This place is truly a retreat for dogs and their owners : well planned and cared for trails run through the whimsical forrest , it is fun to discover cozy benches hidden by the creek. Watching the farm animals from afar is amusing and relaxing.
We especially appreciate warm welcome by the owners, and our dog does not want to leave , when its time, therefore we keep coming back . Thank you, John and Stephanie!
Magical spot full of trails winding through the woods. The hosts are so kind!
This Sniffspot is fantastic! Best Sniffspot I have ever been to!
we have come back to this spot many times now - we love it so much. John is incredibly kind and the park he’s created is absolutely beautiful. The highland cows are magical & we appreciate that our pup gets more exposure to different animals.
What a fun place! John and Stephanie were so nice! We'll definitely be back!
Such a great place for the dogs to run around. We loved that it had trails with a forested area and a creek below for them to cool off in. John was very friendly, and led us in through the front way but also let us know in the future there was parking in the back. Great place and area, will be back!
Looooove this spot, and seeing how different it looks during the seasons.
John and Stephanie were some of the nicest hosts we have met. They gave a thorough tour of their property, which was really nice as it was our first time. Our dog loooove all the space to explore and even got her feet a bit wet 😊 We will definitely be visiting again!
Always our favorite spot not just for how great it is for the dogs but because the hosts are genuinely two of the nicest people ever. (My two year old threw her arms around John’s neck while I was losing the dogs back up into my car). And their gaggle of farm animals are friendly and sweet. The perfect place!
This was our first time at this spot but it won't be our last. My dogs had a blast chasing each other, romping in the creek and exploring the trails. The space is away from all but one quiet country road and has natural barriers, so I never worried about the dogs escaping. The owner was very helpful and showed us the lay of the land when we arrived. My dogs were very interested in the farm animals when we crossed their pasture to get to the spot, but the animals were mellow and basically ignored the dogs. This is a really beautiful spot and well worth the time to get there.
This Sniffspot was everything I hoped for! John was very welcoming, showed us around the land, and was so accommodating. Sirius (my dog) absolutely loved running around and exploring the beautiful grounds, and actually enjoyed playing in the water, which he normally avoids! Couldn’t have asked for a better experience.
Lots of fun for the dogs to run around and explore! They had such a blast running around the trails and in the creek! Very nice host with a lovely farm.
Great place to bring your dog! Lots of trails, open spaces and streams!
We had a GREAT experience from the moment we arrived until we left the place. Hosts were very friendly.
Our dog loved running around the trails and swimming in the creek. We’ll definitely be returning to that spot sometime soon
Such a fun place with little trails and a river and just tons of charm, my dogs loved it.
I love it here
So happy we found this Sniffspot!! This was the first time my rottie got to see farm animals, like cows, goats, and chickens and she was mesmerized by them! Beautiful, large property. On our next visit, we will book for more than an hour so we can enjoy the numerous trails AND the creek. The owners were so kind and helpful. They gave me a tour of the Sniffspot and sent us on our way with organic veggies grown in their garden! I can’t say enough good things! Pro tip: it’s a farm, wear boots
LOVE LOVE LOVE it here. My dog does to. John and his wife are so accommodating, generous. The property is amazing. We could stay there for hours upon hours
Wonderful spot amazing host!
John and his wife are amazing host. The farm was absolutely amazing and our fur babies had the best time plus their farm animals were so cool! The park itself is like your own personal mini hiking spot, creek included. Definitely recommend.
My dogs had tons of fun exploring the trails, creeks and river. There was even a sandy digging area by the river!
We had such a great experience at Fiveash Farm! John was an amazing host, he took us on a tour of the property so we would know where everything was, and was incredibly sweet to us and our two dogs. We have a very high spirited Irish setter pup who can be rambunctious when excited and John was just the best with him. Our dogs had an amazing time exploring the sniff spot, and seeing the farm animals up close! We would 100% recommend this spot and John to everyone, and will definitely be going back!
This place is a gem, and pictures don’t do it justice! 🤩 Super friendly host and plenty of trails/streams to explore. One review suggested to bring bug spray, good call! Walking through farm area was exciting for pups but kept them leashed just in case. Totally worth going on a hot summer day! ☀️
It’s a hidden paradise! We loved it so much and John & his wife were so helpful and wonderful. My pup loved it so much and had a smile all the way home.
Out of this world! Absolutely an unbelievable property for both dog and human, like a magical fairy land with creeks and bridges a trails all over. As a human I want to move there and our dogs were THRILLED the entire time!
Our favorite spot!!! ♥
Spring ash Farm is amazing!!! Brought my husky and I had booked for two hours but he wore himself out after just an hour! He was beyond excited to see all the animals up close. The space beyond the pastures is incredible. So many fun trails, nice and shady, and plenty of places to sit and take it all in. From the creek to the cabin in the woods, John has created such a wonderful space for both humans and dogs. Can’t wait to come back and visit the cows again!
What an amazing property John and his wife have created. From the moment you arrive you know you’re in for a treat. You do have to walk through a bevy of turkeys, goats, the two Scottish Highland cattle (mother and son) as well as other farm animals so be sure the pups are on a secure leash. Once through the second gate though you have 7+ acres of trails, fields, a beautiful stream, lush woods, and much more to explore. This is a stunning property and definitely worth a visit. Note: The property is not fenced so should only be used with dogs that have good return.
Amazing place! So much to explore, and the trails are so well taken care of!! Duke and Brady absolutely love it here!!
I’m not sure my dogs have ever had so much fun! They absolutely loved it!
Super fun Sniffspot with great creek and river access! My dogs had an absolute blast and we really enjoyed exploring all the little trails too!
Excellent and exciting spot! Farm animals to see, beautiful trails, bridges and more. Such a good time with my pup wandering around the beautiful property. Seriously a treat!!
Our pups absolutely loved the property! There are so many fun trails to explore and open area to run and have zoomies! They spent most of the time swimming in the creek and trying to make friends with the farm animals (through the fence). It was the perfect escape from the city. It felt like we had our own private hiking space. We will definitely be back again!
Fantastic location. Beautiful woods, trails, creeks. Awesome hosts. We love spending with Loretta on this outstanding property!
Beautiful spot! Will continue to come back!
This sniffspot is our favorite, in fact , the only place we visit . John and Stephanie keep it clean, well and lovingly cared for enjoyment of dogs and their humans. We look forward to coming back for fun and relaxing time.
Amazing. The dogs LOVE it here, it’s very child-friendly, and the hosts are warm and welcoming. John was so kind as to tell the kids all the animals’ names and assist them for an impromptu petting zoo experience. There are benches and chairs everywhere, too. Though I’m typically wary, I felt safe letting the kids play in and allowing the dogs to drink from the creek; the water is so clear, you can count the rocks at the bottom. Our favorite Sniffspot hands down.
Beautiful spot! This sniff spot is beautifully maintained with lovely owners! My dog and I had a blast exploring all the trails. We did have to go through a pasture with loose chickens, bunnies, and cows - if your dog has a strong prey drive I’d suggest reaching out to the owners to ask if you can meet them at a different parking spot at the top of the trails. We will definitely be making the trip out here again at some point!
This spot was amazing, I will be back many many times. The owner was so sweet, they have beautiful wildlife on their property, well taken care of trail paths, and it was easy to find and get to. If it’s been raining I recommend wearing boots as some spots are a little muddy. My dog absolutely loved it, it was like we were hiking on a private trail. So awesome! *If you want to wash your dirty pup after, head down to Runlands self dog wash 🧼
I… and the dogs of course… always look forward to visiting John and his amazing property. This sniff spot never disappoints. We especially love playing in the river!
This place is my happy place. If you're on the fence, please give this spot a chance. It is truely the best. I love the grassy, graded hill where the dogs can get a lovely fetch work out. Sitting on the tiny cabin porch while the dogs sniff out everything within 500 feet and the babbling brooks and rivers around the area make an awesome atmosphere. My dogs love swimming in the shaded area of the stream- even my chihuahua! John is always kind, respectful, greets you warmly and treats your pups like they are family. As a bonus (and really the star of the show) you might get to say hello to Yohan, a handsome Highland breed of cow.
John is an amazing host and his property is beautiful
Absolutely the most perfect place! If you want to hike and have some great fun in the mud, dirt, water and or just views this is the place! You can let them have the time of the life and get muddy while you watch and face splitting grin or you can join in. I wish I lived closer so I could be there weekly.
John's property is amazing! There were so many trails to explore with our pups, and also a nice meadow area for them to romp around as well. Plenty of water for the pups with the creeks on the land, and there were benches and chairs scattered around which was very nice. John was so welcoming and showed us around at the start of the visit. We will definitely be booking here again.
So much green growth since we last visited in April! Virgil had a blast as usual. Don’t forget your bug spray!
The property is amazing! Pups had an amazing time sniffing, splashing and running. The host was extremely friendly! Will definitely be back.
Great spot. Beautiful property. We went on a wet rainy day but still had fun. Dogs loved it! Can't wait to return without the rain!
Amazing spot! Beautiful property and so much to explore. John is an extremely gracious host showing us around and giving directions to some not to miss spots. Plenty of spots to sit on benches and even has a bathroom you can use. Will definitely be back!
Second time visiting. It’s always such a fun time for me and the dogs. I tracked at least 1+ miles of just walking on the trails without repeating. That’s probably my favorite thing about this spot since it’s much more fun for my dogs. However, if you need an open space to just play fetch there’s that as well. There’s also a nice big creek where my dog loves to (kinda) swim in. So we get all these great activities in just one spot. Definitely recommend, well worth it.
Amazing location and friendly hosts! My dogs got to swim and run around the woods! we all left super tired! Will differently be returning.
The property was beautiful, our dog had such a great time sniffing around and playing in the creek!!
My dogs had the best time here. We felt like we were on a hike. Lots of trials, places to sit and rest, shade, sun, and water. It had it all. We met the hosts and they were incredibly welcoming. We will be back for sure.
So friendly and the pups loved it! Highly recommend ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This place is gorgeous!! So many different trails and places for our dogs to sniff and run around. Both of ours dogs had an amazing time!
Property was absolutely beautiful…host did a great job showing us into the property! Definitely will be returning!
Awesome spot to do a off leash trails with your dog! So much work has gone into this property, lots of trails and creeks to enjoy. Benches and open grass areas to relax and play fetch.
Thanks for letting us enjoy it John!
Gorgeous, well-maintained property. John and Stephanie were so nice and helpful. My reactive dog has never been so happy as she was running and exploring their sniff spot. We will 100% be back this summer.
5 Ash is really the best Sniffspot we have ever used, the property is beautiful, lots of wooded trails to explore, streams to play in and the hosts are the best. I would highly recommend this to any dog parents wanting to spoil their furry kids.
I love this place. So much for my dog to explore. trail after trail, streams, bridges and not a single distraction in sight for my dog. Minus the turkey and rabbits. Only when we first got there. John and his wife were so accommodating with everything. Thank you!!!! I appreciate places like this with host like them. Thank you thank you
This is an amazing place to visit. John and his wife were the best in making you feel warm and welcome. Our dogs have never seen any farm animals and there animals were great towards our doodles. I would definitely come back and our doodles loved sniffing and running around without a leash. Awesome! 👍😍
Took my 2 dogs here today & they had a BLAST! John greeted us & gave us a tour of the property right when we arrived. There are so many fun little trails to explore, as well as a creek for the pups to play in. One of my dogs had never seen goats before & I wasn’t sure how she would react, but John let me know there is a separate access point where you do not have to walk through the animals’ pasture. This place is beautiful & is out new favorite hang out spot!
The perfect doggy playground! Gorgeous property with a well-maintained network of forested trails to explore, creeks to splash in, and some grassy flat areas to zoom around.
Note that to get to the off-leash area from the main/front entrance, you'll need to walk your leashed dogs past a bunch of (very friendly) farm animals. Super cool to see, but it feels like running the gauntlet for me with excited, prey-driven, and strong sled dogs. But they have a new parking area at the back of their property now which avoids having to walk past the farm animals.
Also, the property is very sloped, and can be tiring to walk up and down. Wear good shoes--if you visit after a very heavy rain (as we did), some places may be muddy.
The hosts are super kind people who obviously put a ton of effort into maintaining their property. We're looking forward to visiting again!
This has become a regular spot for us! The property is absolutely gorgeous and extensive so we find new things each time. Our dogs have yet to get tired of it and we absolutely love coming here!!
beautiful property, kind and helpful host, we will definitely be back!
John was so nice and the property was amazing! We could barely keep up with the dogs they just loved the fact they could roam without a leash on! Their favorite part was playing in the creek! So much detail is being put into this sniff spot we would definitely love to come back!
This is our favorite Sniffspot! The trails are well maintained and John is so nice.
John was so nice! One of our dogs can be reactive to smaller animals and John was very understanding and helpful in making sure our pups had the best experience possible. The farm and land are GORGEOUS. Our dogs had an amazing time running around and exploring. We will definitely be coming back often!
Beautiful spot, my pup loved all the streams and trails to explore. Also a great chance to socialize with farm animals that are very used to dogs. The hosts were super friendly and helpful. We had a wonderful visit!
super friendly and well kept. beautiful land
As always amazing sniff spot! So beautiful and the trails are amazing.
This spot is such a treasure! We had a blast!! We loved having John show us around when we arrived. We can’t wait to come back!
We absolutely loved our visit to Spring Acres! Our dog had tons of fun running around on the various trails and playing in the streams. We will be back!
Such a gem of a place. The hosts were amazing. John greeted us when we arrived and showed us around. We loved the trails and creeks. As a bonus, my dog was able to work on some impulse control and arousal around goats, bunnies, and roosters. We can’t wait to visit again.
Still one of the best sniffspots around!
Unexpected snow flurries made it even more magical! Beau still ran, romped, splashed and explored, taking is with him on his adventure! At the end of it all he was a wet, tired happy guy. Our favorite Spot!
Beautiful trails and lots to explore.
The snow / hail only made it more fun! The cabin porch was great for cover.
This is my second visit to Johns lovely farm Sniffspot and it was awesome. We took Butters there to celebrate his birthday and he had the most wonderful time. John and his wife are wonderful folk and we cannot wait to visit them again
This is such a wonderful spot! The hosts were so kind, showed us around the property and were totally understanding of our reactive dogs that were a bit overwhelmed. All of the farm animals were friendly and seemed totally used to having people and dogs around. The property is absolutely beautiful and has plenty of trails, fields, and creeks to explore. We will definitely be back.
We love Spring Acres! We come here so often it’s like our home away from home. John and Stephanie are great hosts - so friendly and responsive. They are always making improvements to the property too. There was a lot of storm damage this winter and they have cleared out the major portion of it - cleared faillen limbs and trees, and have added new bridges. They’ve added new signs too to help identify the various trails. The spring time is so beautiful here too but be sure to wear boots or waterproof shoes as the many of the trails are quite muddy. This spot is definitely worth the drive, speaking of which, I always enjoy the country drive to the property - good roads and a peaceful, pastoral view.
Today we opened another season of our visits to the farm . Riley was beyond himself, when recognised the road & we were pleased to find it clean , well cared for and with many improvements : cleared space by the sandy beach , new bridges and whimsical signs , cozy benches both in the shade and sun. Thoughtful hosts did everything for the dogs and their humans to feel welcomed .
Another fun day for Cooper and us at the farm. Stephanie is a wonderful host. We really enjoy getting to meet all her farm animals. Can't say enough about the fun Cooper has running the trails and playing with his ball in the creeks. Thanks again for sharing your sniff spot.
Just when I had thought this was the most beautiful nature trail, SPRING made it even more amazing! A scene from a magical fairytale 🧚♀️ with birds chirping and everything 💕 The ultimate Sniffspot experience! Biggie of course just let loose and ran around exploring. It was very clean, not one poop in sight 😄 The poop bucket was very convenient and easy to find! Very safe and the mossy/grass ground made his paws very happy 🐾 I love the cute signs, bridges, and all the quirky little details 🤗 So thankful that John and Stephanie are willing to share the space they put so much work in to all the wild babies to play and explore 🐶 Thanks for the wonderful experience every time. We all enjoyed it so much, not just Biggie 🤪
This was our second time visiting John and Stephanie's beautiful spot. Our first visit was with my old dog and three energetic young pup friends, but today we brought a dog even older than mine. I can say now with certainty that the spot offers something for people and dogs of all ages and energy levels. Lots of sniffs to take in, trails to meander, and creeks to splash through. Today we also made time to picnic on the cabin's front porch. Just lovely.
We visited for the second time and are in love with this spot. More than plenty of room for the dogs to run and multiple trails to explore. And the farm animals are so fun to see. Beautiful property.
This was our first time at a sniff spot and we loved it! The host is so kind and welcoming, our dog bleu ADORED IT!!! I will definitely be coming back. It’s very clean and peaceful. There’s different terrains and lots to sniff. Thank you so much!
By far this is our favorite sniff spot. Plenty of space for Cooper to explore. Stephanie is a wonderful host and makes you feel welcome. Lots of space, trails, creeks, bridges and very friendly goats what more can you ask for. We had a great time and will be returning.
This was our first time using sniffspot, and Spring Acres set the bar high. The location is huge, beautiful, and very clean. It was really easy to find as they put out a sniffspot sign right in front of the driveway. Stephanie greeted us and was extremely warm and inviting. The animals in the pasture are also ready to give you a warm welcome, they are so sweet. The dogs loved their time, and my husband and I did too. We will definitely be returning to this little slice of heaven.
Amazing as always.
Such a beautiful place!! They made it a dogs paradise!
John is very nice the property is beautiful and lots of places to explore! Can be muddy of course, it's a farm and has creeks, but mud makes it all that much better for dogs! Highly recommend this spot. An hour wasn't enough for us.
Great place, dogs had lots of fun but was not expecting for the host to great us and a give a tour of the sniff spot. Might be something to consider if you’re bringing a reactive/ not people friendly dog.
Amazing property and owners. Well worth it!!
An amazing Sniffspot location! John showed us around the property as it was our first visit. Lots of trails to explore, and we love the water flowing through the property! Some areas a bit muddy as expected, so wear waterproof shoes or boots! Kipling loved running through the mud and water! We will be back, thank you!
My dog and I loved it here - lots of trails to explore! We also loved the river and brooks running through the property!
This was our first SniffSpot visit and we loved it! The property is amazing!! My standard poodle and I were there with my son and his wife and two very young children and their older dog as well as my daughter with her very active 9 month old standard poodle. John was a very welcoming and helpful host and showed us around to start with. The dogs loved being able to run free in the woods and meadows and through the creeks. Afterwards John was kind enough to show us baby bunnies and Teddy the Turkey. We plan to return and look forward playing with the dogs in the creeks and woods
John was a great host! Took time out of his day to show us around the property and introduce us to his animals. Property is very large with lost of branching trails to explore. Highly recommend!
This was our very first adventure at a sniff spot, and what a great afternoon we had! I brought my 10-year-old dog Mavis and her three young Doodle friends. They had a great time racing along the trails, through the creeks and across the pasture. There had been a flood the week before so there was probably more mud than usual, but the Doodles certainly did not mind! John was a very welcoming host, meeting us upon our arrival and giving us the lay of the land. I expect to be back again with Mavis and other friends and I'm looking forward to watching how the farm changes with the seasons. Thank you for sharing this piece of heaven with us, John!
One of the best Sniffspots I’ve been to! The hosts are so nice and walked me through the property to introduce me to their cute animals. Ollie had the best time and the spot is beautiful! We’ll be back!
This spot is absolutely beautiful! The property is huge with tons of space for our 3 pups to explore and run. You can tell the host has put a lot of effort into making this place a sanctuary. Will definitely return!
Amazing spot! Even with a dusting of snow, my dogs had a wonderful time running through the trails and splashing in the stream. John was a very friendly and helpful host. We'll be back soon!
I wasn’t able to go because my dog got sick and the vet appt conflicted. But John and Stephanie were very kind and responsive when I reached out to cancel. I look forward to trying again!
Most beautiful sniff spot I’ve been to!
Besides the most friendly host and amazing farm this spot has everything a fun and peaceful day out with your pup (s) you could want! Bonus water play!!!!
Thank you - we appreciate all the work you’ve done and your kindness in sharing such a wonderful pupper get away!
What a fantastic location…and a super host… I will make this a weekly occasion for my dogs! They absolutely adored it and so did I. So peaceful, and so fun to watch the dogs run up and down and in and out of things. It’s a gem 🤩
We were so amazed at the beauty of everything here. Such amazing hiking trails that is just pure nature that is well kept and clean! Will definitely come back for hours just to picnic and enjoy the beauty of this magical place. So glad we've visited, truly amazing. The hosts were just the most wonderful and kind people that are just genuine animal lovers. So awesome seeing all the cool animals as well, a joyful bonus! I cannot believe that it is $10. The best sniffspot I've EVER visited EVER. Thank you so much for sharing your space, very much appreciated.
We had a wonderful time! The hosts are great and John was very helpful showing us around. The land is beautiful. My dogs were happily tired afterwards. Will visit again!
Super friendly hosts the area was beautiful and clean. There was so much to explore and our pup Kaya along with our kids had a blast. The hosts showed us around and we met their animals on the farm. Definitely recommend!!
Beautiful property, friendly and helpful owners. The trails are well kept, and easy to follow. We had a wonderful time and will definitely be back.
The property was so pretty and they were both so nice! Our dogs had so much fun. We even got to meet all the animals on the property, our 8 year old is already planning his next visit 😂 we’ll definitely be back!
Cannot say enough good things about this Spot - it is like a beautiful, peaceful dog paradise! The spot owners are SO friendly and gracious and the spot is clean, gorgeous and so enriching and fun. We can't wait to come back!
This place is amazing! We had a wonderful time enjoying this beautiful piece of land, and talking with the nicest people I've met in along time (hosts) my dog had the time of his life too! Thank you for sharing you're amazing property with us!
We always come here when we have a group of 5 or more dogs. A bit of everything including socializing your pup to other domesticated animals near and far. Love the place and the hosts so accommodating. Highly recommend this spot.
A blast, as always!
Best Sniff Spot ever!! I’m so grateful to this family for sharing their space with all the nervous and reactive pups out there!! The area is huge with a big open space for frisbee or chuck it, surrounded by lots of interesting trails and streams that my dog LOVED to explore. John introduced us to the farm animals, including the two beautiful Scottish Highland Cows, which was such a great learning experience for my dog. I will definitely be back!!
I gifted this visit to a couple of newcomers to the PNW, and they absolutely loved it! John gave them a tour of the property, and they raved about the beautiful setting. Their dog arrived home exhausted, and that’s the whole point, right?
This is an amazing spot! The host was extremely nice and showed us around the park before leaving us to explore. Our dogs loved all the new smells and places to run. Our big dog loved the river and creeks that ran through the park (make sure to bring towels! Our came in handy today!) We also really loved the farm animals that were in the pasture. Our barker had to show off her voice when the cows came to say hello and our other one was so interested in the goats that walked us to the car. We recommend this place to anyone and we will be back very soon!
We love this spot, so much fun exploring, trails are well maintained.
John is the most gracious host we have ever experienced! He was so sweet and respectful to our anxious dog who normally doesn’t like other people, but didn’t bark at him once. The property is AMAZING! We live an hour away and fully plan on coming here every free weekend we’ve got. John gave us a full tour and explained all of the different areas and boundaries. It is plenty fenced enough that you won’t even notice it’s only partially- I know we didn’t. Our dog has never been more exhausted, he had the best time ever and so did we. Thank you so much and we can’t wait to come back soon!
Great time!! Can’t wait to keep coming back.
We had such a great time - running up and down the trails, checking out the rivers and playing with sticks. There was lots to explore. The host was great, met us and walked us around the property. We’ll definitely be back. The sniffspot is not fully fenced, but we had no problem keeping our pup inside the boundaries.
We loved our first visit to John’s Sniffspot. We will definitely be back for another visit! Our dog loved the creek and the trails as well as the farm animals! Lots of places to sit and take a break too. 10/10
Such a great visit! Virgil loved the creeks and trails. We had a great opportunity to practice recall. Lots of great benches to sit on throughout the property. We wore waterproof boots which were great for all the creeks. We can’t wait to come back!!
John greeted us on arrival and showed us around. Great property with many trails and spots to explore. Our dogs loved the stream and running up and down the trails. We booked for 2 hours and it was just enough to have the most sleepy pups on the way home.
Beautiful property. John has clearly put a lot of love and work into the trails. Loved the pretty bridges throughout. So many trails to explore, it was just as much fun for me as it was for my dog. John is a wonderful host and gave me a quick tour so I knew where to go. We will definitely be back!
This is our second visit, and right after much snow and rain. While a bit muddy the little bridges and trails were not bad. I wore heavy duty rainboots and didn't slip.
This place is great for my very active guy to explore and sniff, and it's sort of magical up that hill!
Incredible visit today! So much snow and we had such a fun time. John and Stephanie are the absolute best hosts...amazing communication and super helpful keeping us updated with the weather conditions. We just love it here. ♥
What a pleasant way to spend some time with the dogs, beautiful land.
Fun, gorgeous, and private trails plus delightful hosts and farm animals!
Love this place! My dogs had a blast as always. The hosts are just the best.
This place is perfect! So many trails, water to run in, beautiful place! The owner is so nice and gave us a quick tour. Will definitely be returning!!
Idyllic spot with lovely trails, woodlands, creeks, and things to sniff. We had a great time despite the drizzly weather. The bridges are slippery when wet, so watch your step and plan your footwear accordingly.
It’s a beautiful property with trails and open space. It’s like letting your dog run free through the woods! The creek runs through several places so there’s always plenty of water to drink and play in if your dog likes the water! I can’t say enough good things about it! I’m looking forward to spring and Summer there!
This place is ideal for a real romp in the countryside. Varied terrain from a field for fetch, a riverside to explore, and plenty of trails, varying in difficulty. Best of all, so much space for our rugged pup to roam, and come back to me. Excellent for his recall work! We went on a rainy day because our guy needs the exercise no matter the weather. There is a nice covered porch with chairs to take a break. I imagine it's paradise in the warmer seasons.
We had a fantastic time! Lots to explore, lots of places to sit and relax and absolutely beautiful scenery.
Amazing, my dogs had so much fun! Really great spot with lots of mental stimulation as well.
Perfect place to let my dog run free. There are a ton of cute trails to walk on and my dog loved playing near the creek!
A beautiful and private setting - great to visit any time of year.
This is a must go destination spot! And the owners are lovely people.
Just don't forget to bring dog towels!
If our pup could describe a little piece of heaven, it would be here!! The property was perfect for our 7 month old German shepherd to run around off leash and run free! The land was just absolutely stunning. Trail we’re well groomed (even after a large storm). John and Stephanie have done something very special to this space and we’re so nice to come out and greet us, show us across the pasture, and where their marked trails were. We will be back 100%!
The five ash farm is very cool. Our dogs went wild exploring the trails and playing in the many streams available. We will most defiantly be back for more dog fun. We highly recommend this spot!
Best Sniffspot ever! We had a great time, hung out on the cabin porch while the dogs played on the trails!
They are just the sweetest people and the sniffspot is hands down the best!
We adore this sniffspot! so many places to explore and sniff! My dog even learned to like water here!
Still one of the best sniffspots I've ever been to. Being able to sit on the cabin porch and drink a beverage while the dogs run around is simply priceless
Our 3 pups had SO much fun visiting this sniff spot! John and Stephanie were so hospitable and gave really clear instructions on how to maximize the fun on their beautiful property. There is plenty of room to roam, experience the trails, hang out by the creek, and enjoy being outside in a safe, clean and scenic area! Having an 11 month old Border Collie who is reactive to animals makes a lot of public spaces really tough, this gave so many opportunities for off leash practice, recall and providing a really enriching experience for our dogs!
This was my first sniff spot experience and it exceeded my expectations. John and Stephanie are so kind and welcoming. My dog Hank had an absolute blast exploring their beautiful farm. Several trails to explore and a creek for the dogs to splash around in. Highly recommend!
The sniff spot was awesome! My dog had a blast running through the trails and splashing through the creek. We had such a tranquil time sitting at the cabin and listening to the creek. They put such a amazing thought into their spot with hand made signs with trail names and everything! The host was super nice and even gave us some lettuce from his garden!!
What. A. Blast. This is the best Sniffspot ever! Met up with 2 friends and their 2 dogs for a few hours and really enjoyed the variety of field, trails, and the creek. Great hospitality, too. We will be back!
We always enjoy this spot and the hosts are fabulous. They are always welcoming and very communicative. The creek has more water in it now that it has rained - dogs that like to swim will love taking a dip in it. Be sure to wear boots or water resistant shoes as things are wet and a bit muddy now that the rains have returned.
Amazing property. 10/10 will be back again.
John, you and your amazing wife, made Tucker’s last big outing the best it could be. To watch him run to that water and lay down brought me so much peace. Tuckers peace was in the water. I am so thankful for your generosity and kindness that day. Unfortunately Tucker lost his battle to Lymphoma only days after visiting your amazing farm. The pictures and videos I have from that day are so very special to me! I am so thankful to have such wonderful memories with my boy! You have an amazing farm that I highly recommend to anyone…the river is absolutely incredible! However the most amazing part is the kindness you will be shown the minute you arrive by John and his wife. Simply put they are just down home people. Thank you again for the kindness you showed to my family…we will remember it always 💜
We come here often and my dog loves it. He feels comfortable and at home and enjoys all the wonderful woodland sniffs. John and Stephanie are really great hosts - warm, welcoming and very communicative. I also appreciate how they’ve held steady at a reasonable $10 rate, making this one of the best properties for the value. Thank you John and Stephanie!!
Such a beautiful, peaceful place! Our dogs had a blast… this spot had everything they could dream of- open fields, trails and a creek to run and play in. There is overgrowth on some of the trails that can make it difficult for non-canines to get through but we still had plenty of space to explore. Our host was very accommodating. We will be back!
We had a fantastic time as always! Love this place! :)
Wonderful property with gorgeous trails and wooded area for exploring. My dogs and I loved spending our time there running (me walking haha) around the trails, over bridges, and in the field. The hosts were very friendly and welcoming. They have taken the time to place plenty of benches and creating cute walkways and bridges around the property as well. They also provided toys and poo bags as well. You can tell they've really taken the time to think of the "little things" to make your time very enjoyable while there. Even the restroom is stunning! Highly reccomend and will be back again myself with my pups.
I really love this place, I live in lakewood and Enumclaw is pretty far away from me, I love it so much I have another booking for this Monday! I love the river all the trails and most of all its fenced and lots and lots to look at, they even have a cow(i can not remember the breed) i do knoe his name and that would be Yuhan, he was very sweet and I am surprised my dog did not go after farm animals. Overall this place is AMAZING! if I could give this rating ten stars I would, and the owners are just wonderful. Very nice sweet. They are really great people
What an absolutely amazing spot! With several creeks to run and swim in to uphill forested areas, this place is absolutely wonderful. We will be back for sure! This spot is absolutely wonderful and the hosts are amazing and very kind! Many places to sit and just enjoy the sounds of nature and play a little fetch with the dogs.
Absolutely wonderful spot, my dogs never stopped smiling. Trails for exploring, a couple open areas to run in, and even a creek and a swimming hole to splash in. I picked this spot because I was in the area to meet a friend but I may have to drive all the way down here just to visit this location, it’s that good.
Great spot for wandering trails and playing in the water.
I've been coming to Spring Acres for 2 years now, and every time I just love it. It's beautiful, fun for my dogs and I can make it a challenging work out for me, or just a casual walk and exploration. It's starting to be that on somedays...1 hr just isn't enough. So many different trails to explore.
John and Stephanie are awesome hosts!
We had an absolutely amazing time! Our puppy played her little heart out. This was such a nice setup and John did such a great job making us feel welcome and giving us a tour of the trails/property prior to our playtime. We will definitely be back soon.
Great spot! Lots of room to roam and my dogs loved the creek!
If I could give this place 6+ stars, I would! John, the host, was incredibly kind, informative, and helpful. The space for the dogs to run is amazing with cool running water, a swimming hole, nature trails, stumps, benches for the humans to relax on, you name it. And it was fun to see the farm animals too. Beautiful property and kind people.
The dogs on the property were secured inside the house, but were barking from indoors. Since the off-leash area is away from the house, this was not a problem at all.
Stephanie and John are absolutely lovely. There's ample room for your dog(s) to romp around. It's fenced and secure so you can rest easy if you have an adventurer like mine. I wish I lived in WA, because this is an amazing sniffspot! I will definitely come back when I'm in the area!
It was so beautiful and fun exploring the trails. My dogs had a blast.
This is by far the best Sniffspot ever! The hosts are amazing and the spot is incredible!
We had a great time here. Hosts were very kind. The property is beautiful and a perfect place to let our two dogs run and play.
Beautiful property! We can’t wait to go back! Lots to see and explore.
It is the loveliest property with a creek, multiple trails, sightings of sweet farm animals and great hosts! We’re already excited to go back. Butters throughly enjoyed himself in this green wonderland. Thank you to the hosts for sharing their amazing space!
This was our first time using a sniff spot, and I’m so glad we went. The property was lovely, peaceful, and our host John made us feel very welcome. Our 2 dogs enjoyed running through the woods, and they spent a lot of time in the shallow creek. We will definitely be back. We highly recommend this sniff spot.
Amazing oasis for dogs and humans!
Still our favorite! Not sure who enjoys this spot more, me or the dogs ;D
amazing! i fractured my ankle last week and my dogs needed an adventure, the hosts met me when i arrived and helped me (on my scooter) and my dogs to the spot. i didn't get to explore the trails but my dogs had a blast. checking everything out and playing in the creek!
Such a wonderful spot! GO! My lab loved it and John the host was awesome! The stream was perfect too. I’ll definitely go back - it’s a great spot to spend some time !
The farm is so amazing! My two dogs absolutely loved their time there and we will definitely be back. My swimmer dog loved the swimming hole! I always say tired dogs are good dogs and my dogs were exhausted after their time at the farm. Looking forward to our next visit already.
A wonderful and well-kept spot for training, on and off leash play. The other animals on the property were a great training opportunity. If you have a highly reactive dog you may want to talk to John about entering through the other entrance to avoid his wonderful farm animals. The creek was amazing and we can't wait to come back to do more training, work with long lines and practicing our hiking skills on well-kept trails.
Amazing place for both parents and dogs. Our pups loved it. We will back for sure. Great tour and customer service. Such a hidden treasure.
This is a great place to bring any dog to explore, but especially a reactive dog. The owners are very friendly. Lots of little trails and benches. There was a shallow creek perfect for dogs and kids. Lots of cute little bridges. We had a wonderful first sniff spot experience!
Spring acres is our favorite place to spend some quality time , away from it all . Riley the Boxer loves wondering for hours through the numerous fairytale trails & streams , that are lovingly maintained by the owners. In fact, love for the nature, creativity & meticulous care of the place are evident in every corner of this heaven on earth for dogs & their people.
As usual this was a great day at the farm. We were able to take personal portraits while our dogs enjoyed the streams and walking the trails. John and Stephanie are such wonderful hosts and have done such a great job at making this a welcoming and beautiful place for the dogs and ourselves to get some exercise. We love it and will be returning!!
My dog and I had the best time! Couldn’t recommend this spot more
Great property and friendly hosts!
Very fun spot! Lots of little trails for the dogs to explore, and some really nice creek access. Wore my dogs out nicely.
We and the doggies had another wonderful visit to Spring Acres Farm! Arrived with three pooches in serious need of fun and exploring, and left an hour later with contented, waggy, tongue-lolling pups! They raced around the pasture, charged along the forest trails and splashed in the creek! Happy, happy dogs and relieved parents! Thank you, Spring Acres!
One of the best Sniffspots around! Our dogs love coming here, and we do too. The hosts are kind and welcoming, and the space is fantastic. Pristine, peaceful, and lots of different sights, smells, and sounds.
host is friendly, my dog had a great time, we'll definitely go back again
This was my first Sniffspot, and it was a great one! My dog, Teddy, had a blast exploring the trails and streams, and I enjoyed the peaceful setting. John was a wonderful host, giving us a tour of his property and introducing us to the farm animals. We will definitely be back!
Another super fun visit! We loved every minute of it!
hands down our favorite sniffspot! welcoming hosts, amazing space. our pups had a blast playing in the stream on a warm summer day.
Amazing spot to explore the woods with your dog, play fetch with sticks, and splash/swim in the creek to cool off. We spent 3 hours here and walked every trail we can find (there are many). It was very peaceful and quiet, and I appreciated the well-placed benches to relax and take in the environment. It was a great place to practice recall off-leash with my dog.
John and Stephanie were both very welcoming and walked us through the pasture area where the cows chicken and rabbits hang out.
Planning to come back here again!
We started using Sniffspot’s about one year ago and Spring Acres was the first one we visited. Since then we have visited many others but this one remains our favorite. It’s large and private, with the variety of terrain that we enjoy - water, woodlands and flat grassy areas. The hosts are awesome too! We visit here often and highly recommend it for reactive (and all other) dogs.
This place is great. I was so glad to get my boys back out there. Great trails with some great creeks and water falls. Some great open areas and a few places to take a seat. Its a wonderful place where both the dogs and myself get some great exercise while walking and exploring all the different trails.
This a beautiful place, more beautiful than anticipated. There are little quant details throughout the many places to explore. We definitely needed more time as did the dogs. Many trails and many places for the dogs to play in the water. This is an gem of a place. The owner was very kind and helpful. He gave us a bit of a tour to make sure we knew about the details of the property. This is a must!!
Lovely spot, lovely folks! Our dogs loved it. One of the best Sniffspots we’ve been to - highly recommend!
We have been to many different sniff spots around Seattle, and John and Stephanie’s property is by far our favourite. They have put so much care into the property. We love that there variety of trails, open areas, and water. The hosts are very friendly and always make us feel welcome.
Very beautiful property, perfect on this hot day. We spent all of our two hours by the creek and dogs had a blast! We will be back!!
we have been at this sniffspot before and it's wonderful! unfortunately we couldn't make it this time due to an emergency we had to attend to.
We love this place! It’s a great spot to visit any time of year, but during this hot weather we especially appreciate it. My dog took several dips in the creek to cool off. John and Stephanie are the best too!
Far and away the most fabulous Sniffspot we've experienced! Exercised doggies in the pasture, swam them in the pristine creek, and together explored the paths among the cool evergreen trees on the hillside! Left exhausted and happy!!
I had such an amazing time with my 12 year old son and our 1 year old Aussie, Bear. We explored many beautiful trails and ended the visit by cooling off in the refreshing creek.
The owners were so kind and welcoming and gave us a quick tour. They provide you with biodegradable poop bags and a place to dispose of them. We are absolutely in love with this place and already booked our next visit!
great spot, lots of room to hike and play, lots of room at the creek to cool off and the dogs swim, super accomidating hosts.
John's spot was so beautiful and our high energy Springer Spaniel had plenty of space to explore, sniff, and swim. We highly recommend and will be returning!
Wonderful Sniffspot! My dog enjoyed all of the little trails and swimming in the water.
So wonderful!! Will absolutely return!!!
What a beautiful spot! Trails to explore, sand to dig in, sticks to fetch. A doggy paradise. Highly recommend!
This place become our family favourite retreat : the beauty , serenity and heart warming welcome of the owners leave a long lasting impression and desire to return .
This spot is AMAZING! So very many different trails and things to sniff! My dog has the potential to be reactive/aggressive, sooo we go to a lot of sniffspots. This spot is one of the very best; both in terms of safety and location/amenities.
The owner is very thoughtful and is understanding of my dog's issues as well.
Just a fantastic place :)
John and Stephanie provided us with a warm welcome and showed us their property with open arms. John walked us through this beautiful property and guided us to the various trails and bridges that were clearly marked in the property. We were also introduced to the goats, chickens, rabbits and cows. :) The biodegradable poop bags and a place to dispose them was a bonus which we really appreciated. The details on the property and the care that has been given (including the cabin that is under construction) was exceptional. Playing in the creek after the muddy hike was a great way to get our pooch tired and cleaned up ! We will be sure to return again! Thank you !
A perfect get away for my malamute. Lots of trails and sitting spots. The hosts were awesome and greeted us right away. It’s rural but there is a sign at the road so you know you’re in the right spot. Highly recommend!
DOGGO HEAVEN. Super hospitable and welcoming hosts! We loved our visit and can’t wait to come back.
wonderful spot. very warm and inviting host.
the sniff was clean and so well taken care of. Felt wonderful to let our dogs loose to explore in a safe place away from reactive off leash dogs. it was very freeing. we have a deaf dog who is also partially blind. she gets nervous around strange dogs. so for her to explore safely with our dogs was wonderful.
This is officially our favorite SniffSpot! I'd give it 11 stars if I could. There are many trails to explore and lots to do. We especially loved playing in the creek. My dog isn't much of a swimmer but he swam a lot and loved being in the water. The only downside is that they're not closer to home. Thank you for allowing us on your property and being a great host. We can't wait to come back!
This place is a pure delight to all senses : serene , mostly shady , with a cozy beach area by the shallow creek . Gracious hosts , John & Stephanie , put a lot of thoughts & craftsmanship into the land to create this charming oasis for pets and their owners enjoyment.
Location and parking are well marked & secure , area is adequately fenced with clear paths throughout , numerous benches & chairs to rest ; bio degradable waste bags & smart disposal are thoughtfully provided .
We were looking for a safe & fun place for our rumbustious dog to roam through , and found a tranquil retreat for ourselves. Owners are doing an outstanding job to create a welcoming environment.
This is our all-time favourite sniff spot.
This is my absolute favorite sniffspot. Not only was the property like a little piece of heaven for humans and dogs alike, John the host was wonderful and oh so welcoming!
Our German Shepherd puppy and 10 year old Schnoodle explored this spot with absolute delight - heavily wooded trails, an exciting river, lots of gurgling streams, many quaint little bridges, whimsically named paths. So much care has been taken with this place, it is breathtaking. Such adventures to be had for the pups and such restoration for the soul. John showed us all the important parts and got us started on the right track. I didn’t expect it to live up to rhe hour plus trip there but it surpassed my expectations! We will be back. Thank you!
This property is magical! My Roman absolutely loved it and ran the entire time. If your looking for an adventure for both you and your dog I highly recomend this Snifspot. I cant wait to book again!!!
The owner (wife...husband was not home) was so nice. The property was beautiful. We will be going again. Thank you so much for sharing your place❤️
Our favorite sniff spot. The host are absolutely amazing! This was our third time and we try to go at least once a month.
Lots of trails to explore! My dog loved it there!
John and Stephanie's farm offers peace and serenity far from the hustle and bustle of the city. I came to Seattle to visit my sick grandfather and needed a place to unwind with my reactive rescue dog Georgie. John was very kind and patient. Georgie barked at John the whole time we walked across the field to the enclosed Sniffspot but he remained calm which allowed her to slightly lower her guard. You can tell that he's had lots of experience with dogs and it was reassuring. Everything on the farm and trails have been placed and carefully thought out with love and intention. Georgie had a great time sniff and running through the stream. We both really need a safe spot to enjoy together and were very grateful for the experience. John had extended the offer to let my family come back with the dogs but due to the tight schedule we couldn't make it out there together. I would have loved to come back and explore. I wish we lived in Washington. I recommended this location to my cousin so I hope she'll be able to bring her dog to explore.
I just love this place. It is so well maintained and all the trails are such an adventure for the dogs as well as us. It was so wonderful to get back this year, and as always great hosts! It was even better this year...we discovered a couple new trails. Very tranquil in places, little creeks here and there, plenty of places to park your hiney if you want and there are a couple really open spaces for play time with your dogs as well. Its JUST BEAUTIFUL here. I may book it just for myself just to go and sit and have some me time.😉😉😉.
The people were super friendly, and showed us around. Lots of benches to sit and play with your dog - and an awesome river to splash in. This place was so awesome i will def be back :)
So much fun for dogs who enjoy running off leash and playing in the water! Beautiful property with well maintained trails and places to sit if you want to. The hosts were welcoming, friendly and explained the property with a short and helpful tour.
so fun! so beautiful! hosts are so friendly!
Wonderful as always! All my kiddos’ favorite spot - both four and two legged!
A little of everything for dogs to enjoy. The trails with wooden signs and benches was a fun touch. Izzy had fun trying each one, but her favorite attraction was the stream and small river. My only suggestion might be to put a fenced path thru the first barn yard with the animals rather than just have dogs on a leash. Izzy just wanted to meet and play with the goats, rabbits and chickens but a reactive strong dog would be too hard to hold back. Next time I will either bring my slip leash or park in top so I don't have to walk her thru the animals. 🤔
I think I had as much fun as my dog did. This property is beautiful and thoughtfully laid out. It is a peaceful escape for you & your pup! And the hosts are great people.
Wow! Just spectacular! The water access, the trails, the quiet, the hosts! Just beyond impressed with our entire experience today and we can't wait to return!
We LOVE this spot! Our dog has so much fun running around.
We had a wonderful time. Beautiful property with the friendliest hosts! Our pups splashed in the water, ran through the trails and we even saw a bald eagle fishing in the creek! We can't wait to book again
The hosts keep making improvements and this time we noticed some new benches tucked away in a couple of the far corners of the property. Its a great time of year to visit too. The new spring growth in the woods is really pretty.
This is a lovely Sniffspot, with a stream to get wet in, an open area for fetch, and several short trails in the forest to wander through. We'll definitely be back! The hosts were fantastic, as well.
This is a beautiful property and peaceful. John and Stephanie are very friendly nice people. My dog had a blast! Thank you for sharing your beautiful property with others!
John and Stephanie are friendly hosts and their spot is a fun dog adventure land! We'll be back again.
Incredible spot for pups and people! Lots to explore and sniff for dogs, and humans will enjoy the beauty and serenity.
We had a lovely visit and hope to return soon.
Beautiful spot - dogs had a blast. Swimming, hiking and romping, their favorite things.
Super awesome Sniffspot! John was very helpful and showed us around his property. Sky had himself a party ! We booked an hour but next time we’ll book 2hrs! So much fun for our little guy. I loved watching my lil pup walk across bridges and streams. So much fun!
We just adore this place...it's like our home away from home. Super sweet farm and John & Stephanie are the most wonderful people. Fun trails and a great little creek...there's lots to explore, me & Cooper always have such a great time. 😍
We absolutely LOVE our time at Stephanie and John's sanctuary. The dogs are so happy there- and so are we!
We absolutely loved this place! John and his wife were so sweet and welcoming. The dogs had a lot of fun running and exploring. The trails had cute names and there were many new things for our dogs to experience, like seeing farm animals and playing in the water.
The only thing our pup loves more than water is running water. This lovely sniff spot is full of trails with a creek that runs through it. The hosts were friendly and so nice.
This is our favorite spot to come to! We love exploring the trails. John is very welcoming. Can’t wait to go back!
This place is amazing! There are lots of well marked trails with fun names and signage. My dog was in absolute heaven running around and exploring, he was smiling the whole time. There is also a great cabin in progress we hope to rent when ready, so we can spend more time here. Oh, and did I mention the hosts are very welcoming and nice people. We will definitely be back.
This is such a sweet farm and a really nice, big Sniffspot. Lots of wide open grassy areas, wooded trails and varying terrain along with a creek (that can be more like a river in Winter). One of our regular spots and we absolutely love it here. It's our home away from home. ♥ Thank you so much John & Stephanie!!!
We love it here!!! John & Stephanie are the best hosts ever and we have so much fun every time we visit. ♥ Thank you guys!!!
Our dogs LOVED this spot! We’ve never done a sniff spot before and it was definitely a great experienced. Tons of running water and even little trails to explore through! Super kind host too. Thank you guys!!
Another great pawventure day with my dogs and my friend’s dogs. John’s and Stephanie’s place is a true doggy paradise. Highly recommend this SniffSpot- especially if you’re looking for a bit of everything. Bonus- a restroom to use by the barn before leaving. And domestic animals on the property feels you’re at a petting zoo. Especially for your pup who has never seen an animal before, this is a good opportunity to socialize them from afar.
We had a great time at Spring Acres! It was such a beautiful property and the owners were so welcoming and kind! Our pup Ziggy had an amazing time exploring. We will definitely return.
We LOVED coming to this spot! All of the trails and little bridges were such a fun experience. John was such a great host as well. We will definitely be back!
John's property was absolutely beautiful! We brought three dogs here and they had so much fun sniffing and running through the little trails! We definitely can't wait to come back. John was great at explaining where the trails end and making sure we knew where everything was.
Great location & great people
Another great experience at Spring Acres! My dog loves this place and we come often. Stephanie and John are always making improvements too. For example, they’ve recently patched some muddy spots with gravel, put in a new parking spot on the back entrance, and have added another waste receptacle. Highly recommended!!
The property is beautiful and my dogs got to encounter chickens goats and cows for the first time. There are a lot of beautiful little bridges over streams and property is well maintained. Already booked our next visit!
A great Sniffspot with fabulous hosts and a beautiful piece of property! We always enjoy, and get a great workout, on the wooded trails which are quite hilly. Be sure to wear boots this time of year as some areas are muddy. There is also a tree down from the last wind storm and it blocks one of the steepest trails - not a problem though as there are plenty of other trails and it gave me an excuse not to hike the hardest one! My reactive dog absolutely loves this Sniffspot and I feel comfortable knowing we won’t run into others. Thanks John and Stephanie for providing such a wonderful experience.
One of our favorite Sniffspots, we come here regularly all year round. Such special place. John & Stephanie are true animal lovers with huge hearts...they put so much effort into creating a safe, fun park for their guests and we are genuinely grateful. Thank you John & Stephanie, you guys are the best!! ♥
We always have the best time here !
Fields, streams, paths, puppy bridges - you same it, this place has it! Super welcoming host, adorable animals (cows, goats, bunnies and chickens) to meet along the way! A terrific Sniffspot!!!
This spot has everything! It is such a cool, hidden gem. There are all sorts of little trails, a creek for the dogs to play in (or drink from) and overall tons of space to sniff and play. Also a very well kept bathroom if needed, which we really appreciated since we drove 1+ hour to get to this spot. Very excited to come back in warmer weather with many pups!
Such a wonderful property!! We had so much fun letting out dog run around and explore!
Always amazing and so relaxing. A beautiful place.
The pups had so much fun. Perfect blend of trails, open space, and water play!
We had such a good time here! We will be coming back. John was very welcoming and showed us around. The trails are very well maintained. All around a great experience!!
John was a wonderful host he greeted us and gave us the lay of the land. His love of the land really shows in all the trail work, bridges, signs etc. It really is a puppy paradise and I am looking forward to our next visit. The 4 pack are wet, muddy, and happy. They didn’t make a peep all the way home.
Really fun visit. Met up with a friend and the two dogs had a blast. This is such a great place for the pups....loads of space and a variety of terrain to explore. There are woodsy trails, a creek and a couple of nice big grassy areas. We just love it here. Thanks John & Stephanie! ☺
We had a great time exploring and running around the spot! John kindly gave us a tour of the area when we arrived. Paden loved drinking the cool spring water and making friends with the goats! We will definitely return.
Great visit. We really love this place rain or shine. John & Stephanie are such amazing, attentive hosts and true animal lovers. Awesome trails, a creek and loads to explore. Cooper is heaven here. ☆☆☆☆☆
What a great spot! Not only did my little guy love it, but I also enjoyed hiking around the spot. John was a great host, and super friendly. Will definitely be back as there is so much to explore!
Fantastic spot. Large and easy to find! Hosts are super nice and happy to help orient you with the space.
We've been coming here for over a year and really love this spot. It's always evolving and John & Stephanie are working hard to keep this a safe, fun spot for their guests. Such a beautiful area and so much for the dogs to explore, a really awesome place to be. ♥
Amazing Sniffspot. John & Stephanie are such gracious, sweet hosts and genuine animal lovers and this is such a nice space for the dogs to be in nature & explore. We are so grateful to have the opportunity to share this space. Thank you guys!
Really great spot. Woods, a creek...everything a dog (and human) could hope for. One of our favs. ♥
Amazing Sniffspot! At the very top there is no enclosure, otherwise the area is secured by either fencing or very thick tall brush. We feel completely safe here. A really nice variety of terrain and nature...wonderful trails, a creek and grassy areas. You can tell this farm is loved. Thanks John & Stephanie!! ♥
This was an absolutely AMAZING SniffSpot experience. The hosts were extremely kind during our visit and their property was absolutely stunning. We loved the farm animals! There was ample room to explore the wooded areas and creeks on their property. It was a great experience all across the board for my pup and family! We would love to return to Spring Acres. Thank you so much John and Stephanie!!
We come here a lot and always have such an amazing time. John & Stephanie are the absolute best hosts imaginable and the Sniffspot is a dog's dream. We are always discovering something new here. I find 2 hours gives us just enough time to explore all the trails, splash in the creek and play. My boy leaves very happy after every visit and is completely content the rest of the day. Really excellent spot!
Our favorite Sniffspot. It has nearly everything our dogs love- water, woods, open areas. And wonderful hosts and farm animals. The stream and sandy banks are great for swimming and play, the woods trails are lovingly cared for, and you can get some good exercise walking up the hill.
Always an amazing fun time. If I could give this spot 50 stars I would!
Amazing spot, one of our absolute favorites. John & Stephanie are just the sweetest people on earth and the area is so beautiful. A great place to catch your breath and relax with your best dog bud. 😍
We love this spot! We come here regularly year round and it's so cool to watch it change over the different seasons. Super pretty and peaceful and the dogs are just in heaven here. Thank you John and Stephanie!
We just visited beautiful Spring Acres with our two older dogs and our new 13 week old puppy. This was my second visit after being introduced to the place by a friend recently. I was determined to return soon with our canine gang! The owner met us upon arrival and kindly oriented us to the area; we then headed off on our own excited to explore! The weather was sunny but cool with scattered snow still on the ground; the creek was running fairly high. Given the delightful layout of the natural wooded property with its trails and little bridges that traverse the hillside, our doggies were able to clamber and explore happily until they were good and tired (and a bit muddy!) The magical trails open up to various level meadows where the dogs could romp and chase each other freely (the snow patches provided a new experience for our pup!). Our hour flew past! We headed home with three tired happy dogs after a delightful time in nature! Thank you!
Always a five star experience! Thank you John and Stephanie.
This was a fun spot! Lots to explore. On the way in, we did have to walk through the area that the goats, cows, and chickens are. The dogs didn't seem to mind the first time, but on our way back through they were definitely a bit more fixated. Some of the trails ended with no warning and others looped around. It was quiet and peaceful and one dog enjoyed his dip in the river.
Such a large, beautiful property - like having our own private dog park. Five star experience!
A great place, and excellent, fun adorable paths. The hosts are very kind.
This was such a fun experience for our dogs! The trails were so fun to explore and it was really cool for the dogs to get to see some new animals. John and his wife were so friendly and showed up around the property.
Lovely place to spend a few hours that has it all - privacy, trails as well as a nice flat area to play ball and a small cabin with a porch on which you can have your lunch will listening to the stream and quiet of nature. Most of the trails are marked with signs and lined with logs to make them easier to follow. Would not recommend the trails for someone with bad knees. They aren't flat. And some areas are pretty muddy at this point. Our dog loves it though and it is a joy to see him be so happy and to be able to run off leash and explore like a dog should. He also loves the creek which is not very deep and has a little bit of a current. We all enjoyed the goats, chickens and cows! Beautiful property, very tranquil. I agree with everyone else - John and Stephanie are very welcoming.
Love this place! Woodsy and peaceful. We feel very at home here and completely safe. A mixture of groomed and primitive terrain with trails and a creek. Definitely wear boots in the winter, some spots can get muddy in the winter but if you stick to the main areas, it's easy to avoid. Always an awesome adventure!
Great experience as always! We even lucked out with dry weather. Highly recommend this Sniffspot for all types of dogs.
Spectacular! Really pretty spot with lots to do. The very top is unfenced but super easy to avoid once you get down the hill. Everywhere else is enclosed by fencing or very thick tall brush so we always feel completely safe and secure here. There are trails and a creek and some large open areas. We come here regularly and Cooper always has a blast!
Spectacular! It can definitely get muddy here during the raining season but it's fairly easy to avoid and the dogs can also wash off in the creek. :-) A really nice park-like setting and we always feel very safe & welcome here. One of our favorite spots!
Great spot! We have been here many times and it's always amazing. Thanks John & Stephanie! 😍
This was our first SniffSpot experience and it was truly 5 star!
We were greeted warmly by the hosts and their goats! John led us through a gated pasture with goats, hens, bunnies, and 2 highland cattle which was a great experience for our dog (on leash) and us! Once in Spring Acres, it’s off leash and we had so much fun exploring! The trail system was very well maintained with clever trail signs made of wood. There is a very cute cabin under construction at the center of all the trails and John said we were welcome to sit on the deck and hang out. I wish I would have packed a lunch for us since I booked two hours. A few of the trails were muddy due to the recent rain, but the nearby streams were a great place for Bentley to wade in and wash off. My husband, daughter and I enjoyed hiking and exploring the trails as much as Bentley did! Great day!
Always a good time!!
Five star experience as always! Nice and private. Great for reactive dogs.
Great Sniffspot with lots of room to roam and explore. Hosts are fabulous too! We come here at least once a week and it never disappoints.
One of our favorite spots! Trails, a creek and lots of open space to roam. Every visit is amazing. Our home away from home. 🤗
Such an amazing experience for my pup and for us! So much land for them to roam freely, jumping around the creeks and pretty waterfalls and running everywhere!! My puppy got to meet the goats and the cows they had there. They even helped spray off my dogs legs & dried him off before we let him back in the car. Definitely recommend this place and will be back!
When we first arrived John came Outside and gave us a full tour of the property to ensure we didn’t get lost. My dogs absolutely love this area, they can swim and run until they drop and they even got to say hi to some goats. Not only do my dogs love this area, but I do as well. Absolutely beautiful and you get the hiking experience without a bunch of other people around.
Loved it! My pups had so much fun and met a cow! Played in the water too! Our host was amazing and showed us around while still being safe with social distancing and wearing a mask. Would highly recommend even with it being a bit of a drive. Definitely worth it!
John could not have been nicer. Very hospitable, and friendly. My pup seemed to have an unbelievable time.
Wonderful experience. John and Stephanie were gracious hosts. Dogs seemed to have a *great* time. Will definitely visit again. 😋
If I could give this spot more than 5 stars, I would! John and Stephanie are incredibly welcoming and kind hosts and the spot is amazing. Their animals are all so chill and used to dogs, so it was a great chance for my city pups to meet the friendly goats on our way through the pasture to the Sniffspot. The Sniffspot space is truly a wonderland for pups - streams to splash in, wooden bridges, trees and rocks to climb on, open spaces for romping, so many trails to explore, and an adorable cabin where you can relax on the porch for a bit. Come prepared for some mud and slippery bridges if you visit during the rainy season, but it's SO worth it. I recommend booking at least 2 hrs to fully explore all that this spot has to offer. We've been out from West Seattle twice now and will absolutely be back - my dogs lost their minds with excitement when we arrived for our second visit!
A puppy paradise! This was such an amazing and enriching experience for our 5month old GSP. From running the trails all the way down to splashing in the creek, every minute of our time there was full of fun! The hosts are absolutely delightful. Cannot wait to visit again!
Another great experience at John’s and Stephanie’s farm. Definitely The Spot for you and your dog if you’re looking for a bit of an adventure out in their beautiful land with streams and creeks and socializing your dogs to their farm animals. Truly couldn’t find a better place to be on our social distancing Thanksgiving day. The pups came back dirty, happy and exhausted. John and Stephanie were also very accommodating; offered us a towel to dry our pups before we leave home and told us where the bathroom is should we need to use it. I am looking forward to another outing at this place next week and bringing my friend and her GSD along.
We really love it here. Stephanie and John are so kind and accommodating and the farm is so sweet and peaceful. Always a really fun time. Thanks guys! 😍
Five star experience as always!
Amazing. Can’t wait to come again.
As usual John and Stephanie are such wonderful hosts and my pups had a GREAT time!
We come here at least once a week and it never fails to disappoint. This time we had an added bonus of seeing a deer. My doggo took off like a shot and had to run at least 100 yards uphill to chase him. Needless to say he was not successful in catching up with him but he had a blast trying. He was a very tired pup afterwards too!
Five stars as always! Highly recommended spot.
My Great Dane and I were there on a less than stellar day, but we still greatly enjoyed our time and the hospitality of our hosts John and Stephanie. The property is lovely, with so much to offer people and pups. Even though the weather wasn’t amenable to a lot of exploring, we enjoyed our time hanging out under the deep eave of the cabin and the protection of the hemlocks when we did venture out to walk. This Spot and the hosts are far and above.
One of our favorite spots. Really pretty area and John & Stephanie are so accommodating and easy. We come here a lot and every visit is incredible. If I could come here every day I would. Thanks John and Stephanie!! ❤️
Super awesome. We love wandering in the woods and taking breaks at the creek. Just a really relaxing peaceful place and we love being here any chance we get.
I’m Kate and I’m also a Sniffspot host out in Tacoma. I’m blown away by both John’s and Stephanie’s warm welcome. They made me and my mom feel very welcomed, orienting us where to go and explore. I cannot recommend this place enough for those looking for a little adventure out in the woods with their pup. This top spot is a gem. Beautiful, beautiful place. The photos you see do not do justice. Come and experience the magic of this place yourself. My dogs; 9 mos old St Berdoodle and 9 weeks old Newfypoo had a blast. We booked for 1.5 hours but had to leave a little early for my pup’s vet appointment. I Will book again in the near future. 🐾🐶❤️
A great spot! Totally different in fall vs summer, lots of new nature for the dogs to explore with the new season. There is a rear entrance which is super useful for dogs that might not be trusted around farm animals
We were warmly welcomed and lead to the sniff spot area. We have a dog who is afraid of people she doesn’t know and our hosts were very understanding. The property is magical with many bridges over the creek that are beautiful and look like they were made by faeries. The trails lined by moss covered logs. And the gurgling of the creek was relaxing. We were encouraged to sit on the covered porch of the empty cabin in the woods, especially if it started to rain. Our dog and my daughter could not have had a better time.
Our favorite sniff spot! It’s alwa
We come here often and always book 2 hours. The time flies by and we have so much fun. There are loads of smells and lots of woodsy trails to explore. The creek is a huge bonus and the water is fresh and clean. One of our most favorite spots. Thanks John and Stephanie!
We love it here so much. Between the trails and creek there is so much to explore. Such a charming little farm and so peaceful. Amazing rain or shine. ❤️
Great spot. We have visited before, but brought a friend this time. John is extremely welcoming and the property is lovely. It was wet with the recent rain, but other than a small water crossing you were able to stay pretty clean and dry.
Beautiful spot with wooded trails, creeks and grassy areas. Hosts are really great too - so warm and welcoming.
Highly recommended spot, especially for reactive dogs! A private area with lots of room to run and explore.
It was pouring down rain but we still enjoyed our walk through the woods. Be sure to wear boots this time of year and it’s important to be careful on the wooden bridges as they are slippery. Recommend using one of the large branches as a walking stick. Highly recommend this spot for a great workout for human and canine alike!
Dogs and humans all enjoyed our visit to Fiveash Farm including a meet and greet with a goat and splashing in the creek. Hosts are friendly and helpful and provided us with a tour around the property. Very picturesque with room to run and explore and some great spots for taking pictures.
For the best experience wear boots, some spots are a little muddy and the bridges can be slippery. We will definitely return for another visit!
Great spot! ♥ Lots to explore and we always have loads and loads of fun here. :-)
Awesome spot with lots of cool trails, a creek and open grassy areas. Secluded, private and peaceful. We really love it here and come often. Thanks John & Stephanie!! ♥
Beautiful property! I think I missed that the entrance to the Sniffspot area was directly through a pasture with animals in it (goats, chickens, cows) - so my reactive pups kind of lost their minds trying to say hello to the very friendly goats! John however was very accomodating and understood, and offered alternative ways to enter the sniffspot area next time to avoid the excitement.
Awesome trails and lots of space for running and playing. My kid loves alternating hiking and splashing in the creek and our 2 hours always goes by so quickly. One of our absolute favorite Sniffspots! ♥
Another five star experience! Recommend that you wear boots this time of the year as there are muddy spots in some of the trails.
Great experience as always. Highly recommend!
Really spectacular Sniffspot. We have been here many times and it's always awesome. John & Stephanie are such wonderful people and always make us feel right at home. The trails are so much fun to explore and the creek is a huge bonus for pups that love water or just need a quick drink. A beautiful setting, very peaceful and we feel totally safe here so can thoroughly enjoy our time without a care in the world. If I could give this place 10 stars, I would! ♥
The mushrooms were definitely popping yesterday! Charlie missed his favorite place. Always a pleasure to see you both. Can’t wait to be back again.
Second time and wow, it didn't disappoint. Best hosts! They are so kind and they let me feed the goats and chickens, so fun. Hoot loves running all the trails and through the creeks and sleeps for hours after.
Great Sniffspot! Variety of terrain provides endless entertainment for canines and Homo sapiens alike. We have been to several Sniffspots and while they all have been wonderful, this is still our favorite. Highly recommend it!
Fantastic place to take the dog! Very friendly environment and everything your pup would need for activities!
Wow what a great day. First the hosts are super, they met us on the drive in and walked us through the pasture, past the goats, chickens and cows to the trail area. The property is so fun, bridges over creeks, trails up, down and around. Our puppy had the best time, and therefore so did we.
Great Sniffspot - all the features you could want for your doggo including a creek, wooded trails, and flat grassy areas. We visit several times a month. Highly recommend to others for reactive dogs and all other types.
Simply amazing! I had missed my first booking and John was really kind about that. :) Their friend Alex showed us around when we arrived and was a great host. My nervous dog balked at the cattle on the way in and the sweet goats on the way out. She's a mess. But! She made it through and once we got through the paddock gates, she was in heaven! So many trails to wander and creeks to splash in. My old dog loved it too.
I brought a friend and we spent a good chunk of time happily sitting on a cute bench under some beautiful trees. She had a great time and I couldn't be more grateful for a place like this! Thank you!
Alex was such a gracious and warm host standing in for John and Stephanie - thank you! The dogs were in heaven between the sun dappled pastures, the creek, mud puddles and tiny bridges. And what a relief to see the poo composter at the exit to make some deposits vs carrying it back in the car. (Bring compostable dog poop bags!) We had the perfect excursion, ending with eating our sandwiches in the lower pasture while the pups dried off in the sun before the drive home.
Always a great spot!! My past reviews say it all!!
Such friend host! Very welcoming and amazing property. Lots of trails, water and smells to explore. A fun private oasis for your dogs to explore an adorable steers. You won’t be disappointed.
We had another great time! It had rained for a couple days but was beautiful when we arrived. The creek was already quite a bit higher which made it all the more fun for Jasper to splash around in. Thanks again Stephanie and John for providing such a great Sniffspot.
Super awesome Sniffspot!! Our favorite. We just love hiking around in the woods....so pretty and peaceful. The creek is a huge bonus. Cooper loves splashing around between hikes and the water is clean & safe. Really love it here and always have an incredible time.
I was able to go but my dog walker made the appointment. As usual, it was a great experience for her and the pup and she said it was a beautiful day. The hosts are always so nice and friendly. I hope to book as many visits as possible through the fall and winter. I will always be a repeat customer to this awesome "Sniff Spot". Beautiful and a perfect place for my boys! Thank you.
We have been to Spring Acres several times now and we absolutely love it! To begin with, the hosts, John and Stephanie are really warm and welcoming and they are there to greet us each time. John walks us through the pasture past their livestock and because I have a reactive dog, I was really worried about it at first. However, it went very well and it gets easier each time. The area past the pasture includes a grassy area by a creek - a great place to play fetch and romp in the water. Past the creek is several acres of wooded trails which are a blast to explore with your pooch at your side (or in my case, he’s way down the trail in front of me!) It seems like we find a new trail each time too. The trails are nicely maintained but are quite hilly and do have some muddy spots. Be prepared with good walking shoes and to get a good workout. Even though the area isn’t fully fenced most of the property has natural borders like blackberries and other underbrush that keep the property well contained. The property is completely private too and there is no risk of running into other people or dogs so it is a perfect place to exercise a reactive dog. I am so grateful we found this place - now I don’t have to worry about getting my dog enough exercise and stimulation. Overall, a great Sniffspot for a reactive pooch (or any pooch for that matter.)
Super fun Sniffspot! Really pretty woods, a creek and grassy fields. We have been here many times and it's always amazing. Such a peaceful and beautiful setting with lots to explore. Thanks John & Stephanie! ♥
Amazing Sniffspot....lots of trails, grassy fields and a creek! We come here a lot and every visit is incredible. Thanks John & Stephanie!! ♥
Our favorite spot!!! ♥
Great spot. We loved all the little trails and the signs and bridges are so cute. The whole property is very well maintained and the hosts were there to greet me and give me a tour when I arrived. A sign on the road made it very easy to find as well.
Don’t pass up this Sniffspot!
Our dogs had the time of their lives, running through the creek and woods, wrestling and doing “zoomies” in the open fields, and resting at the seating areas conveniently found around the several acres (ok, maybe the resting was more for the people!). It was a very warm day, but it was so comfortable wandering through the wooded areas and playing in the water. John and Stephanie were so nice and welcoming. Since it was our first time there, John showed us all around the areas where the dogs could roam and assured us that we wouldn’t get lost (and he was right!). Be sure to wear sturdy shoes to climb up wooded, hilly pathways and maybe bring a walking stick if you aren’t so sure-footed. We will be coming back to this Sniffspot!
This was my second trip there and I already have a 3rd planned. The owners of this property are so nice and friendly and honestly will do everything the can to make your visit enjoying. I was still amazed at this place with the well maintained trails. We even discovered a couple new ones. It actually looks like the owners may be working on a couple more just to make the adventure more interesting for the pups to explore.
Having a couple open fields make it great for you to play with your dogs, or in my case since they are older dogs I can run with them back and forth to get their (and my) exercise. Didn't bring a toy? .....believe me...the one pup had no problem finding sticks that you can toss around and even into the creek for a "splash through the creek when they retrieve it. The creeks are awesome little spots throughout where the dogs can dip in and get a nice cool drink.
The owners have made a great little bench that can fold down to alittle picnic table if you wanted to have a nice little picnic as well. There is shaded and sunny areas. You have the place to yourself with no other dogs or people around. The drive out to this nice farm is beautiful as well.
You just can't go wrong with this place, and I can't wait to go back. Its a wonderful experience for both you and your pets.
Thank you owners Stephanie and John!!
This is nearly the perfect Sniff Spot for what my dogs enjoy! There is a large grassy area when you first enter the Sniff Spot which is partially shaded and level allowing for the pups to chase their ball or just relax in the soft grass. From the grassy area, you'll cross a bridge over a creek where the dogs enjoyed splashing around and cooling down on a hot day. Beyond that, there are numerous well maintained trails leading through the forested area and back down to another creek area. The area is not entirely fenced so you'll want to keep an eye on your dogs. We all got a lot of exercise from running up the trails and appreciated that there were several spots where we could just sit and relax when we needed a break. John and Stephanie were such wonderful hosts and welcomed us as friends. We drove over an hour from Seattle to get there but it was well worth the drive and will definitely plan on coming back here. I advise good footwear that you won't mind getting wet.
We love it here!! Really pretty, peaceful setting with trails a creek and plenty of open grassy areas. Our favorite Sniffspot. ♥
After searching for areas close to my home I decided to take a shot at this place even though its not "in the neighborhood". I'm sure glad I did and the drive there was as beautiful as the place itself. I can't imagine a better place for my boys to go. It has everything. So much property for them to explore with woods, fields and streams. The owners has a done a beautiful job of maintaining this and making it a wonderful spot for your pets as well as for the pet owner. Nice maintained paths and wooden bridges to go over all the little streams. One stream large enough for your pet to splash through. The owners have even placed seating throughout the area. This whole area was beautiful and peaceful and the pets just loved exploring. If you have spare time....book a couple hours and pack a picnic...its that great. The hosts are very nice, helpful, and attentive. I'm going to try my best to make this a weekly outing for me and my boys. Book it, you won't regret it!!
We always have a fabulous time here. My pups love to splash in the creek and chase each other up and down the trails. 😊
Incredible Sniffspot. This is such a sweet little farm and we really love it here. We come here often and book 2 hours minimum. Trails, a creek and plenty of grassy areas to explore. There is loads to do and we always leave so happy and refreshed. Thanks John & Stephanie!!! ♥
This is such a cool spot. Sooo pretty with lots to explore. Really enjoy wandering the trails....I can totally unwind in the peacefulness of the woods while Cooper is running amuck finding new paths. The creek is a real bonus in warm weather....clean, clear water and just the right size for an occasional dip. John & Stephanie are the kindest, sweetest hosts imaginable and we always feel so welcome. One of our most regular stomping grounds, we just love love love it here. ♥
Charlie missed sniffing the goats and swimming in the river! See you guys again very soon!
Great place to bring your dog! Our 2 dogs loved it, especially the woods and the creek. They had a great time and came home exhausted. We hope to go back.
Always a pleasure to visit! Riley spent most of his time in the river then to roll in the grassy field which was perfect on our sunny warm day.
Another fun adventure and tired dogs as a bonus.
Oh my gosh, this place is awesome!!! Such a beautiful farm and so many things to explore. John and/or Stephanie will greet you and walk you through the pasture which is a super cute collection of happy animals. The first few times we were here I was so nervous about Cooper's reaction to the animals but he's all but oblivious to them. I never get over how easily he strolls through and it's been really good for him. He's honestly become a different dog over the last year of exposure to different animals and is now even making doggy friends. We owe much of that to this place specifically. Once you get across the pasture, you'll go through a gate to the Sniffspot. The first section is a grassy area with a creek running through it. There are some chairs for the humans and, if you have compostable poop bags, there is an underground poop compost. Cooper usually runs around here and splashes around in the creek for awhile and then we cross the bridge to the woods. John and Stephanie are always working on the Sniffspot and it seems we find something new every visit. New signs or sometimes even a whole new trail. We love wandering around here and hiking the trails. Cooper knows when there's something different right away and gets super excited to show me his new discovery. Really lovely spot. We always reserve 2 hours and it's barely enough. In the car on the way home we are already anxious for our next trip back. Thank you so much John & Stephanie...you guys are the best. ♥
Our favorite Sniffspot. I mean this place is just the greatest. The whole experience is always amazing and we leave so happy and relaxed. John & Stephanie are the super sweetest folks ever and they make us feel so incredibly welcome, really such a pleasure. ♥ The trails are incredible and the creek is such a bonus...we always reserve 2 hours and time flies by.. Cooper has the time of his life here and mama does too. Thanks so much John & Stephanie!!! ♥ ♥ ♥
Gracious hospitality and an amazing beautiful property with trails through woods, creek for water games, and grass area for ball chasing.
Love the hosts, the animals, trails, and especially the creek! It is such a great spot for our pup to swim safely. She loves to explore all the trails and then we always finish with a good, stick fetching session in the creek. Wish we could go every day!
Despite our two dogs being very energetic and predatory towards the goats and chickens, John and Stephanie were understanding and welcoming. John toured us through his property so we knew the lay of the land and of we went. Our two dogs loved, loved, loved their time as did my husband and I. So worth the (very pretty) drive and the money. Thank you again, John and Stephanie, for opening your property to us and others! We will be back!
I will give these lovely folks 5 stars every time we go. My pups love to run through the woods here and splash in the creek. John and Stephanie are the nicest folks and are always improving the property.
♥ Love it here!! This place is such a treasure. There is so much to do and explore.....Cooper loves splashing around in the creek and it seems we are always discovering a new trail. So peaceful and the whole place has such a sweet, joyful energy. Always an incredible, fun filled adventure and we can't wait for our next visit! ♥
This is an amazing Sniffspot. The property is beautiful, well maintained with lots of trails that are clearly marked. John and Stephanie are welcoming and helpful. The dogs and all the family members enjoy going there and we have been doing this weekly now since the end of June.
Another spectacular visit to Five Acres! Such a pretty place to spend the day whether its raining or sunny. Lots of woodsy trails and a creek for the pups to splash around in. John & Stephanie are always so welcoming and we always feel right at home. A really peaceful, fun spot and we love it here! Thank you guys!! ♥
A beautiful open spot along with lovely grown trails. The running creek was both our Aussie’s and our favorite. The farm animals were an added perk for our viewing pleasure. Hosts were very kind, informative and friendly.
take a pretty drive to this gorgeous property. you’ll be greeted by the kind and gracious john and stephanie who will guide you through the pasture where your dog can see chickens, goats, and scottish highland cows. across the creek you and your dog can run and climb winding trails through trees and forest vegetation. put your feet in the cool clear water, breathe in the clean air, and enjoy the joyful exuberance your dog displays. this may have been my newly adopted puppy aila’s best day ever. i felt my stress and anxiety melt away. i could not recommend this excursion highly enough.
Such a fun spot and definitely one of our favorites. ♥ John & Stephanie are such incredible hosts and so sweet...it's always such a pleasure chatting with them, a really nice couple of people. The Sniffspot itself is sooo pretty and so much to explore....we keep finding new things every time we come here. I love wandering the trails and relaxing in the peace & quiet and Cooper has a blast splashing around in the creek. The drive is really pretty too. Always a great time and we love it here. Thanks John & Stephanie!! ♥
It was as great of an experience as our first visit.
Monroe had a great first visit at Spring Acres!! We hiked all the trails, played fetch with sticks in the creek and the big grassy field! John kindly welcomed us and walked us through the pasture with bunnies, cattle, chicken and a few goats, up to the little cabin explaining where all we could go. We will definitely return and may bring some friends next time!!
This is our second visit to Spring Acre’s at Fiveash Farm. Similar to our first visit, the hosts greeted us warmly. They showed us through their pasture that includes cattle, goats, and chickens (I believe they have an alternative entrance upon request). Once safely outside of the pasture, it was off-leash exploring! This place is a DREAM for those that enjoy hiking with their pups, but have reservations about seeing other dogs along the way. It was nice being able to enjoy the crafted trails, while letting the pup sniff and explore at her pace and desire. Once into the woods, it feels almost entirely secluded from the world (some spots you can see the farm, and others hear traffic noise from the road). For being a private hike though, I would choose it every time over say... Rattlesnake Ledge. Even more exciting, once the pup was safely back in our car, the hosts gave us an up close meet and greet with their Scottish Highland cows! They’re such beautiful, and docile animals!! I am so very grateful the host have offered to share their space! I can’t wait to go back!!
One of our absolute best favorite Sniffspots. John & Stephanie are the most welcoming hosts you can imagine and we are always so happy to be here. The first time we came I was worried about Cooper getting through the pasture but now it's part of our fun...the animals are all so sweet and Cooper seems to really like them. The property is gorgeous....loads of really cool trails and a creek to splash around in. We always book 2 hours minimum. Thanks John & Stephanie! ♥
We had an amazing first trip to Fiveash Farm! John walked us through the pasture (on leash) so my pups wouldn't be tempted to chase chickens or bunnies or goats LOL. Once on the other side my fur babies had the time of their lives running through the woods, splashing in the creek and sniffing all the wild smells. Fantastic hosts, fantastic spot, tired pups passed out now! 😊
Great spot. Tons of room to roam and several trails. Takes about 2 hours to walk/hike all the trails. Some areas get extremely muddy, especially along blacktail trail so that's something to be aware of. Walking sticks provided.
Host is very kind and his animals are well behaved but if you're not 100% sure your dog is goat friendly make sure you request the back entrance, the goats are nosy. Unfortunately I learned that the hard way with one of mine but no one was hurt and thankfully the host was understanding. Like others have said the walk through the pasture is guided and on-leash. A biodegradeable poo bag drop off is available near the entrance gate. I'd highly recommend it especially for more energetic and agile dogs
We love it here!! The farm itself is just adorable....the animals are so precious milling around all together in the same pasture, happy as can be and Stephanie & John are just such kind, welcoming hosts. It's a really fun time from the moment we get here until the very last second before we leave. The Sniffspot itself is so pretty with loads of trails to explore, a creek to splash around in and lots of cool sights to take in. We love it here, rain or shine. ♥
As it was our first time at Spring Acre’s at Fiveash Farm, John came out to meet us. John was a wonderful host, advising where we could go with the dogs. He let us know what animals of his would be in or near the field that we would have to cross to get to the Sniffspot. He took us to the cabin where we could hang out on the deck especially since it was raining. Lots of trails to explore. Of course our Husky made her own trails. Our lab mix absolutely loved the creek. This place was everything we were hoping it would be.
Wonderful hosts! So much fun to explore. Trails were well-maintained and cared for. We had fun even though it was pouring rain.
This is truly an enchanting place! Easy directions and signage from the road. John welcomed us warmly and guided us through his magical farm. We had to keep Dottie leashed during the walkthrough as there were so many wonderful animals on the way, including two incredible Scottish highland cows!! Once through to the pasture it felt like we had an entire state park to ourselves. No other animals in sight. Lots of trails, bridges, and a gorgeous creek!
Extra hospitality points as John gave us a tour of his workshop and shared with us stories from his world travels. Can’t wait for him to finish the cabin, as would love to return and spend a night there.
Really incredible place. We have been here several times and every visit is amazing. Beautiful farm and John & Stephanie are just the sweetest, most welcoming hosts ever. Cooper just loves splashing around in the creek and exploring all the trails. We feel completely secure here and always have a blast. Thank you John & Stephanie!!!! ♥♥♥
My dogs had such a fun time exploring this sniff spot with the trails and the stream we had a great time. We will definitely be back!
This is the most beautiful Sniffspot! John showed us the property and it's just a dream-- tons of tiny trails, creeks, a hidden cabin in the middle of it all, and so much to smell and explore for a dog! If your dog isn't great at recall, you'll get a workout chasing them around, but even when Rey was out of sight, she always ran back to check on me. This is huge and technically unfenced, so do be aware of that, but we didn't have a problem. John and Stephanie were super friendly and we introduced Rey to the goats, who confounded and intrigued her. I'll be back with my whole family next time!
We had a really good time here. The trails are good and there were plenty of things for my dog to sniff around. Having a creek that runs through the property is a bonus. Definitely will come back. It is a great place for reactive dogs like mine.
Always such a great experience!
We love our time at Spring Acres. The hosts, the friendly farm animals, the stream, the meadow, and the winding trails through the woods make it one of our favorite places.
Visited this farm as our very first Sniff Spot this weekend - and it’s goin to be a tough act to follow! Beautiful property, friendly hosts, lots of open and wooded spaces, and even charming farm animals. My dogs had a blast. Our pup hadn’t yet had any opportunities to explore big open spaces, winding trails, and spring creeks off leash - and she thoroughly exhausted herself. We’ll definitely be back, and probably book two hours next time!
George had a blast, as always! The creek is so great, he loves playing fetch and running around the trails. But swimming is his favorite.
Incredible! One of our absolute favorite Sniffspots. John and Stephanie are the sweetest and the whole experience is always amazing. Every visit is medicine for the soul. I leave feeling refreshed and relaxed and Cooper is thoroughly satisfied and happy. Even though there are some unfenced areas, we feel completely secure here. Really beautiful, lovely place and we are so grateful for every moment we can be here. ♥
Such a fun sniffspot !
John an Stephanie’s place never gets old!
Seriously seriously nicest hosts ever - I’ve come out a few times w my pups and my shy kiddo and John is always making us feel welcome. Today he offered to have my son help feed the chickens! A truly relaxing place for my city dogs to unwind be wild animals for a couple hours. We love this spot!
This place is amazing. We've been here a number of times and every visit is incredible. The Sniffspot is so beautiful and John & Stephanie are two of the kindest, sweetest people you could ever hope to meet. Honestly, it's worth going to just to chat with them. And I get such a kick out of walking through the pasture! The farm animals are so cute and my reactive boy Cooper is completely at peace strolling past them all which is totally bizarre and I just love it. There is definitely some magic in this place and it's a really special experience. The Sniffspot itself is separated from the pasture by secure fencing. As soon as we get through the gate Cooper runs to the creek and splashes around then we head back to the trails. I just love the peace and quiet and beautiful woods. Cooper has the time of his life rolling in the grass, racing around exploring and playing in the creeks. We both leave here happy and refreshed and Cooper sleeps like a baby after he gets a bath. Definitely one of our favorite places on earth. ♥
Our pup loves this places, it's the best of everything!! Lots of space, things to sniff, trails to run like a maniac on and water to swim and and clean off in. The hosts are super friendly and nice and you can tell they put a lot of thought and time into the area. The trails are easy to follow, maintained and it reminds me of a magical fairy land. Love it! Two thumbs up for me and two paws up from George!
A quiet spring day.
The porch is great for meditation, and the creek for muddy paws
Lots to sniff
We had an amazing experience here! It was serene, beautiful, and really fun! We had a blast exploring the trails, letting our dog play in the creek, and chase the ball. We enjoyed being outside on this beautiful property and there was tons of room for our dog to sprint around. She had so much fun! John, the host, was so welcoming and showed us around when we arrived. We got to see all of the amazing animals on the property too. We booked two hours and I would recommend booking at least that because there’s so much to see. We hope to visit this spot again and would highly recommend!
Seriously the nicest hosts ever. This was our second time back and my dogs and 3.5 year old son had another fun filled adventure! There’s so much to explore and it feels like a little vacation. Definitely wear your boots and get ready to play in the mud - it’s pretty avoidable and definitely not all over the property but it’s just more fun to get a little dirty with the pups! We packed a light lunch and sat in the grass after exploring the trails and then romped in the creek before heading home. Can’t wait to go back again!
I could not love this spot more! It is an outing for us as much as our pup. Maisy would swim in the creek there the whole time if we let her, but I love exploring all of the trails. It is truly a slice of heaven and the hosts are awesome!
Such a beautiful location with a wonderfully gracious host. I was delighted (!!) by the other animals we walked by to enter a fenced-off area that then expanded to well-kept trails, running creeks, and fresh green natural forest growth all around. Wait until you get there, there are more moments of wonder and delight that will you want to stay longer.
Oh my gosh, dog heaven. Beautiful little farm with acres of forest behind it. John, the owner, was super nice. He met us and walked us through the pasture (my dogs did not react to the cattle or chickens), and up the hill. Lots of trails and little creeks. The paths are clear and maintained. There are several off shoot trails to explore and bridges across creeks. The dogs loved it. They ran and explored and had the best time. Can't wait to return.
I kinda don’t want to say how awesome John and Stephanie’s acreage is so it doesn’t become overrun with happy doggies. It is a beautiful place with lots of farm animals and enough nature to occupy any pup or young kids for a few hours. I took my two young kids (5 and 8) with our young energetic lab, Charlie. We explored trails and the kids waded into the stream. Charlie was in heaven! He jumped and swam and attempted to play with a few of the goats. I let Charlie off leash after John walked us through the pasture and past a gate so he could be separated from the farm animals. I kept Charlie on the leash when we were back in the general farm area as there were chickens, bunnies and goats. Can’t wait to return!
Our golden retriever (and my teenage boys) absolutely loved this property. Maisy loved wandering the trails, rolling in the grass, and swimming in the creek. She did not mind the farm animals in the pastures at all, and we felt very safe with her off leash once we crossed their pasture. We loved it and the hosts were very friendly. Thank you so much!
One of our happy places! Wonderful hosts and we love the farm animals too. The dogs are in heaven there. Hosts will shepherd you through the animals, but not ideal for dogs with high prey drive towards chickens, goats, cattle. Also should have a reasonably good recall or dogs who stay nearby to you- located in a rural area with lightly trafficked roads, but not fully fenced.
beautiful spot. lots of space for the dogs to explore. we very much enjoyed our time here!
Sniff spot was easy to find, host was very pleasant and let me borrow a raincoat as I was unprepared for the rain. Had to walk through a pasture to get to the sniff spot, as mentioned, it was raining so pasture was pretty muddy. The sniff spot had a nice mix of grass and woods, the trails were fun for the dogs but there were some wooden bridges that were very slippery when wet. In general you could avoid the bridges and walk around them through small creeks. My Doberman is pretty agile and was fine, but my Great Dane slipped and fell a couple times and I was worried about him getting hurt. I would totally go again when it wasn't raining buckets or I would leave my Dane at home if it was wet.
Spring Acre’s is such an amazingly beautiful slice of heaven. Lots of trails to explore and a creek that Norman enjoyed taking a dip in. Hosts John and Stephanie were wonderful and very helpful in explaining the layout and getting us started. We arrived a bit early, which I felt bad about, but they were very gracious and understanding.
Norman ( my dog ) can be a bit reactive when excited but was not bothered at all by any of the farm animals. He barked more when he was leaving! I think he could have stayed all day honestly. There is a cute cabin the Hosts are building tucked away on the property and it has a porch that was available to us to sit and just enjoy the beauty that surrounded us. There is also a very cute sitting area right next to the creek as well. Norman loved chasing sticks and playing in the water.
I highly recommend Spring Acres and look forward to many more visits.
Thank you for opening up your property for folks like us and our dogs.
Lovely hosts and interesting farm animals to see. Easy to find and easy to park. The private woods park is a network of connecting woods trails, mostly on a gentle slope. There are a couple of clearings as well as little and big streams. Not fully fenced, so you will want a decent recall, but no other people or dogs around and far from the road. Normal inherent natural woods hazards (uneven ground, etc) for dogs who go off trail and some of the many wooden bridges could be a little slippery for running dogs. We had a wonderful romp and look forward to returning and exploring the park in different seasons. Great opportunity for the dogs to play in a natural wooded area without worries about encounters with other people or dogs.
This spot was awesome for us! Sign out front, good parking. Owners are great and show you around the property upon arrival. There are other farm animals at the property, most ignore you completely, goats are curious but very friendly. Once your pup is allowed off leash they cannot access the farm animals. Trails to follow are well marked, a lot of small loops to follow!! Covered area to sit if you want. This is a big piece of property! So much exploring. This time of year it was muddy so bring boots and a towel for the pup if you really want to explore the whole property. There are also 2 areas that are rather flat for ball throwing etc if that is more your thing! We will definitely be back, if you and your pup like to explore through the trees this is a great spot!!
This place is the best! It has some trails for running, water for splashing, an grassy area for fetch, some wooden bridges and best of all a cabin to hide on the deck if it rains. Riley ran around like a lunatic and Buddy was able to sniff until his heart was content. There is something for everyone! The hosts are super nice and generous and great communicators. There are some very calm farm animals - cows, goats, chicken, bunnies and a peacock to be aware that you will need to pass. They won't bother you though.
This is our 3rd time here. We are head over heels in love with Spring Acres. I'm not sure how, but every visit is better than the one before. You couldn't ask for more welcoming, kind hosts as John & Stephanie...they are such good people. And I just can't get over how Cooper strolls through all the animals in the pasture....it's bizarre to see my reactive dog so completely at peace...I just love it, makes me so happy. 😊 This time it was rainy and we had the best time hiking around and discovering new trails. Cooper loves splashing around in the creek, racing around like a nut and rolling around in the grass and I love the fresh air and peace & quiet. It's nice roaming around without the worry of encountering other dogs and I am totally relaxed here. Super awesome amazing Sniffspot! Can't wait to be back!
What a gorgeous place to let your dog run and play!!! This property offers a beautiful running river, areas where you can toss a ball as well as hiking trails that gradually incline up hill. Within the trails of the property is a cabin where you can relax in the chairs and enjoy the scenary. There are also chairs along the river to sit while your dog enjoys the water. The owner John walks you through the area where the farm animals are grazing into a gated area where you can then let your dog off-leash.
John was gracious, hospitible and kind offering to allow us to stay longer if we would like because I had inadvertently mapped the wrong address and arrived a bit later than our start time. He also offered delicious vegetables from his beautiful garden!!
I would highly recommend this place for your dog! Our dog was sooooo happy to run around freely but especially loved the river!
WOW! I think this is my favorite spot so far. John and Stephanie are excellent hosts , giving great directions and information about the property. They have some beautiful farm animals that we had to walk thru but John walked us thru and we kept the pups on the leash, it was fine. In fact our dogs weren’t reactive with John at all as we walked with him. Go figure... It is so beautiful with great well marked trails and a creek running thru it for the pups to play in and chairs set up for you to just take it all in. Up on the top trails is a cabin being built with a great deck to relax on. Next time we will bring a picnic and do 2 hours! We hated leaving. Upon leaving John gave us some fresh vegetables from their garden and fresh applesauce Stephanie had just made. We will definitely be back! Highly recommend.
We enjoyed this SniffSpot so much! Behind the farm includes an expansive trail system with many creek crossings, some wide enough for the pup to swim in! It felt as though we were on our own private hike! A ways up the trail is a cabin built by the the host, a perfect place to sit on the deck and cool off. The host was wonderful explaining the layout to us.
Do note- there is more than one entrance to the forested trail area. The SniffSpot directions take you to the main gate/house. We were greeted with the host dogs running toward the fence, which got my dog (still in the car) overly excited. The host was very responsive to my concern and placed his dogs inside. We crossed through the pasture with the cows, chickens, and goats without problem. However! If you have a sensitive dog to dogs/livestock *please* let the host know prior to entry! It is possible to meet at the other entrance to the trail system and avoid crossing the pasture with animals. The host obviously loves animals, is responsive and kind to let us use their space. We will definitely book this again
Oh my gosh, this place is Heaven on Earth. John & Stephanie are two of the nicest people I've ever come across and their farm is magical. They were nice enough to keep their dogs in the house for our arrival and departure and, even though we could hear the dogs in the house, Cooper was totally relaxed. Directions are straightforward and there is a Sniffspot sign on the gate so the property is super easy to find. John came out to meet us when we got there, told us where to park and Stephanie came out to say hello...then John took us through the gate to the Sniffspot. My usually reactive boy, Cooper, strolled happily through the pasture past a goat, a bunch of chickens, bunnies and 2 massive steer, all just within feet of us...he was completely unphased by all of it, not even one bark! The animals are all so sweet and happy and all throughout the farm there is such a peaceful energy...Cooper was immediately relaxed. As soon as we got to the other side, I let Cooper off his leash and he went crazy, romping, sniffing and running while John walked us around, giving me the lay of the land. He was so welcoming and spent lots of time showing us all the trails and some of the cool sights. We were so busy chatting that I forgot to pay attention so walked back down toward the pasture with him to make sure I knew how to get back. Turns out it's super easy and pretty near impossible to get lost. Once we were by ourselves, Cooper and I just hiked all over, explored all the trails and Cooper had loads of fun splashing around in the creek. Mostly shallow water but we found a couple spots deep enough for him to swim briefly. He was a dirty, wet boy by the time we left...and soooooo happy. We were there for 2 hours and I think it was the perfect amount of time. On a sunnier day, with a picnic, we'd probably make it 3 hours. Really, really lovely place and we are definitely going to be back soon. ❤
This is our 2nd visit and we had so much fun! Hosts John & Stephanie are so welcoming and the farm is beautiful. I'm really surprised how completely relaxed my reactive boy Cooper is walking through all of the animals in the pasture. I worried about it quite a lot but both times he didn't bat an eyelash. This time the chickens and bunnies were running all over and the steer was laying down maybe just 4 or 5 feet from the gate to the Sniffspot. No problems at all, Cooper just strolled past all the critters and the giant steer, happy as can be. Just as our first visit, we again booked 2 hours and I find this is a great amount of time for us. I was surprised to find there are a lot more trails than I realized the first time we were here and some are fairly steep with beautiful moss covered logs bordering the pathways. Super pretty and secluded. We hiked all about, regularly running back to the beginning so Cooper could splash about in the creek. This is such a peaceful place and very calming, a great place to unwind and for your pup to explore. As weather permits, this is definitely going to be one of our regular spots and we can't wait to be back.
We just love it here. We always book 2 hours and that seems to be just enough time for us. If we ever decide to invite a third, I would probably book 3 hours and bring a picnic. There is a creek, trails and plenty of open space for Cooper to romp and explore. The best part of Spring Acre's is John & Stephanie. They are such a kind, welcoming couple and I always feel so comfortable. ♥ I also get a huge kick out of watching my normally reactive boy stroll past all the animals in the pasture...goats, chickens, giant steer and he just trots happily through the pasture, it's hilarious. There is such tranquility here and I love seeing my boy so at peace. Just before this visit there had been days of heavy rain so the creek was really running....John warned me it could be a bit strong in parts so I kept Cooper closer to shore and he had the best time splashing around then running around the trails & rolling around in the grass. He was one very happy, very dirty boy by the time we got back to the car for the ride home. It started raining just before we left and Stephanie ran out with a towel to try to dry Cooper off, it was super sweet. Great time. This will definitely be one of our regular hangouts. ☺
Decided to give this a try since walking on a leash is not my dogs face, and they’re high energy- got the idea from a comment on a local FB community page- and this location overdelivered. Flat space to play frisbee/ball and lots of little trails and low areas for the dogs to explore. The creeks were a huge source of fun. Spent 2 hours here, brought a lunch and it flew by. Chairs and a cabin to sit at too. Great place to social distance and exercise w your dogs!
First time visit and we loved the location. Perfect location to get a pup used to water due to the small creek running through part of the property. There is a couple open areas, one on an incline for fetch and many trails and areas for sniffing and marking. Both my runner and sniffer dogs had a blast, we will be back for sure. Owner was very helpful and inviting.
I will definitely be going back. This spot has it all from water, trails, and open grassy areas! My pup loves being able to play off leash in the creek, and I love not having to worry if another dog would come up.
we loved this sniff spot. it is so beautiful and there is lots of space to explore. my dog was challenged by getting through the pasture with the chickens and rabbits because she wants to chase them very much!- but john walked with us through this area and once on the other side we were in heaven. john is incredibly sweet and attentive and we loved visiting with the goats and cows afterward. such a great afternoon getaway. the only thing that could be better is if we could live there! haha.
We love this spot! Lots of trails to run, field to play fetch, cabin to hide from the rain and the nicest hosts.
Great spot for the adventurous pup! My little guy had a great time exploring this beautiful property and got plenty of excersise and mental stimulation in the process. Mom enjoyed the piece and quiet. John and Stephanie were incredible kind hosts. We look forward to coming back.
We love this place! Lots of room to explore and the nicest hosts!
Great cleared trails, lots to explore, nice bubbling creek
