55Mike was great. Paths were nice.
55We had a great time exploring the trails! Mike was incredibly kind and offered so many little touches- meeting us to go over the trails, providing a map, offering to fill a basin with water in case our pup got muddy, etc. The trails were well marked, including the quickest way back and there was a bathroom for guests on site.

55So much space and Mike is very helpful and sweet! He also has a hose/tub and provides towels so you can wash your dog after which is great.

55Our third time coming to this spot and there's always something new to see! Today we walked on the perimeter trail (#1) clockwise. This got us close enough to some neighbors' houses that we could hear chickens in the distance, but couldn't see them. It's both woods and a grass meadow and it's in Virginia so (pet-safe!) bug spray is must. The trails would be fine with regular trainers but I was very glad to have lightweight hiking boots for frolicking in the meadow with my pup. Also was glad I had extra water and a water bowl for the pup in the car, there was so much for her to explore that she ran back and forth at top speed for most of our visit 😂 Someday I will book more than an hour and pack a picnic and a blanket for hanging out in the field. Mike is a delightful host, very communicative and maintains the large property very well. We'll be back again with bells on!

Description

Mostly wooded, very private with almost 7 miles of trails. $20.00, each additional dog $5.00. Limit of four people per dog. Message me if you want to bring more than four people per dog. Please ensure your pup has good recall. We have plenty of parking. We have two picnic tables in the shade. Please don't use Apple maps for directions, it doesn't take you to the driveway entrance. Waze and Google Maps will send you to the house.

There are a few short trails around the property. I don't have a lot of restrictions as I probably will be at the house when you are there. I only ask that visitors do not allow animals on house property such as porches and wood walkways. We are approachable if you see us outside and encourage it. Our beloved GSD 'Samantha' passed a year ago and we miss seeing her running through the fields. Deer on property daily but they will avoid you generally with canines. If your pet has an unhinged prey drive I'd probably bag it since I border several acres of wooded property with zero containment. Thick, unmanaged forest!
