Enjoy a semi-private small residential park in our backyard! We provide a pooper scooper and trash can located by the short shed on the patio. You can also enjoy any of our backyard play equipment for you or anyone else (supervision is required for those not independent on playground equipment). We do want to make our backyard still available for us if we are home and want or need to work on some outdoor projects, if any of our kids want to play outside, or if our dog (Samoyed) or my dad’s dog (mini American Eskimo) need to go outside. We will do our best to leave you guys alone though, kids included, and hopefully the dogs won’t bark too much. Our backyard is a half acre of fully fenced fun! Conveniently located and ample parking. Tons of room to run and sniff! Half of the backyard is grass. The other half is a mix of pollinators and weeds awaiting my picking. It was all buckthorn when we bought the house in 2021 😬 I use natural methods to control weeds by hand picking, cardboard and tarps for smothering patches of weeds as I work on slowly planting the “wild area.” The cardboard is pretty ugly, but it’s very effective in killing invasive weeds. So far I’ve planted more than 150 varieties of perennials 🌻 I haven’t verified that all the plants are dog-safe so please take precautions by preventing your dog from eating the plants. Humans, please try to take care to not trample the perennials in the wild area ❤️
