Captain's Retreat at Bear Creek

Captain's Retreat at Bear Creek located off Highway 64 in Mocksville! 4.5 acres of fully fenced (woven mesh wire and post/rail 5.5ft to 6ft high) with trails, woods, field, and plenty of room to run and explore! Open the front gate and drive into the secure parking area. ***CLOSE AND LATCH THE GATE BEHIND YOU BEFORE GETTING YOUR DOGS OUT OF THE CAR!*** Walk through gate into the space from the secure parking area. This area has wooded trails as well as cleared areas. Densely wooded areas and thickets all around. TICK PREVENTION IS A MUST! There are no pesticides or herbicides used here. Only natural horticulture vingear for spot weed control. This area is located beside Bear Creek and when the creek is high or after a good rain IT WILL BE MUDDY on the right side of the property! Dry creekbed located across the back of the property. **The Creek is NOT accessible from the fenced property** -Water hose on site for use. Dog shower/bath area to the right of the shed with dog wash hose attached, shampoo, and wash shammy. Or you may bring your own bath supplies! Feel free to give your dog a shower/bath! ***Just added dog pool*** For use at no extra charge! Fill up/use if you'd like! (It's been stored for the fall/winter...but if you would like to use it...please let me know at time of booking) -Dog water bowl, dog brush, toys, treats, human and dog tick spray provided. All located in large deck box inside the gate. -Bring doggy towels in case of mud or bathing! -Porch swing and seating areas with a shed deck, gas grill, picnic table and hammock at the top of the property. -Chair/table area at the bottom of rock trail. At the end of the cleared field is a 2 single seat swing set and hammocks by the bridge. **Stick Library** -**NEW** we have expanded the field area to fence in the hill! Here’s a polished version that keeps it warm, inviting, and clear for dog owners: Welcome to Camp-Ruff, a playground for K-9s! 🐾 Give your dog room to run, sniff, explore, and simply be a dog inside our fully fenced, private two-acre property. Camp-Ruff offers plenty of grassy areas, natural trails, interesting smells, and ample shade, making it a wonderful place for dogs to exercise and explore while their humans relax. For our human guests, there’s a restroom available inside the camper, as well as a shaded front porch at the Tiny House with comfortable seating. A water hydrant is available to refill the dogs’ water bowl or fill the kiddie pool for pups who enjoy cooling off and splashing around. Please remember to turn the hydrant off after use and empty and turn over the pool when you’re finished. Need to stay connected while your dog plays? Wi-Fi is available on the property, along with electrical outlets inside the camper and on the Tiny House porch. A little mosquito tip: The arbor and bench area is generally the best place to relax during mosquito season because of the Cedarcide chips surrounding the area. Since this is a natural, wooded outdoor environment, mosquitoes can still be present, especially after rain. We recommend bringing your favorite bug spray or citronella candles for additional comfort. We hope you and your K-9 enjoy your private time exploring Camp-Ruff! 🐕🌿

Welcome! Right now its VERY basic. We are looking add on more fun attractions. The booking includes a .25 acre of a fully fenced in area. This area provides ample space to play or just hang out with your dog. We are about 15 minutes outside of down town Winston-Salem. Just far enough away to feel like you are out in the country. Of course, we are bias, but the area is very peaceful. In sharing our land we hope to provide folks with a safe place that you can enjoy watching your dog explore and play. Amenties: - Dog toys / tennis balls, herding ball, and tug toys - Agility obstacles / a small set of cones and poles to jump over - Chairs / 3 lawn chairs - First aid kit / one for humans and one for dogs - Bug Spray - Hand Towels/ to dry off (no worries if they get muddy) - Wet wipes / to clean your dogs muddy paws - Poop Bags Please Note: When using the water hydrant, we are on a well! Because of being on a well we would appreciate you double checking to make sure the water is off before you depart :) We have changed the sniff spot listing slightly. Fully fenced 1 acre that includes the pond. 5 acres nestled in a slow pace subdivision in Winston Salem in Arcadia. 5 acres include dense woods, grass, and a large, stocked pond. It is our private residence and you may hear other dogs barking from inside but please enjoy your time with us. Our dogs just love the area. Area is not treated for pests.

Welcome to Doggy Pool Paradise! 🐶💦 The spot was started in honor of my sweet Bailey who passed away Easter weekend 2025 only 1 month shy of her 12th birthday. 💔 She was my soul dog and the primary reason I bought a house with a pool. Now I just want to see other dogs enjoying it and having fun. 🐾🥰 We are open from 9:00 am to 700 pm weather permitting. Private saltwater pool. Pool can be heated for an additional charge. Check this in the Extras section. Dogs are allowed to jump in but must use steps or ramp to get out. READ THIS BEFORE YOU BOOK! Proof of your dog's current vaccines plus what flea and tick preventative they're on is required to be sent to me when you book a reservation!! NO exceptions!! Rabies & Bordatella are Required! If you don't have your dog up to date on these two vaccines and have them on a monthly flea and tick preventative do not book a reservation!! NOTE: Veterans and Active Duty Service Members get half off the hourly rate with Military ID. Please message me for a discount code. Choose this in the Extras section. Doggy life jackets in Small, Medium, Large, and XL are provided. Please hang them up to dry after use. Plenty of seating and shade available. Mini fridge with cold bottled water for only $1 each located in the sunroom (choose this in the Extras section). Fun Dog water toys, dog life jackets in all sizes, dog towels, dog pool floats, water bowls and pool ramp available to use at no extra charge. Please bring your own sunscreen. NOTE: Sorry, no bathroom is available for humans as I may not always be home... Dogs MUST be current on their Rabies vaccine & Bordatella vaccines and be on some sort of flea & tick preventative!! Proof of this is required to be sent to me BEFORE your visit!! Screenshots are accepted. Poop bags & clean-up station provided near the gated entrance. All owners must pick up after their dogs in and out of the pool area!! Violators will not be allowed to return. There are security cameras on the premises. Max of two people (adults) per dog unless otherwise arranged with Host. Thus is not a pool party spot for humans! The pool is mainly for dogs. Unfortunately, NO children under the age of 16 permitted IN the pool due to liability reasons unless pre-approved ! If you are bringing a child with you, they can sit on the side of the pool or in a chair and watch the dogs swim. They are NOT allowed in the pool under any circumstances unless pre-approved by me in advance!! If You are bringing more than one dog, they must already know each other and get along! It is highly recommended that you brush your dog before your visit. If excessive fur in the filter becomes a problem then this sniff spot will unfortunately no longer be available. The perimeter of my property is fenced so you know you’re still on my property. However, it is triple strand so dogs could go through it. We do have chickens and ducks that free roam. We also have other animals that will be contained in the barnyard behind the barn. Drive straight down driveway towards RV. There will be a gate straightahead and another gate to the left. Park anywhere there and use either gate. The gate to the left leads to that big field and the creek runs the length of it. The other gate leads to the back and crosses over the creek. Walk up there just a bit and you will see a path to the left. It goes up to another open field.
