Our Sniffspot is designed for dogs to enjoy private playtime, not as a venue for human parties or gatherings. We do not have restroom facilities. For the safety and comfort of all guests, a maximum of 2 adults is permitted per dog. For example, 1 dog may have up to 2 adults, 2 dogs may have up to 4 adults, and 20 dogs may have up to 40 adults. This policy helps ensure the space is used primarily for the dogs’ enjoyment and maintains a safe, comfortable environment for all guests.

We live on 5 acres about 1 mile from Camp Bonneville. The 2 acre pasture has a fenced seasonal pond in the middle, flat and open with lots of room for zoomies, frisbee, fetch, or just lounging and enjoying the birds and trees. Pasture is fenced with 4 foot field fence with electric wire at the top (not charged), and separate from the house. Front fence borders on 68th St. Plenty of room to run and explore! Let's keep the pasture nice, please discourage digging and pick up after dog. My Border Collie and Mini Aussie will find your leavings (it's a large space, I understand things get missed, it helps to carry poo bags to minimize backtracking). For human exercise... 6 laps around perimeter fence is approx. 1 mile, 6 laps around pond fence is approx. 1/4 mile.

Our creek is also a natural creek, so its water level and conditions can vary seasonally. Think of our spot like going on a secure mini hike in the Gorge! We’re always making improvements at Nature in the City, so you may notice new touches each time you visit! Welcome to Columbia Gateway! *Please avoid the west-end under construction, for the safety of yourself and our ADU project.* Our park is a fairly wide-open space where your dogs can run and play. We have a variety of shady spots, trees, plants that harbor animals and birds. Pick your fill of blackberries July-August. Please never bring any unvaccinated dog or puppy. Please monitor your dogs and clean up any messes. Extra waste bags are available in the old metal milk box located on the ground, left of the porch steps. Credits are given to good samaritans for helping with missed piles! Please report any problems, hazards, concerns or issues as soon as possible! We want to get things handled asap! Absolutely no digging; Please do not allow your dog to dig. Private areas: -house including the porch - Water is provided unless freezing temps are expected May-Sept PLEASE USE SPIGOT next to House Chimney for water. If not working properly, blue yard hydrant handle should always be open (up) in summer months. Dedicated Park area is EAST of the driveway and the grassy area that wraps around back of the house. Have a good time exploring and playing! We appreciate your business and love dogs. Please just encourage them to avoid the porch areas and flower/fruit gardens. Leave any open water line or hose running if found that way in summer months. Residents of the home may come and go during your reservation. This is a rare but possible occurrence.
