15Terrible and unsafe experience, also treated awfully by the hosts. Firstly, there are huge gaps in the fencing and gate along the main road that my giant breed can very easily walk right through, so contrary to the listing, this place is not adequately fenced safely along the main road. As others have mentioned, we saw another dog, what looked like a stray, in the woods. I contacted the hosts the night before booking and told them I was traveling 1.5 hours with my pup to the spot so he could have a place with safe water flow for cooling down in the extreme heat. When we arrived we utilized the hand drawn ‘map’ in the mailbox, but the map contradicted itself. It said to follow the pink marked trail to the creek. We followed the pink trail on and on but it wasn’t corresponding to the map. I messaged the hosts for help (because of the heat I wanted to beeline to the water). I was very kind and polite and told them I was getting worried because the property is so large, it’s hot, and the map is confusing. When they replied, instead of offering help or direction the host was hostile toward me. Even contradicted herself by saying I should have followed orange flags for shorter route to creek instead of pink (see pics of her messages and the map that says follow pink flags). I even told the host I wasn’t being attacking toward them, I was politely asking for help. But even then, they just kept being nasty. So in the time it could have taken her to just clarify the map and help my dog reach water, she instead belittled me, saying ‘you’re the only soul out of the last 10 ppl who couldn’t find the creek’ among a handful of other rude things, going on and on putting me down like I’m an inconvenience, instead of helping and just pointing me in the right direction. Up to that point, I was very kindly asking PLEASE for help. So I realized I needed to get my dog out of there because they were mean and at that point I felt very uncomfortable being on their property. I asked for a refund as we were there only 30 minutes, and they told me they would not refund because they were watching me on their trail cameras while I was on the paths and that proves I used the spot so they’re not going to refund. So, if you’re watching me on the trail cameras, and you see that I’m lost at the same time while messaging and asking for help; why did they choose to make fun of me and be unkind instead of being gracious to a first-timer on their property? These hosts don’t care about the safety or happiness of your dog; their place is listed to make money and nothing more. I’m sure plenty of folks have had a good experience but it’s completely lost on me how anyone could treat another person this way for kindly asking for help. It was pretty confusing and unsettling the way they treated me while there. Elisha R.

PARK BY THE BLUE BUILDING.🙂 Fully fenced in Pasture and property with horse fencing and wire fencing for saftey, trail for running, trails go to the large creek with heaps of swimming spots. Wooded areas for walking and exploring. Cameras are on site for safety. Lite area at night. Also great star viewing area. Agility equipment area. I am also on Facebook for contact as well. Shadow HillHomestead and Dog B&B. Very quiet and peaceful area. You MUST PICK UP AFTER YOUR DOG PLEASE!!!! Please close GATE!!!

Just give me a heads up please Please let me know your coming. Please be cautious of the turn in the road coming from the Moore county side it's quite a dangerous turn slow down. 🙂
