Off leash is fine as long as your friend has good recall. Our dogs have their own fenced yards up at the houses. Our property borders a riding stable on one side, so you may see horses and riders. Dogs are welcome to swim—bring towels and be prepared for some mud if it’s been raining or you have a pond monster doggy. Woods have wonderful smells, my dogs sometimes find delightful things to roll in. A hose is available for use on warm days. We do have chickens on site and ask you not allow your dog to harass them as you enter and leave (chickens are in a separate fenced area and in a coop/run). My dogs will be in the house—some barking may happen on your arrival but they will not be loose. We have a 2 acre fenced pasture behind the house. The grass may be long, however, will be occasionally cut so shouldn’t be crazy. Your dog and shoes may get muddy after rainy days. Please plan ahead. The fenced area is entered on the right side of the property through swinging gates. Owners of small dogs may want to be careful near the gates as the openings are large enough for small dogs to get through.
