I walk the property every day looking for poop. Please clean up after your pet so we can all enjoy a poop free play area. Toys are washed about every two weeks. I'd love to meet you but also want to respect your privacy. Feel free to knock on my slider if you have a question or would just like to say hi. Please park directly in front of my house in front of the fence. Have fun!!!

Host replied: Cinder and I love having you. Thanks!
Cute little spot! Both my pups enjoyed the open space to run around in. Akira even enjoyed snacking on some of the 'taller' grass he could find along the fence. Plenty of places to sit, including a covered patio. The provided water and clean ball was awesome. Appreciate people going beyond to make sure all canine visitors are safe and healthy.
Great place to play
We were very impressed with the cleanliness of this lovely SniffSpot as well as the proactive precautions Jill took (providing a jug of water but not a communal dog bowl, and removing shared toys) due to the current concerning respiratory virus impacting dogs. A very pleasant place for a game of fetch or chase :)
Every time we visit I am blown away by how caring Jill is! The decorations are awesome and the extra effort to keep all dogs safe from this respiratory virus is above and beyond! Thank you for all you do!!!
Host replied: Thanks so much for your kind words Tracy. I’m very motivated by my love of all dogs!
One of our fav spots inside the city 🐶
My dogs (and their friends that come to join us) absolutely LOVE Jill and Cinder’s Sniffspot! The fence is secure, the yard is plenty spacious for lots of play, she generously provides a seasonal picture station. This host also took the time to consult her vet about the dog virus that is currently circulating and took extra precautions to keep her visitors safe by picking up the shared toys station, and providing jugged water and disposable bowls, in an effort to decrease the cross contamination that could be a risk at shared play spaces. The entrance is well marked and Jill is very accommodating! Thank you for having such a lovely space!
You can tell how much Jill cares about her guests; she had disposable water bowls to help keep furbabies safe from the respiratory illness going around. Kona and I always love our time there.
What a perfect back yard for dogs to enjoy. It was a little wet, but the yard is kept in great shape and not too muddy. Great doggie oasis in the city.
I spoke to Jill about arrangement of yard furniture. She wrote me a very quick, friendly response and changed what I commented on right away.

I recently moved to Bellingham to be near family. My sidekick "Lil" loves to explore our fenced "back 40" and keep track of the squirrels.
***IMPORTANT: all prices listed are in USD and guests will be charged in USD*** 5 acres of open fields, as well as old growth forest to romp and play for hours. Front of the property has 5 foot chainlink fencing and is fully secured from the road. Side of the property is mostly bush, so not easy to escape from. Supervision is required.
WEATHER ALERT: If you are checking the weather online check the Ferndale (98248) weather. The Bellingham weather stops at the Smith Road. My prevailing wind is from the South BUT I do get the cold NE wind from Canada. NOTE: This is an acreage area which formerly held dog events; barn hunt, earth dog, carting, rally, obedience, tracking and nose work. The off leash area was set up for the dogs to have a place to run and play safely away from the other dogs when not working. This is all sandy loam so no standing water even when it rains. There is a water faucet down by the smaller barn (west side). You are welcome to fill your dog's bowls. Just be sure you turn the water off after. I have put some folding chairs just inside the big door of the barn. You are welcome to use them. I have also put a shovel out there so you can fill in any holes your dog digs. It is important you put balls back in the crate, they do not do well under the mower (the mower doesn't like it either. Please fill in any large holes your dog digs, so my mower doesn't bog down in one. if you want a bit more room to run your dogs, you may close the 2 big gates and let your dog run in the "parking area". It is all fully fenced. Be aware, the big gate into the back pasture does have a gap under it. THE BACK PASTURE IS OFF LIMITS THERE IS LIVESTOCK BACK THERE! PLEASE PICK UP AFTER YOUR DOG EVEN IN THE BIG AREA. THANK YOU!!!

The Pacific Northwest Trail, a through-hike trail hundreds of miles long, runs directly through our property via the gravel road and allows you to go on hikes of virtually unlimited duration. Please note that the standing propane heater is NOT for Sniffspot users. Please also keep out of the tiny house - guests are NOT permitted to enter. Any usage or tampering with the heater or tiny house will result in a loss of future booking privileges. Destruction of on-site toys will also result in a loss of future booking privileges if compensation is not provided.

Pastures are vacant through the winter months. Parking is along a private gravel dead-end road. There is a SniffSpot sign on the double green gate. There are occasional dog-walkers along the road, but otherwise the spot is private.
Fully fenced 20 acre space with a large front field and 10 acres of forest in the back with maintained trails throughout. Off West Pole Road, there’s a little lane next to a DeWildes nursery field. Our front field has a hidden gate (see pictures!) that will let you into our fully fenced front field. The grass is field grass and a little more rough and uneven than a yard lawn, i.e. diggers welcome!!
****IMPORTANT: all prices listed are in USD and guests will be charged in USD* Our yard is completely enclosed and usually pretty quiet. You're welcome to use our basketball court while your dog enjoys their playtime (just let me know ahead of time as I can leave an inflated basketball out). We also have a tether tug, offering your dog endless tug-of-war! We've also stocked various toys for your pup, including frisbees, Nerf guns, tennis balls, and more. Please let me know if you have any questions! :) You will receive the location of the yard and instructions on how to enter it when you place a booking.
