This is a great little spot with alot of privacy once you are down the hill by the river. There is an open field for the dogs to run and play catch with a mix of grass and sand, There are multiple spots where the dogs and people can get into the water if you wish . I also have a picnic table and some chairs down there to sit and relax at , it is very peaceful and private. I also offer overnight camping for guests for 100 a night , I have a nice large lodge style tent set up overlooking the river , there is a grill picnic table , firepit a couple fishing poles or you could always bring your own. I also have kayaks and a canoe available for rent also.

It is not attached to our back yard and is a completely separate and private area. A great place for play dates with others, maybe even a picnic for the humans. Bring your snowshoes if you would like a bit of a workout yourself off trail in the deeper snow! ***2-16-26 the field is in poor conditions due to the frozen ground and warm temperatures. Please watch your footing. Early morning guest the low areas will refreeze and be crazy slippery, later guests need waterproof boots. PLEASE NOTE: Zero tolerance for smoking of ANYTHING while on our property. You may smoke in your own personal vehicle. But also, do NOT leave your dogs unattended. Fill any holes you pup digs and return toy to bin. Also, in the winter months, please be aware that their is no lighting in the field. The designated Sniffspot parking area has ample lighting but none in the field. ***please note that Duck hunting has begun. If you arrive early in the am here, there is a possibility of hearing shotguns. You are perfectly safe as they are hunting along the Mississippi corridor but just a heads up for dogs that are sound reactive.***

Absolutely NO hunting or harvesting of wildlife is permitted on the property at any time. If you are looking for a manicured city park, this isn't it! Our land is 100% holistic with zero pesticides, herbicides, or fertilizers used, providing a clean, natural environment for your dog. Our raw terrain mimics true field conditions to give your dog an authentic working experience. • Training & Play: Dummy play is highly encouraged! We are currently building a dummy launcher that you will soon be able to use on-site with your own training dummies. • Enclosure & Safety: There is no fencing on this property. It is naturally bordered and enclosed by dense, thick wooded areas and heavy tree lines. Because of this, it is strictly recommended for dogs with an excellent, rock-solid recall or handlers training with long lines and tracking leads. • Wildlife & Scent Profile: This land is highly active! Your dog will encounter fresh bird and game scents from a massive variety of local wildlife, including pheasants, grouse, deer, turkeys, sandhill cranes, rabbits, foxes, moles, voles, and gophers. Perfect for testing a dog's drive, spatial awareness, and navigation through thick cover. • The Brook Challenge: There is a natural brook on the property, but please note it features a steep incline and dense brush that makes it difficult to access. For basic cleanup, we supply two 5-gallon jugs of water for rinsing off your dog, along with paper water bowls. Like any natural outdoor area, ticks are present, so please ensure your dog is on preventative care and check them afterward. Look for the dog silhouette sign pointing directly to a small, private, off-road grassy parking area. This spot is located west of the main driveway and just east of the brook. • Warm Water Wash Bookings (Driveway Parking): If you ordered the warm water wash station in advance, please park directly in the main driveway. The station is hooked up in our driveway turnaround to stay within hose distance of the house spigot. • Leaving the Property: When your session is over, you can safely leash your dog to the post or use the wire kennel to secure them while you walk over to retrieve your vehicle from the parking area.

Rookie's Park - 140 Acres of Rolling Hills & Ponds!

This 140-acre retriever training facility is made available to you when we are not training :) It features rolling hills, and several ponds. The main walking area is 80 mowed acres surrounded by ponds. While not fenced in, the neighboring fields are farmland - no houses, dogs, or people in sight. If your dog needs some serious exercise and room to run, this is it!

Fairhill meadow

Spend some time on over 30 acres of rolling hills, woods, ravine, mowed paths. This area is used for a paintball playing area and is open when we dont have reservations.

Rice Creek Sniffspot

NOTE: we will be cleaning and storing away the agility equipment for the winter season starting in September. The agility equipment displayed are only available during the summer months. A large, open 1.25 acre fenced in yard with multiple small hills that is bordered on the west side by a public walking trail (with 6 foot fence) and on the north side by Rice Creek (with 5 foot fence). Note that the creek is not directly accessible from the Sniffspot. During the winter months, deer and foxes pass just outside of the fenced in yard, while in warmer months the creek entices additional wildlife as well as the occasional canoeist or kayak. Agility equipment pictured are available during the warmer months and are not available in the winter. There's abundant street parking as we are located at a dead-end. Please do not park in the driveway. Enter the yard using the gate located to the left of the garage.
