terrain for your dogs to explore. The dogs are welcome to roam whenever they’d like, but please be mindful of what they eat since we have a native pollinator garden and make sure that they are treated for ticks because there are some areas that are wooded. That being said, our 15 year old girl only had 2 ticks on her in 12 years at this property. 😊 The yard is enclosed by a combination of a 6’ privacy fence, as well as a chain link fence that abuts the neighbors backyard (no dogs), and a white picket fence reinforced with chicken wire on one side. The shorter fence is on an embankment so it’s almost equivalent to our 6’ fence that surrounds most of the yard. We mow regularly. There is always ample, safe street parking directly in front of the Hawthorne Hotel, as well as on the side street where there is a convenient gate that leads directly to the back yard. Please be mindful of closing the gate behind you when you enter and exit as it requires a firm tug to latch. Contact us to get a viewing!
Fully fenced in yard. Plenty of shade. Water available for pets.
Welcome to our backyard! We know how valuable new experiences are for dogs and how being off leash to run, sniff, and play is good for dogs' physical and mental well being - and ours, too! Our privacy fencing and large yard allows you and your dog to have a safe place away from unfamiliar people / other dogs*. It's great for getting your dog some different sniffs and letting them off leash for a game of fetch! *Our neighbor does have a dog who may be outside during your visit. The neighbor's dog is friendly and absolutely cannot get into our yard. Your dog will be 100% safe, but please know that if the neighbor's dog is outside during your visit, she may try to stick a little bit of her snout underneath any of the small openings along the fence line.
Enjoy our secluded dog haven! Located just minutes from downtown Nashua, at our Sniffspot you’ll never know you’re in the city. Play a game of fetch on our large, fully fenced grassy lawn. In the summer, try out our kiddie pool add on to cool off! Sick of fetch? Strap on a leash and enjoy our short path through the woods (where you might catch a glimpse of our curious chickens or even a giant bullfrog in our creek)! Our pups love our Spot, and so will yours! *Spot Rules* We work hard to maintain our home. Please be courteous by following our Spot Rules: - No digging on the lawn. If you have a digger feel free to dig in the woods or in the dirt area under the deck. - Do not allow dogs to get too close to the chickens. Message for more info. -Please clean up all poop! Bags are provided at the entrance for your convenience. Thank you!
