Tucked just outside the Dundee city limits, our peaceful, fully fenced 5-acre field offers a little slice of freedom for your dog. Away from the road and very private, it's a perfect place for dogs to safely romp, sniff or calmly explore at their own pace. The field is near our home, so you might see us coming and going—but during your visit, the spot is entirely yours to enjoy. This is a welcoming space for all dogs and their people, and we’re genuinely glad to share it with you.

Along with people and their dogs depending on the time of day. The spot is private, but there may be activity outside of it.

We have sheep, turkeys and chickens on the farm. Stay clear of pasture fencing. Hot wire used inside of the pasture, don’t touch. Wildlife walk the trails too. Use caution. 200 foot elevation gain from the bottom of the property to the top. Hiking up and down hill is required. Wide dirt and/or grass trails. Several trails that intersect with each other. Grass field area off trail available. Seating and dog water available on the trail. Trash cans are available at the top of the trail and water stations down lower. Water stations may change due to weather conditions. We offer fresh $5 egg and $10 firewood bundles that you can pay cash, Venmo for here or on this app.

Come play or just hang out and relax at our peaceful quiet 3 fully fenced acres with a seasonal creek loads of open space to play fetch or just romp around. There is a kiddy pool available for splashing (seasonally)and a tunnel, weave poles, teeter totter, shute, tunnels and some other toys available. If you are lucky you could see deer elk or even an eagle or the cow's next door. There are chairs to sit in out in the back pasture in the shade. Lots of toys and open space to run and sniff. We do have neighbors with dogs and other animals.

The property includes 30 unfenced acres of tall grass, trees, and quiet trails, with access to the Yamhill River on both sides of the bridge. Some areas may be swampy during the winter and spring, especially in the lower sections. Please be aware of common forest hazards such as blackberry bushes, poison oak, nettles, cow parsnip, and the occasional downed tree. There are no homes, restrooms or residents on the property only neighbors and a small garden area. You are welcome to explore both sides of the bridge. While there are "No Trespassing" signs posted near it, they are only intended to discourage the local homeless community. During the summer and fall, feel free to enjoy the fruit growing throughout the property most of which is at the far NW end of the grass road near the entrance. Deer and a variety of birds also call this place home and are best left undisturbed. You will find a couple of chairs and a small table set out for you to enjoy a quiet moment or watch the sunset. Please be respectful of our neighbors and remember to pick up after yourself and your dogs. Much of the property is being reforested in partnership with the USDA. Rows of young plantings are marked with colorful flags. They are hardy species, but please avoid letting your dogs urinate on the new trees and shrubs. Welcome to Dori’s Hilltop Haven! We’re a dog-loving family living on a quiet rural property in the hills of Gaston. We fenced this area for our crew who needed the room to run and play and now we’re happy to share it with others. The whole yard is fully fenced with 6ft non-climb and sits on a gentle slope with plenty of room for dogs to run, sniff and explore. The fenced area is near our house so it’s possible you’ll see us coming and going, but the yard itself is fully yours during your visit. Since we’re near the end of a private road we find that we are a great fit for reactive dogs, dogs in training, or anyone looking for a quieter place to let their dog run. We do our best to make sure you have everything you need out there during your visit - chairs, water bowl and hose, toys, poop bags and cots for the dogs that need a break. If there’s anything you think we’re missing don’t hesitate to message me! We’re really happy to share our space with you and hope your dogs love it as much as ours do. The wet season is here! Towels and boots would be advised. ☔️ 💦 🪏 We have a shovel near the entrance so you can refill any holes your dogs dig 🪏 Our place is peaceful and fun to explore. Great for dogs of all temperaments. We have a private parking area with a double gated system to keep everyone safe. Fully fenced area with beautiful views. A great space for all dogs with all energy levels. There is a large willow tree that provides amazing cool shade during the warm months and protection from the weather during rainy months. There is some standing water in parts of the fields during rainy seasons. Please pick up after your dogs. There are fruit trees on site. Feel free to take as much as you would like for yourself, your livestock or for compost! If you loved your visit, please share your experience with family and friends! **Interesting ecological fact if you see rainbow coloring on top of some of the standing water… it is NOT from chemicals or an oil slick. Here’s the explanation. 🙂 A common naturally occurring oily sheen originates from the seed cones of cypress trees. The cones usually fall into the water below the cypress, and an obvious rainbow sheen forms on the surface around the seed pod. In puddles of woodlands or around the edges of stagnant or very slowly moving water, it is common to find sheens covering the water in and about leaves and other vegetation. It is tempting to wonder what form of pollution resulted in the sheens, but the answer is microscopic - and natural. Tiny iron-loving bacteria of many types may be involved. A common tale is that some species of bacteria that live in areas with no oxygen (anaerobic conditions) get their energy by converting Ferric Iron (Fe III) to Ferrous Iron (Fe II) (chemists call this process reduction). As the Ferrous Iron moves through the ground water, it encounters water with oxygen, chemically fuses with the oxygen (chemists call this oxidation), then precipitates (separates from the water) and floats on the surface as a colorful sheen. There are species of bacteria that may help accelerate the oxidation process, and the most common is Theobacillis ferroxidans. At times, a significant area of the water’s surface may be covered and the sheen is as reflective as a mirror, having little rainbow-effect. It

Run your four legged family ragged in our 8 acer grass field at the foot of our gorgeous vineyard. With grape vines over a half-century old, Kristin Hill Winery is deeply rooted in the Eola-Amity Hills. Kristin Hill Winery embraces old-world wine-making styles with traditional European oak barrel-aging which builds depth and character while highlighting the grapes themselves. We have two designated gravel RV spots to the side of our field and we will sometimes have guests, with and without dogs. This is a working farm and we have crews and farm equipment that work much of the time. While you will be in a designated area it might be a little noisy from time to time. Update as we approach harvest: Fall is harvest time in the vineyard! With this we will be limiting our availability. Please reach out before booking if you would like to stay with us during this time(approximately September to end of October weather depending).
