Hike up the mini forest

Our property is shy of 12 acres, 9+ acres of which we're sharing as a private off leash dog space or Sniffspot. The entrance is over the bridge where the creek is and 'From Creek to Back of Property' is all yours to explore. You may unleash your doggies right after the bridge and chain the gate if you want. Dogs might run down the creek for a splash or drink. Continue on to our family campground, there are picnic tables you could use, enjoy a picnic with your loved ones if you're up for it. Then, up the hill you go to 'hike up the mini forest', free to roam around, listen to the birds, squirrels and other critters and sounds that nature brings you. You'll find seating areas while your dogs are at play, feel free to use them. The back of property behind fence is DNR land, so rest assured you’re on your own private little world with your furry buddies. The mini forest has some large walking paths and smaller trails scattered about, also some open meadows and is at a peaceful wooded setting. This is where I go to unwind and relieve my head of stress and worries. It’s my place of meditation, while my dogs sniff and romp around like crazy, do their zoomies and play hide n seek! *If you want to save a little bit of moolah, I offer membership. Forget about the gym, you'll get your exercise here with your dogs. If you are a member of my sniffspot, or have older dog/s and would like to drive below or up the hill to park so the fur buddy don't get exhausted, message me.* Some of you have asked about the cabins. Sniffspot is unavailable if Cabins are booked or vice versa. Booking is through Hipcamp (www.hipcamp.com). Name of listing: 'Grace E.'s Mini Forest Cabins'. Check it out by copying and pasting link below to browser or search listing through the hipcamp site. https://www.hipcamp.com/washington/grace-e-s-mini-forest/the-mini-forest-cabins Anyway, hope you too will enjoy your little hike up our mini forest..

This spot was exactly as described, and our pups had a great time. Lots of open space for the dogs to run, plus a few interesting foliage areas for them to take their time sniffing.

A great spot! My dogs and I enjoyed the trails. I got so lost in my thoughts and watching them and taking everything in that I didn’t even get my phone out for photos. Wish we had spent more time. Looking forward to our next visit

Very well maintained trails. My pups (all 3) had a wonderful time! There are many treasures to be found along the trail. Such fun!! There was a restroom and water available as stated in the write up. The mosquitos were biting so I very much appreciated the bug spray!!

The pups (3), 2 young and 1 older had a fantastic time. We spent 2 hours and saw lots of the trails. You must have good recall if you have a wondering pup like ours. We will be back! Thank you!

We had so much fun! The little treasures along the way made it just as fun for me as it was for my dog. As it’s starting to heat up bug spray is a must & they also have some available, super thoughtful. We can’t wait to go back :)

Walk in Don’s Woods is such a peaceful place to enjoy a walk with my dogs. There are plenty of trails to wander and enjoy finding all the treasures and artful pieces that have been cleverly placed around the property. This is my second time visiting, and I plan to return in the future!

Absolutely love this sniff spot! It's so much fun for my young daughters to spot all the gnomes. My dogs love the vast space to explore through trails and vegetation. I got a membership so we can come again and again! Note: While there are farm animals here, they are far enough away my dogs have never seen them. Though we could hear a rooster off in the distance. But my dogs didn't even notice.

Our dog had a great time sniffing and exploring the woods without the worry of crossing paths with unfamiliar dogs/people. The trails were well maintained and we loved looking out for all the different figures placed within the space. There's also a nice open space where we were able to play fetch. We look forward to visiting again soon!

A great spot! The dogs LOVED it, it was hard to get them back in the car. Lots of trails to explore and an open space for them to wrestle and chase. It was fun for the humans too.

With all the rain that we have been having it made many water features in the woods and in trails! Some I couldn't cross because I wasn't wearing boots but my dogs had a blast!! They love water so it was extra fun today for them!

About a 45 min drive from Seattle but I ld give extra time for surprise traffic. Amazing trails, incredibly whimsical my dog had a blast. It was raining most of the time I was there so a ton of mud be sure to wear good shoes.

Wow. What a wonderful Sniffspot! I had to book an early time, so I arrived in the dark. It was a little disorienting at first, but Teddy was off and running. Don's Woods are almost magical. My dog Teddy and I ventured down the forest path and I noticed some special sights. I shined my phone flashlight and found some treasures. I kept finding them down the trail. Very special place. I am going to come back in full daylight; I can't wait. Teddy had a blast; he ran & ran. I will be back to see what more treasures await. Thank you for a lovely time.

Loved this spot and will definitely be back again! The flat, winding wooded paths were great for my senior dog. He got lots of great smells and splashed in a few puddles. The woods we’re so secluded, the couple of gaps in the fence were no issue. We could hear a rooster and a dog in the distance. The fairies and other little figurines throughout would be ideal to keep a young kid entertained while exploring with your dog.

Love taking my pups for a walk (or run!) in Don’s woods. We have been there several times and as soon as I get off the freeway they start getting excited as they know where we are going :)

It is important for dogs to have off leash exercise to sniff and run. But the free and open nature of public dog parks has drawbacks. Sniffspot private dog parks only allow one guest to book at a time and are not open to the public, which solves many of these issues.

All Sniffspot locations are vetted and reviewed by guests so you can find the perfect place for you and your dog. 96% of reviews on Sniffspot visits in the Arlington area are 5 stars.
