Hi! I’m Joanne, and this is my dog Nifty’s favorite place in the world—so I thought I’d share it with other wonderful dogs and their people. We have 15 private acres with woods, open fields, and river access, and it’s been such a gift for my dog to have a safe space to run freely. I know not every dog thrives at dog parks, so I wanted to create a peaceful alternative. This space is especially loved by dogs who need a little extra room or prefer a quieter environment. The property is fenced along the two “long sides” which encourages your dog to stay nearby but with lots of roaming space. The fence is NOT fully secure. Please see the section about fencing. Near the cabin, there’s a cozy seating area where you can relax under the trees while your dog enjoys the space. We’re so happy to share this space with you and your pup! It’s meant to feel simple, calm, and restorative. 🐾 A Space That Gives Back This Sniffspot was created not just for dogs to enjoy, but to make a difference. This fenced in area is housed within an animal sanctuary. The area is across a field from barn animals and resident dogs will be inside the house. There are 3 barn cats, but they do not go near the fenced in area. Parking is available next to the fenced area and the gate is open to walk into the fenced in area.

Spring 2026 Updates: Spring is definitely giving us a tease this month! Lots of guests have visited us during these 60 to 70° days and it’s great to hear the sounds of happy barking again. The yard is looking good! No more mud! All the favorite toys are out, as well as bottled water when the weather is above freezing and a stainless steel bowl.
