Peaceful, Fenced-In Former Goat Pen in Cumberland, ME

Fully Fenced
0.06 acres

Welcome to our quiet, country yard—formerly a goat pen! This fully fenced 3,690 sq. ft. space is located at the end of a dead-end road in beautiful Cumberland, Maine. It’s perfect for dogs who love to sniff, explore, and run off-leash in a peaceful rural setting. The yard is enclosed with a 3-foot-high wire livestock fence (1 ft x 7 in spacing between wires), which offers a safe environment for most dogs, though it may not be suitable for very small pups or high jumpers without supervision. The space is adjacent to a quiet street where neighbors sometimes walk their dogs, so your pup might spot some friendly passersby. Whether your dog wants to romp, relax, or just enjoy some new smells, this spacious and serene spot offers a unique place to play and unwind. Come enjoy the fresh Maine air!

Nonesuch Meadows Farm

Unfenced
30 acres

Enjoyable farm fields with lots of room for dogs to roam and play. Wildlife does show up at times, anywhere from deer, turkeys, skunks and porcupines. Our main field does abut a golf course, and often get stray balls fly over the fence into our field. To avoid being hit by one, I’d recommend staying more towards the middle to right of the field. During deer season we do require the owner and dog to be wearing orange, and don’t have guests come on Saturdays. We do hay our fields in the summer (May/June-September) time, and once that begins we will set up a schedule with specific areas that can be utilized.

Seth's Fully Fenced Yard For Dogs To Rent In Scarborough

Fully Fenced
0.25 acres

My name is Seth and I've been a lifelong dog owner. I've always loved getting out for adventures and finding new spots to let dogs romp off leash. My dogs Boss and Kona were temperamental with other dogs so it was always important to find safe spots to let them off leash. They were the inspiration for my fenced in backyard! Kona passed in September 2022 and Boss passed in July 2023, so I've opened up the space to those who might need a fenced in area to help their dog(s) expend that energy! We believe a tired dog is a happy dog, and an even happier owner 😉

Frequently asked questions about Cumberland dog parks

Are private dog parks better than public dog parks in Cumberland?

Yes, private dog parks in Cumberland eliminate the major risks of public facilities: unpredictable dog encounters, inattentive owners, disease transmission, and chaotic environments. With Sniffspot's 154 private locations in Cumberland, you get complete privacy during your booking, professionally maintained spaces, and flexible scheduling. No more worrying about aggressive dogs or unsafe conditions. Seth's Fully Fenced Yard For Dogs To Rent In Scarborough and other highly-rated Cumberland locations consistently receive 5-star reviews for safety and cleanliness.

Are Sniffspot dog parks in Cumberland safe for all dog types?

Absolutely! Cumberland Sniffspot locations welcome puppies learning socialization, senior dogs needing gentle exercise, small dogs who feel overwhelmed at public parks, high-energy dogs needing room to run, and reactive dogs requiring privacy. The completely private bookings mean each dog gets exactly the environment they need with no compromises. Whether your dog is friendly, selective, anxious, or anywhere in between, Cumberland has 154 options to match their temperament.

When can puppies start visiting dog parks in Cumberland?

Puppies can visit Cumberland Sniffspot locations as soon as they have age-appropriate vaccinations (typically around 8-10 weeks with their first round of shots). Unlike public dog parks where you'd wait until puppies are fully vaccinated at 16+ weeks, Sniffspot's private bookings eliminate disease risk from unknown dogs. This early, safe socialization in Cumberland helps prevent fear and reactivity issues later. Many Cumberland trainers specifically use Sniffspot for puppy development.

How do I find private dog parks near me in Cumberland?

Browse Cumberland's 154 private dog parks on Sniffspot by entering your zip code or neighborhood. Filter by distance (within 5, 10, or 25 miles), then narrow by features: fully fenced, "fewer dogs seen/heard," specific amenities like fully fenced dog parks or small dog parks. Each Cumberland listing shows photos, reviews, exact location, and instant availability. Seth's Fully Fenced Yard For Dogs To Rent In Scarborough is particularly popular among Cumberland dog owners.

Are Cumberland dog parks good for small dogs?

Yes! Many Cumberland Sniffspot hosts specifically mark their spaces as "small dog friendly," meaning they're sized appropriately for toy breeds and small dogs. Unlike public dog parks where small dogs can be intimidated or injured by larger dogs, Cumberland private bookings give your small dog the entire space. Filter for secure fencing with no gaps, smaller yard sizes, and hosts who cater to petite pups. Some Cumberland dog park locations even have separate small dog areas.

What's the difference between Sniffspot and public dog parks in Cumberland?

The biggest difference is privacy and control. Public dog parks in Cumberland mean sharing space with unknown dogs and owners. You can't control who shows up or how they behave. Sniffspot's 154 Cumberland locations give you private bookings where only your dogs are present. You choose the time, the space, and the environment. Plus, you get amenities like fully fenced dog parks, small dog parks, and maintained cleanliness that public parks can't guarantee.

Do Cumberland dog parks allow senior dogs?

Yes! Cumberland Sniffspot locations are excellent for senior dogs who need gentle exercise without the stress of public dog parks. Older dogs can explore at their own pace, rest when needed, and avoid being knocked over by rambunctious dogs. Look for Cumberland spots with flat terrain, shaded areas, easy access, and smaller sizes if your senior has limited mobility. The privacy means your older dog can enjoy off-leash time safely and comfortably.

Can I rent a private dog park in Cumberland by the hour?

Yes! All 154 Sniffspot locations in Cumberland are available for hourly rental. Most bookings are 1-2 hours, though you can reserve longer if needed. Book instantly through the platform, arrive during your time slot, and have the entire space to yourself. Many Cumberland dog owners rent weekly for consistent, safe exercise for their dogs.
