I’m just a husky and malinois dog mom with a big fenced in backyard, that barely gets used. The backyard is enclosed by an 6-ft wooden fence, and is usually blanketed in soft green grass, with several soft sand spots that dogs love to roll around in. The last freeze took out half of our luscious grass, but we’re working hard to get it back. Chairs/bench-swing and shade for the “hoomans” are made available for use on my back porch, and along the back fence. Bottled water is available for purchase, as well as healthy dog treats. Smoking on the porch is allowed, and there is an ashtray available. There’s also a fire pit in the middle of the yard, that can be made available upon request as well, for late day/evening visits. My husky has grown bored of playing by himself in the yard, so he is rarely back there. Instead, he opts to goto doggy daycare at his favorite grooming place, where he can play with other large dogs like himself. His new little brother (puppy) does the same….. unless a visitor invites them to join in the fun with their pups. Both are very friendly, and well socialized with other dogs/people. When you rent this backyard, there is a doggy fountain watermat, 2 different types of sprinklers and 2 different sized wading pool(s) for your dog to use as well, upon request, to enhance their playtime fun and cool off from the heat. Towels for drying are provided free upon request. We just ask that you hang them on the line after use, so they don’t mold or sour before washing. There’s plenty of seating in the shady porch for the humans to use while their pooch plays in the fountain or pool, and there is also a small variety of dog toys for guests to use during their visit. Cold bottled water, treats and even snacks can be provided for a small fee. For those that bring their own drinks/snacks, there is a small cooler that is available for use during the visit to keep the drinks/snacks cold. And if your dog is friendly with other dogs, and you want them to have a play buddy…. I am more than happy to allow my very socialized/friendly 11-yr old puffy husky dog, Ghost, and/or my sweet 1yr old medium sized Malinois puppy, Rocket; out to play along side yours. That is just an open offer for a play buddy (or 2), should you rent this space. If not, that’s perfectly fine also. We understand that not all pups are friendly, for whatever reason it is. After all, if you rent it, it’s yours for the timeframe purchased, for you and your dog(s). My boys are perfectly fine staying indoors, where it’s cool and have each other to pick on, while you and your pup(s) are out in the yard. Also…. gloves/poo bags are readily available for you to pick up after your pup, so that they don’t run through it and track it into your vehicle. Please pick up after your pups. It will be clean when you arrive, and as such, should be clean when you leave. I take great care in cleaning the yard before/after each booking, just in case a pile accidentally gets overlooked. This way, no pup can get hookworms (or worse) from a visit to our yard. If you’re in the area, or just passing through, and need a private little place to let your dog run, play or train, we’d be happy to to host you and your dog(s). I will try to accommodate any special needs/requests, as long as I am given an appropriate amount to time to fulfill the request/need before your arrival. (I.E…small dog-friendly snack picnic, drinks, pup bday cake for parties, specific toys/treats, etc.) Some special requests may incur a fee, which I will disclose when/if requested. I believe in full disclosure about my space and any additional fees before they’re incurred. We hope to see, meet and/or host you and your fur-baby soon!
