The Wet Spot

Welcome to the Wet Spot! Designed by dogs for dogs our 1.4 acre fully fenced play area features a 1/2 acre swim pond, dock, sand dig pit, rocky stream, grassy open areas, and a shaded pavilion. Feel free to bring your own SUP or kayak! The Wet Spot is a great place to work on paddle training. Our pond is regularly tested for Cyanobacteria (blue green algae).

Pondside Paws Park

Welcome to Pondside Paws Park, located in a quiet valley 15 minutes outside of downtown Asheville NC. Here you will find a peaceful, fully fenced in half acre lot with a pond for your pups to swim, romp, sniff, play and have a great time. For those more adventurous dogs, there's even a dock for jumping into the pond! There are opportunities for enjoying the pond regardless of your dog's age or exercise ability, as there is a shallow area with tall grass for wading and splashing, and a deeper area for swimming. The slope of the land is gentle for those older dogs as well- this spot is suitable for dogs of all ages and abilities. For the humans, we have several seating options including a picnic table and 4 chairs under a shade sail. Bug spray, sunscreen, fresh drinking water for the dogs and a tote full of toys is also provided in the weatherproof storage shed next to the seating area. Waste bags are available if needed, although we appreciate people bringing their own, and there is a waste container located at the entrance, next to the kiddie pool that is used to rinse off muddy paws. It's recommended that you bring a towel to dry them off before getting back into your car. We hope you enjoy the spot and leave it as you found it for others to enjoy as well.

This is the original sniffspot for Asheville! The one you may have read about in Women Day magazine, CNBC Online and The Sun. A large pasture with fencing around everywhere. Bring a towel and enjoy! Chairs and picnic table, a hammock provided creekside! There is even a 10x16 Covered Gazebo! We hope you like it! Please do not bring more dogs than you have made your reservation for. We have over an acre, fully fenced. Pull right up to the marked gate by the out building and go right in. Tall trees provide shade and there is seating. Our dog Oliver shares his toys and we keep a doggy waste station available for easy cleanup. We live in the house on the property with our 2 dogs but want to share our spacious yard with others. The doggy pool is out in warm weather and is filled with filtered water. Please do not come early as our dogs are in the yard between bookings, and please leave on time. We do a lot between visits to get the yard ready for the next guest, and also our dogs enjoy checking pee mails. Leaving 2-3 minutes late, or later, puts us behind schedule and we are typically booked back to back all day.

#3 Fun field for a furry frenzy 3- Field of Dreams in Fletcher

This is the best dog park in all of Buncombe County! Have you ever wanted to run your dog on three football sized flat fields? This is your chance. Located behind UPM Raflatac Warehouse in the cane creek industrial park this huge spot is the third one we have built. It’s perfect for all ages of dogs and their humans because of the terrain! If you are up for an adventure, we have cut in a small trail to access Cane Creek. It is part of the same property but is NOT fenced in any way. If your pup enjoys off or on leash hikes, then feel free. The trail is outside the fencing look for the silver gate across from the Gazbo. It is an out and back path with two small hills about a 3-5min walk in the woods. A picnic table, gazebo with swing, and hammock are located here for lots of seating and shelter. Some toys are provided. I think a Remote Control car or a drone, a mountain bike might be really fun to bring or even a Remote Control plane. This spot is actually part of the old Fletcher airport. No Digging! PLEASE! All I want in life is to help people to have balanced dogs in their lives! Enjoy!

There's also plenty of open space for running, fetching, exploring, and working on recall. Bring your dog's favorite ball, frisbee, or water toy—and get ready for some happy, tired pups!

Hidden River Private Dog Park in Swannanoa, NC

We are back in action after the flood and the Swannanoa Valley where we are located is as beautiful as ever. I'm happy for our four legged friends to enjoy again our large, flat grassy fenced in area for unleashed dogs on a 20 acre farm and wedding venue (Hidden River Events) next to the Swannanoa River. Parking is just outside the fence on the grass. There is a large deck with seating for relaxing while your pup(s) play. If it has rained within 24-48 hours of your visit, the spot may be muddy (even though it is a grass pasture) so it is good to bring towels for your pup. The fenced area has no trees so, there is an umbrella provided. If you use it, make sure to close it before you depart. This is a large farm and the distance from the sniff spot to the river is a good ways. You are welcome to walk your dog on a leash to the river if you don't see any other dogs on the property or an event going on. In 2026, we are not having a lot of weddings un late August through mid-November, so you should be good to enjoy the river. If you have questions about where to walk to go to the river or if it's ok to enjoy more than the sniffspot itself, please text me at 828-458-5740. Horses and goats reside in their own fully contained pastures on the property away from the Sniff Spot. We have donkeys now as well. Donkeys are not like horses. Donkeys have the fight reflex, so do not allow your animals to get in the fenced in area with the donkeys. A donkey can kill a dog, easily. There is a water bucket on site to refill a water bowl if the bowl is empty when you arrive. There is water in the barn. We try to keep it filled, but sometimes miss it. Feel free to leash your dog and take him/her down to the river to play while you are on your visit.

Welcome to Pup Paradise in Horse Shoe! Our beautiful, wide-open backyard is fully fenced and ready for your dog’s next adventure! The main gate is conveniently accessible from the corner of the house by the driveway, and mature trees along the fence line provide shade on those warm summer days. Water bowls, a hose, and plenty of balls and frisbees are available for your furry friends to enjoy, and owners are welcome to relax in seating on the deck or fire pit area. Make memories with your fur-babies at our little slice of pup paradise!

Abigail's Barkyard Basecamp!

.75 acres in lovely East Asheville, convenient to town! The yard has two private gated entrances on either side of the home, perched at the top of the hill. Make yourself at home and relax on the comfy outdoor furniture by the firepit or the hammock while your pup zoomies to their heart’s content. There's plenty of dog toys for tug or toss, plus tennis balls and throwers for the Fetch Fanatics—and even a fancy pooper scooper to save your back. Our neighbors on either side do have dogs, and you may occasionally see them out and about-- but they mostly mind their own business (though the Husky on one side might yodel a hello), and all fencing is private/ not shared so there is no possible fence contact. I’m a stay-at-home mom, so an indoor bathroom is available if needed, along with WiFi if you need to stay connected during your visit. We also have two mini Aussies (one tiny, one shmedium). We'd be happy to set up a safe play date if anyone is ever interested, but they stay inside and can't see the backyard so your visit is totally private! We fully understand that sometimes you want a private dog park for a reason! There's a water hose on the back of the home to fill water bowls, as well! We always try to pre-fill these before visitors come, but the spigot can be turned on anytime more water is needed.
