Description

Fun little off the beaten path place to run amok. There are tons of little trails off the main logging road that goes around the property. Bring your person with you if you can. If you aren’t all that good at recall, there’s a fun pasture you can chase your friends in. Lots of space to get all that energy out. Just leave your attitude in the car. We just like to have fun here. Thanks. Gary.

Rules for the farm: We have a great space to run amok in, and it's mostly fenced in, but we took down all the barbed wire that was up here when we got here. We usually like to hang out with our new friends, but we understand if there are some personality differences, so let us know. After I meet the person, y'all are free to run amok. We just ask that you do your best to keep an eye on your pup(s). There's a great little trail that goes around the back of the property that I encourage everyone to check out, too! We look forward to meeting you!

Hey there! We're Todd and Gary. Gary is the dog. We live on 20 acres up near Wilkesboro, NC. It's just the two of us, so we like to invite friends (escpecially the dog sort) to enjoy the space with us. I'm a craftsman and Gary is a funny Blue Heeler mix. We're both super friendly.

Located in the foothills, the Slys Peace trail was created for dog stimulation. The trail starts at the lower end of the pasture and follows the creek meandering through a rhododendron forest. Situated at the base of 100 acres of wooded ridge land, the hike offers a wilderness experience customized to your comfort zone. There are multiple trails to accommodate your level of exercise. The full experience will require crossing the creek multiple times and is recommended for those with hiking experience. Trails are easy to follow with multiple exits that lead out to the pasture. This is dog heaven. Let your dog be a dog. To locate the gate entrance watch for the Giant metal horse. His nose points the way. Follow the fenceline a few hundred feet where you will find the gate just before the power line easement. There is now a large Sniff Spot sign securely attached.
