Description

Check us out on the news! https://www.cbsnews.com/minnesota/news/got-grass-like-dogs-want-cash-sniffspot-may-be-for-you/?intcid=CNM-00-10abd1h MARCH 2023 UPDATE: We are currently undergoing some home renovations. In mid/late March through May our yard will be intermittently unavailable. We appreciate your patience! If you're unsure if the yard is available, please message and ask! We'll do our best to accommodate! We are a rescue friendly home specializing in training and advocating for dogs with behavior challenges. We know how hard it can be to find a quiet yard to train your reactive or fearful dog and we would love to help. Located in an Eagan culdesac, our fenced .34 acre backyard is well-maintained and provides room to run. Let us know if we can be of help! Ann & Adam Maves (and our resident pups) Feel free to use the screened-in porch while your pups play. We offer indoor and outdoor seating with television access (during the summer months). Wifi information provided upon request!

Cleanliness

97% of guests said this spot was as clean as expected during their visit.

Hazards

We do have a three-season sunroom off the back of our home that is without a foundation. We do a thorough waste pick-up at the end of each day. We ask that guests clean up after their pets to ensure our midday visitors don't encounter any mess. If you have a very timid/fearful dog, please let me know in advance and we'll ensure he/she cannot hide under the sunroom. There is no risk of escape, but a small dog could hide under the area if extremely timid. We have ways to accommodate and keep your dog safe and secure!

    Great space.

My dog Riley had a blast! This was a lovely, secure yard with plenty of room to play and sniff. Riley struggles with fear and anxiety, so it was very nice for her be in a safe space to explore while staying under threshold. A thoughtful setup with toys and water too.

Such a wonderful yard, also in the winter! So much snow to dig, fetch, and run around in. Our dog had a wonderful time!

Great backyard, very spacious with privacy fences around the whole yard. Quiet neighborhood. Host left out toys and water. Overall, it was a great experience!

This was our first visit to a Sniffspot.com stay, and we had a lovely time! We recently adopted a rescue and are slowly learning her needs and boundaries. The hosts made sure everything was prepared for us in the backyard and I felt confident and safe in the space. We had fresh water and even poo bags available! The three season porch was a welcome bonus, as it gave me a place to put on Nova's booties and to restrict her play in the snow as we prepared to arrive and leave. We will be back!

Host replied: So glad it worked out for you!

My dog and I had a great time here. Very easy getting in and out. Fencing was secure and private. Wonderful yard with great host. Felt very welcoming.

  • Stacey F., Nov 13, 2022

Easy to navigate, lots of room to run and sniff. Heard a dog and kids over back privacy, secure fence but that’s expected in a neighborhood. Ann had dividing gates in place, blocking curious guest dogs from pursuing further investigation. I highly recommend this for a place for your companion animal(s) to get some exercise.

Host replied: Thanks Stacey! Glad it worked out!

    Great spot!

Great yard with privacy fencing on all sides which is nice for reactive dogs. My dog had plenty of room to let loose but also work on some off leash training outside with minimal distractions
