55We had another wonderful visit to this beautiful Sniffspot. This is one of the few places where my reactive, noise-sensitive dog can really relax and have fun. I'd highly recommend visiting this spot!Sara E.

55Many mossy trails wind through a forest of tall trees where you feel secluded. You'll discover a number of treasures and art along the route. Perhaps there will be a Bigfoot sighting. There's an open meadow with tall grass and even an outhouse! It's bug season so do what you need to do to protect humans and dogs from mosquitoes. For my dog it was all wags all the time!Karen D.

55This time of year is always a treat as the dense moss is growing on the path. We tread softly on the beautiful moss and so appreciate the efforts to keep it undisturbed.Brenda W.

55I love this place, it's very private, especially for the type of dog I have who is very anxious. I love the fact that there are so many trails and also little spots with water (made by the rain) where my dog can refresh himself. I will always come back.Veronika S.

55Favorite spot we’ve visited so far. Gorgeous trails with fun statues around each corner. Lots of amenities available. I was concerned about the fence based on past reviews but it looked very secure for my two large dogs. Amber C.

55Such a peaceful place with well maintained trails and thoughtful art and messages throughout. Most trails are carpeted with moss but some bits might get mushy in the rain so wear weather appropriate footwear. The shady forest is perfect for escaping summer heat. Our dog had a blast!Crystal H.

55Don’s Woods is my favorite Sniff Spot. Today we were greeted by the 2 friendly horses and 4 sweet donkeys at the fence. The woods are always so beautiful, the paths groomed and there’s always some new little trinket to admire. My dogs l o v e it there too. They can chase each other and run to their hearts content. 55This was an awesome place for our senior rescue dog with anxiety. First time we had her off leash since we got her two years ago. She had a blast! Love the characters and cool finds in the woods.

55Such a beautiful space! I enjoyed finding all of the hidden gnomes and other creatures and artwork that were thoughtfully placed around the trails. My dog had a blast! I ended up keeping him on a 30 ft lead just to be extra cautious, as there were farm animals present and he is quite the escape artist.
Once we approached the parking area, we were greeted by a couple donkeys! There is fencing separating the donkeys from the parking area, but if you have a highly reactive dog I would recommend keeping them on leash until you get farther back along the trails.
The trails are well maintained, easy to navigate, and all loop around back to the parking area.
Again, we had so much fun and would absolutely recommend to anyone looking for a calm walk in the woods :)Alison E.

55Host was wonderful - sent clear instructions ahead of time on how to access the correct area. They left out water and towels for our girl incase her paws got muddy. They also had poop bags and a garbage section and left out fresh tennis balls for us which went above and beyond. Highly recommend this Sniffspot!
We have a reactive dog so we were a bit worried about the neighbor dog mentioned in the description, but that dog stopped barking after five minutes of our arrival and there was zero visibility to the other dog with the fence privacy. It was great for her to practice avoiding barking dogs.
There was also a lot of space for her to stretch her legs and get some nice sprints in.Kiersten S.

FAQ about our Arlington dog parks
Are dog parks good for dogs?
It is important for dogs to have off leash exercise to sniff and run. But the free and open nature of public dog parks has drawbacks. There could be aggressive dogs, disease transmission and cleanliness issues. For this reason, many dog behaviorists discourage visiting public dog parks and recommend Sniffspot's private dog parks. Sniffspot private dog parks only allow one guest to book at a time and are not open to the public, which solves many of these issues.
Are dog parks safe?
While public dog parks have a number of safety issues, such as aggressive dogs, disease transmission and general cleanliness, Sniffspot dog parks much safer than public dog parks. With Sniffspot all bookings are private for just you and dogs you bring with you and we require all dogs to be vaccinated (or have equivalent titers). All Sniffspot locations are vetted and reviewed by guests so you can find the perfect place for you and your dog. 96% of reviews on Sniffspot visits in the Arlington area are 5 stars.
How do I know if a dog park works for my dog?
You can filter Sniffspot dog parks by fencing and distractions. If your dog doesn't have good recall, you can visit one of our 169 fully fenced dog parks in the area. If your dog is reactive to other dogs, you can visit one of our 34 off leash areas where there are no dogs audible or visible nearby.
