Description
The off-leash dog area is for dogs and their handlers. No other use is permitted (including skateboard, bicycles, scooters and rollerblades). To create a positive experience for you and your dog, make sure your dog knows how to appropriately socialize with other dogs before using the park. Dogs that exhibit aggressive behavior are not allowed in the park. Dogs must be removed immediately from the off-leash dog area at the first sign of aggression. Handlers are responsible for any injuries caused by dog(s) under their control. Park users and dog owners assume all risk related to this use of the dog park. LSPR shall not be liable for any injury or damage caused by dogs or handlers in the off-leash area. All animal to human bites must be reported to the City of Lee's Summit Animal Control Department immediately. City of Lee's Summit Ordinance # 5.53. All users of the park shall obtain and display a City of Lee's Summit dog license. Dog license and vaccination tag shall be on a collar or harness. City of Lee's Summit Ordinance # 5.82. No dogs under 4 months of age are allowed. All dogs visiting the park must be spayed or neutered. Female dogs in heat and dogs with fresh wounds are not allowed in the Park. Dogs must be under voice control of their handler and in view of their handler at all times. Dogs must be on leash, a maximum length of 6 ft., when entering and exiting the off-leash dog area. No dogs are allowed within the off-leash area while restrained by a leash. Spiked collars are not allowed. Children under the age of 5 are not allowed in the off-leash area. Children between ages 5-8 must be accompanied by an adult. Handlers must be a minimum of 16 years old. Handlers must have possession of the dog leash at all times. Only two dogs are allowed per handler. Handlers must \"scoop the poop\" and dispose of waste in designated park provided container. Handlers must repair all holes and damage done by their dog under their control. No animals other than dogs shall be permitted in the area. Park Hours of Operation 6 AM to Sunset or 9 PM whichever occurs first.

We have streams beds on both sides of the property, they are the property boundary to the east and north. The rock island trail runs on the south west corner section. Property has access to the trail. Its a beautiful place to have a walk ending with a picnic with your pets. The property isnt fenced in. So your dog must have recall, lease or electric collar for response. Perfect place to train hunting dogs. But please use your own decoys and leave our wild critters live. Very safe place to take your dog for exercise or training. Be kind and pick up after yourself and dogs. Might want to bring tick spray for both you and your dogs.

Nice large, open yard for lots of running around. Quiet setting with frequent deer sightings. We have hummingbird and bird feeders that are much visited. We have native plants that attract many butterflies. There is a kiddie pool for the dogs to splash in, seasonally. There are multiple seating areas for humans in both sunny and shady spots: a glider at the back of the yard by the pool, seating in the garden and ample seating on the large deck with another glider. Please feel free to utilize the deck. We do not enter the sunroom that is up against the deck when guests are here. Enjoy the hammock and saucer swing. The Sniffspot box has everything you need including toys and towels to dry off after a satisfying splash in the pool. We are constantly updating and improving our yard to make it as beautiful and fun as possible.
