55Such a great spot! There are gates to separate the agility play area and the trails through the meadow area! Everything was pristine plenty of dog toys to use. Nice little shelter with cozy rocking chairs for us humans to sit under while it sprinkled a little. Umbrellas were also available and dog towels. Will definitely be returning again!

“Our dogs will ALWAYS be inside or off the property. We have dogs but they can’t see the dog yard when they are inside and they don’t often bark. You shouldn’t see or hear them. There are a few dogs in the neighborhood that you may hear bark in the distance. No dogs have a yard that is up against the Sniffspot fence line.”

“The entrance/barnyard does have neighbors but they are over 100 feet away. When we are home we won’t bother you other than greeting new people and there isn’t anyone who will be walking by the fence line as it’s mostly private or bordering other parts of our land.”

There is a metal gate protecting the driveway. Come through that, close the gate, and park up against the dog yard fence where it says “Guest Entrance” and “Visitor Parking” Please close the gate again when you leave. There is a second Guest Entrance gate to get into the SniffSpot.

Description

Welcome to Wilde Kind Farm! Summer is in full swing at the farm. From new fencing, upgraded gates, and other projects. Watch our social media and signage board for current conditions, upcoming events and expansion news! Bring your doggos to run and play off-leash in our newly expanded 6 acres of fenced play yard! The dog yard is split into 3 main zones with gates so you can explore while keeping your dog in sight. We have lots of space to explore, toys, and lots of other amenities! Our farm is set on 75 acres here in historic Litchfield with the original 1830 farmhouse and a big red barn. We have multiple areas for your to explore: 1. Our Play Yard welcome area that has a 3 sided shelter with seating. This is where you can grab some poop bags, toys, or request extras like agility equipment, kiddie pools, corn hole, BBQ grill etc. This area also lights up at night. 2. The Wilde Side with lots of paths to explore, a secret garden, native plants, hedges, multiple spots to sit, and a big open meadow. We are working making this area a monarch way station as well! 3. Our new area, Wolf Tree Meadow! Walk behind past the barn towards the hayfield and explore the stone compass circle. Rent the fire ring or use the table and chairs to relax while your dog sniffs to their heart’s content. Please note the entire SS accessible property is fenced. There is a driveway gate, and a second gate to enter our SniffSpot.

This is a farm so there may be materials for projects around. We are extending the fencing at the moment so there may be fencing materials in a couple spots in between bookings. There are rocks, roots, and some uneven ground. A concrete well access that is capped.

ANY BOOKING THAT INCLUDES MORE THAN THREE (3) DOGS REQUIRE A MINIMUM OF A THREE TO ONE (3:1) DOG TO ADULT HANDLER RATIO. AS AN EXAMPLE: THERE MUST BE A MINIMUM OF TWO (2) ADULTS TO HANDLE FOUR (4) DOGS WHILE THEY ARE ON THE PROPERTY. The agility, tires, and other parkour items are for dogs only and are used by your dogs at your own risk. The driveway, orchard, front garden, and barn/dooryard of our home ARE NOT part of the SniffSpot. The SniffSpot begins at the Guest Entrance to the left of the big red barn. Keep your dog on leash in the barnyard area. TRAIL ACCESS IS NOW SEPARATE from the SniffSpot use and requires dogs to be on a leash no longer than 30-feet. Retractable Leashes are not allowed as they don’t allow for proper control of leashed dogs in the event of wildlife or other animals. We are planting gardens and orchards in that area and may have projects in front of the barn, so we ask that you keep your dog on leash at all times in the parking area, and stay inside the designated SniffSpot areas. Thank you.

Visits can be moved or cancelled up to 2 hours before a visit.
Visits can be extended and dogs can be added throughout the visit.
