Description
DOG PARK RULES & REGULATIONS • The Ocean County Off-Leash dog area is for use by permit only. (With valid ID card - see below) • Owners are responsible to bring a water bowl for their dog. • Management reserves the right to close the area due to weather conditions. • Children under eight (8) years of age are not permitted within the off-leash dog area. Children eight (8) years of age and older must be closely supervised by an adult. • There is a limit of two (2) dogs per person. When others are waiting, please limit your use to thirty (30) minutes. The maximum number of dogs at one time is twenty (20). • Owners are responsible at all times for the behavior and safety of their dogs and should be considerate of others. • Puppies under six (6) months old are prohibited. • Dogs must wear collars displaying valid licenses at all times and have current vaccinations. Choke collars are prohibited in the Off Leash Dog Facilities. • Dogs must be leashed prior to entering and upon leaving area. Owners must remain with their dogs at all times and must carry a leash for each dog at all times. • Owners must clean up after their dogs. • No dog treats, food or toys are allowed in Off-Leash dog area. • Dogs in heat will not be permitted inside the facility. • Dogs non-neutered male dogs will not be permitted inside the facility. • No chairs are permitted.

We have outdoor furniture for you to take it all in as you immerse yourself in the wonders of Silverton Road’s most charming home! We have a deck box which holds our cushions for you to access in the event I am unable to set them out. If you’re lucky, you may just see some of our neighborhood’s beloved deer or chickens grazing in the field behind our property. When you’re done enjoying our property, be sure to visit Silverton Farms right down the road for fresh organic produce, eggs, honey and flowers. We hope you enjoy our property as much as our dogs Blu and Auggie do! Please note- we are a heavily wooded yard and as such, be sure to check you and your pups for ticks! Also just an update: upon entering our barnyard you will see where a large tree stump has been ground down- we lost our wonderful Black Cherry tree in a recent storm. As of 6/26, we have reseeded that area and surrounded it with plastic fencing, so please don’t mind the progress! One more quick note! Because our sanctuary is so well-loved by our local pups, the grass can experience some "wear and tear" during the peak summer months. While some areas may look a bit sandy or thin due to high traffic, please know we will be reseeding these spots to ensure it returns to its full, lush state. We appreciate your understanding as we keep our yard looking its best for every visitor!

The half acre fenced area consists of ample grass to run on, a concrete sidewalk / patio (handicapped accessible), mulchbeds of flowers & berries (feel free to grab a handful of berries if they’re in season!) and a giant sandbox / playground area. Tree cover throughout the yard provides shade, even in the hottest summer months. All around you is privacy—to one side, a half acre unfenced stretch of our property, and all around the property is 3.5 acres of private woods and wetlands. Deer, wild turkey, turtles, frogs, & birds of all kinds are just some of the animals you may spot! We provide tables and chairs, water, poop bags & scooper, and several toys. Kids (or kids at heart) will have a blast using the ride-on sand diggers, slides, and swings & coloring with sidewalk chalk. Fertilizer and pesticide: The grass is treated with fertilizer a couple times a year and the bushes are sprayed for ticks/mosquitos and weeds approximately monthly. As we have young kids a dog, all products used are animal & child safe when dry (within 2 hours). Out of an abundance of caution, we will ensure reservations are blocked off for the entirety of the day following any fertilizer, herbicide, or pesticide treatment.
