Park rules

Park Rules & Regulations Dogs are welcome in public parks that are not designated as a dog exercise area, but they are to be kept secured by a leash. The leash may be removed from a dog on private property provided that the owner or person in control of such private property has permitted such dog to be present without a leash. For the enjoyment of City residents and their dogs, the following rules apply at the Dog Parks and Exercise Areas: • Unless otherwise posted, dog parks and areas are open from sunrise to sunset. • All dogs must be under their handlers' control. • Only three dogs per handler are allowed. • Dogs must be on leash when entering and exiting the park. Each handler must have a leash in hand at all other times. • No dogs in heat are allowed. • Only dogs four months and older are allowed. • Dogs must be legally licensed, vaccinated, and wearing both current tags. • Handlers must keep their dogs in view at all times. • Any bite occurring to a person or dog must be immediately reported to Alexandria Animal Control. Persons and dogs involved must wait for an officer to respond, except when immediate medical care is needed. • Unleashed dogs must remain within the boundaries of the dog exercise area as defined by bollards. • Handlers must immediately pick up all feces and dispose of them in trash receptacles. • Aggressive dogs (defined as dogs posing a threat to human beings or other dogs) are not allowed at any time. Handlers are legally responsible for their dogs and any injury or damage to facilities caused by them.

Fully Fenced Yard For Dogs To Rent In Arlington

Fully Fenced
0.06 acres

Spacious backyard right in the heart of Arlington! Your pup should enjoy a place to run around even in the city. Parking: I had a gravel drive way feel free to park in and behind my car if I’m home. There’s also a parking lot next to me that has two hour free parking. Note: my house is right off Glebe so you can hear cars passing while in the back, but it is pretty sheltered from people passing on the sidewalk.

Willow Tree Yard

Fully Fenced
0.17 acres

**Potential noise/distraction warning for sensitive dogs: There is a new house being built on a lot near our spot, and sounds from the construction work might disturb some dogs (or people). The timing of the workers is unpredictable and out of our control, but they are finished by 6pm most days, and they haven’t been working most Sundays. If you make a reservation, I will give you a heads up if they are working that day, so that you can decide whether to reschedule.** Description: Let your dog run free in our backyard that has a wooden privacy fence. They can play or lounge under our large weeping willow tree, and we have many other amenities for dogs and people (see pictures and amenities list for details). Seating/shelter: The lower deck has 3 lawn chairs and a canopy for protection from sun/rain. The upper deck (accessible via stairs in the backyard) has 2 rocking chairs and a picnic table with 4 chairs. Use of the shed in the backyard is not an option (it will be locked). Parking: There is easy free street parking in our cul-de-sac, and the entrance gate to our yard is marked with a sign. Operating hours: We are open all day on most Saturdays/Sundays (plus some Fridays and holidays), and on weekday evenings. For after-dark visits, our yard has lighting, and we can also provide a flashlight for you and a clip-on light for your dog (2 available). Note 1: There is a public sidewalk that runs along the outside of the fence on one side of our yard. So, people occasionally walk by (and sometimes have their dog walking with them). The fence is a bit higher than 5 feet on that side, so people can be seen/heard briefly, and a passing dog could be heard/smelled by your dog if they are near the fence at the time. Most people have said this was not a significant issue for their dogs, but I'm stating it here for the awareness of people with more reactive dogs. Note 2: When walking between your vehicle and the gate to our backyard, there may sometimes be other people or dogs on the street/sidewalk or in their front yards. Or there may sometimes be someone from our household leaving or arriving home (which involves walking between the front door and a car in our driveway). So please keep your dog on leash until you are inside the backyard with the gate closed (per standard SniffSpot rules).

Relax and Play in Springfield, VA

Fully Fenced
0.17 acres

This yard has always been a special place for our family. Our dog loved racing through the grass here, full of energy and joy. After saying goodbye, my wife and I wanted to open the space to other dogs so they could enjoy it just as much as he did. Our large, fully fenced yard offers plenty of room to run, sniff, and explore safely. The 7-foot wooden fence keeps everything secure, perfect for off-leash play or reactive pups who need a little extra space. The yard features lush grass with mulch beds beneath mature trees, giving your dog both open sunshine and cool shade to enjoy. There’s a seating area with table and chairs, balls for playtime, and access to a hose and electrical outlet for your convenience. Off-street parking makes arrival easy and stress-free. Set in a quiet suburban neighborhood, just a short drive from Alexandria, Arlington and Washington DC. This is a peaceful spot to unwind, train, be off-leash and let your dog be a dog. We hope your pup feels right at home here. In the fall the yard gets covered in leaves. I do my best to keep them tidy, but they seem to have their own plans. Our dog used to love racing through the piles, and most pups enjoy the extra smells and crunch — hopefully yours does too.
