We live on 20 acres and it’s all open field with the exception of our house and barns. There are neighbors and old barns to stay away from but other than that the field behind our house or on the east side is available for you and your dogs to roam. There is often a mowed trail around the property but beware in the rainy weather it’s wet and can get deep!

A heads up: The Overlook sits adjacent to a busy road, so there is noticeable traffic noise. The 6-foot fencing keeps your dog completely safe and secure, but if your pup is sensitive to road sounds, our other space — The Meadow — may be a better fit. We have approximately 1/2 acre of fully fenced dog fun located a few miles east of La Center. This is a pasture turned into a dog park. Your fur babies will be watched by our highland girls, Tindy and Maggie (Magnolia) and our goats, Baby and Jake. We have two Frenchtons, Millie and Daisy that also might say hello from afar. We provide lots of toys and a Pooch Smooch kissing booth! You may get lots of exercise as our property is on a hillside and all balls roll downhill. You will park your vehicle inside our fenced area for easy unloading/loading.

The 2 acre pasture has a fenced seasonal pond in the middle, flat and open with lots of room for zoomies, frisbee, fetch, or just lounging and enjoying the birds and trees. Pasture is fenced with 4 foot field fence with electric wire at the top (not charged), and separate from the house. Front fence borders on 68th St. Plenty of room to run and explore! Let's keep the pasture nice, please discourage digging and pick up after dog. My Border Collie and Mini Aussie will find your leavings (it's a large space, I understand things get missed, it helps to carry poo bags to minimize backtracking). For human exercise... 6 laps around perimeter fence is approx. 1 mile, 6 laps around pond fence is approx. 1/4 mile.

Only park in the street if you have to. (See instructions upon booking) We make efforts to provide a safe experience for you and your pups. Please return the favor by having a profile picture! Reservations for mystery people will be cancelled. Dogs must be leashed when entering or exiting (no exceptions). Absolutely no digging or fence fighting. We added more lighting and easier entry instructions to make first time visits a breeze even at night. With that said, if you are a new guest please read instructions BEFORE you arrive. If you go to the wrong house you will not be allowed to come back. We simply cannot continue to host if this happens. Instructions are visible to you once you book. Fully fenced yard with short grass. Includes a fire pit and is very well lit at night. Great for a date night with the pups or hang by the fire with a couple friends. BYO fire wood. If you plan on having a fire, we recommend a 2 hour visit! Use hose to completely extinguish fire before you leave.

Walk through winter dormant farm fields to a secluded fully-fenced pasture. Bird and wildlife sightings occur often. Be sure to wear waterproof hiking shoes. Drive SLOWLY and follow the 'Winter Pasture' signs to the back of the farm to a parking area. Then walk along farm fields to the fully fenced back pasture.
