We have a 5 acre OFF LEASH area available, and an ON LEASH walking trail in the back of our property. We are pleased to invite you and your dog to our lovely fully fenced in area on our 12 acre property in the countryside of Montpelier, VA. 30 min from downtown Richmond, VA - come escape to the quiet and tranquil area we have set up and fenced off for dogs. An additional nature area for walking is available in the back; however, dogs MUST be leashed in this area, as it is not fully fenced back there. Walking trails have been cut and wildlife is often seen in our little sanctuary. Please be mindful of neighbors and leave the area as you found it. Be sure to close ALL gates before you leave & please pick up after your pet. Thank you! *No smoking while on premise, please and thank you!* Please practice Leave No Trace.

There is a wood pile, and some blackberry bushes around the area to be mindful of. Some areas on the property may contain poison ivy, please be careful not to touch! Please pick up after your furry friend and be sure to close all gates in the main area before you leave! Thank you! 😊 We operate the SniffSpot from 10AM - 3PM, as our own dogs use the space in the mornings and evenings. The main fenced area is available for OFF LEASH use, and the area in the far back with the walking trail is ON LEASH ONLY***. You may encounter wildlife in the back, so please be respectful of the wildlife that lives nearby - We love our natural neighbors. Thank you! If you have any questions, please reach out!

Our yard is around .25 acres and fully fenced with a 6ft privacy fence. Only 5 minutes from downtown! We do have a deck (perfect for throwing that ball!) and a patio. We live on a cul-de-sac so parking can be a bit wonky but there are usually spaces available or you’re welcome to pull into our driveway if one of our cars is not there. ***please read*** There’s been a recent disturbance in the lot behind our yard, some developer is cutting down trees and possibly paving a road to a housing unit that has yet to be built. At the moment we’re not sure exactly what is happening but we are gathering more info and will hopefully have a timeline of how long this construction work will be. If your dog is afraid of loud machinery, you may want to reschedule your visit for a Sunday. As of now that seems to be the only day of the week they’re not working back there. We are very sad this is happening near our yard, as part of the reason we bought this house was the privacy we felt in our back yard. Please bare with us as we try to navigate this situation, we will post updates as we get them. We totally understand if you choose to cancel your visit!
