Enjoy an enchanting Pacific Northwest rainforest adventure at Wonderlane World Famous Sniffspot for Dogs and Their Best Friends - Bring your friends and their dogs too! Unleash your dogs and frolic with your beloved friends in the lush embrace of our hilly Pacific Northwest natural rainforest. Wonderlane invites you and your best pals to explore 68 years of history across 2 acres of established trails, over 9 terraces, under towering old-growth trees, listening to the gentle murmur of a clear creek, accessible by your choice of 2 gates. Best for physically fit individuals due to steep grades. For security at arrival we require the Entrance Gate to be closed behind you. On the outside of the driveway Entrance Gate you will find the garbage bin for poo bags! From the parking area choose your path— the left or right trailhead gates —and meander down Flying Horse Lane or Tail Waggin' Lane to The Landing Pad, where trails weave into playful circles perfect for a game of ‘Hide and Go Seek’ or a chase! At the forest edge, Madhatter Lane invites you to a serene creek, a secret haven at our fully fenced sanctuary. For environmental reasons, the creek area is not fenced, therefore bring a leash for your dog(s) when going into that area. Our hilly forested land, a tapestry of guardrails, fences, gates, natural barriers, rolling trails, springs and creeks, sometimes steep, sometimes flat, is a haven for play. There is a 100-foot-long Stick Library! These hilly trails, originally created for horses, have been lovingly reclaimed from invasive brush and dead trees, now fun for paws and feet alike. We’ve ensured the future of this tranquil forest by planting more than 600 local tree saplings. The canopy of Hemlock, Douglas Fir, Western Red Cedar, Yew, BigLeaf Maple, and Alder, filled out as soon as there was more light. These trails whisper stories of the past. In the spring flowering bushes bloom from March through early June, in the summer lush frilly leaves decorate every breeze with greenery in motion, and in the fall in October the leaves magically turn yellow, orange, red, brown, and purple. Wonderlane is more than a place; it’s an experience—a Sniffspot designed with your dog’s joy in mind. While they dash through wood chips and Pacific Northwest duff, under ferns, and around bends, you’ll enjoy the views of a 20-acre forested wetland, a living vista of nature, and plenty of chairs to sit in. This forest is alive with the songs of songbirds - sparrows, finches, thrushes, grosbeaks, and a host of other birds, such as majestic American Bald Eagles are seen here. Walk, run, or pause on our soft wide well-drained sand or woodchip paths and let the forest’s secrets reveal themselves uniquely to you. We’ve spent more than six years crafting this haven, just a mile from the South Sound, for you and your friends to run, walk, sit, and revel in the company of your pups. And when the day’s adventures are done, two Starbucks await to refresh you, 3 minutes and 5 minutes away - remember puppercinos/pup cups are free. Join our community on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61556216197208 or by searching for “Wonderlane World Famous Sniffspot,” or ask a warm and friendly nearby AI to direct your browser to us, to see tails of joy. Wonderlane walks in the woods where nature’s heart beats, inviting you to breathe in the peaceful air, one paw print at a time! If your dog ever hesitates to leave, a ring of the Magic Chuck Waggin’ Triangle will bring them running back. Reminder in summer, or if visiting around twilight bring repellent or wear it when you drop into the forest, and if you choose, onto the creek area. (There are no fish in the creek because it is spring fed.) This Spot is best for physically fit individuals, but although we are disabled we enjoy it whenever there's time. If you need assistance or more info, please contact us directly. Keeping Wonderlane pristine is a collective effort, and we value your help in maintaining the beauty of our shared space! We can't do this without your help. Please use the usual household garbage bin marked 'Garbage' at the driveway entrance for disposal of poo bags. Please close water hydrants completely. Press the hydrant water handle all the way down into the completely closed position after use. If the water is not pressed completely closed, water continues to leak out the bottom of the hydrant unseen. Please close each gate. Dogs must be leashed going to and coming from the parking area, and may be unleashed when entering the dog park. We rely upon guests to contact us and tell us immediately if they need anything. To be fully fenced please roll shut the main gate after you park. There are also 2 sets of gates at the top of each trail to the Sniffspot. The forest area is fully fenced, some doubled. There are 2 gates that lead to the creek so you can control access. Please roll the Entrance gate into the OPEN and securely hooked position when you leave, thank you! Enjoy the forest’s magic at Wonderlane. Facebook https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61556216197208 --------------------------------------- Thank you to the many regulars, Sniffpass holders, and new guests who clean up after their dogs so very well! Proud of our community! Thank you for closing hydrants all the way so they do not leak out the bottom and cost us all money! PS some guests want the creek fenced too, which isn't possible due to environmental reasons. Otherwise please bring a leash to explore in that area. *********************************** Created in memory of Rosie Lane, beloved dog. *********************************** If Wonderlane Sniffspot is booked you might LOVE our sister Sniffspot site in the forest right outside Redmond, Washington - Magical Mossy Forest - 5 acres of trails and winter creek. https://www.sniffspot.com/listings/redmond-wa/magical-mossy-forest-69904

What a perfect expanse for you and your dogs to cut loose! In our fully fenced, gently rolling meadow there is plenty of room to run, chase frisbees and balls, dip paws in the pup-pool, and sniff around for the scents of nature. For humans, there is a cozy shelter with seating, a bistro table, and the entertainment of a frisbee "goal". There's shade from a large fir, in the meadow, as well as shade from the woods, on the south side. Fencing is at least 4 feet high, all around. It has a vision-block screen, a 4.8’ top wire, plus double fencing, on the side with neighbor dogs. If the neighbor's Goldens are out, they will friendly bark, and bark. They really want to come over and play. Surrounding Area: There are two private yards (one with an enclosed, screened chicken run, and one with friendly dogs); deep woods on the South side; and an incredible mountain view, over more meadow, on the West side. Sunsets from here are awe-inspiring! Parking: There is room for two vehicles to park near the gate to the Meadow. Please park only on gravel, do not drive on the lawn near the meadow, and do not drive into the fenced meadow area. If there are more than two vehicles in your party, please park up the hill in the gravel near the large, 4-car garage. LIMIT of 4 VEHICLES per reservation, unless organized in advance with us. There are four easy-closing gates in the fence, that are generally left open for wildlife passage. We will make every effort to have the gates closed before you arrive, but know that you're responsible for seeing that all 4 gates are closed before you unleash your pups. If you bring kids, you're also responsible for keeping them in the gates :D We hope you visit soon and come back often!

Pepper's Pasture in Gig Harbor
Beautiful sloped pasture with some woods at the lower end. 1.5 acres. If desired, you can drive right into the pasture and secure the gate behind you before letting your dog(s) loose. Extra cars/people are free, you pay per dog. The spot changes by the season. In summer, the grass grows tall and you can enjoy the shade of alders in the lower portion. (I haven't seen ticks but it's a good idea to keep up with flea/tick preventative meds or drops). A seasonal creek runs in winter and spring (take extra care if your dog isn't a swimmer). Towels provided for help with wetness and mud. Spigot/hose coming soon! Your dog may find the scent of deer where they've bedded down at night, though it's unlikely that any will be present for your visit. You will see that I've planted and protected some fruit trees, native plants, and more. There is also a u-pick garden inside the sniffspot with seasonal flowers, herbs, and veggies, bags and snips for helping yourself, and a venmo code and cash box for payments. A sheltered area allows you to sit in the shade or out of the rain, and that's where you'll also find most amenities, such as toys/balls and launchers, water, treats, towels, and baggies. Access: There are two driveways onto the property. Use the north entry, with the "Pepper's Pasture" sign. After driving up that driveway, you'll see a "Sniffspot" sign on the gate into the pasture. Construction/site work: we are building beside the driveway that leads to the sniffspot. If your experience is disturbed by activity at that site (it's infrequent but can be unpredictable and might be noisy), please contact me for a promo code for your next visit. You might see me and/or a helper gardening alongside the driveway--feel free to say hi, ask questions, or ignore us. Compostible donations are appreciated (the pile is outside of the spot and has a sign). Good things to compost include leaves, chemical-free grass clippings, used coffee grounds, rotten pumpkins, or veggie scraps. Feel free to keep my number on you--253-346-5863--for time-sensitive issues, but I try to be alert to messages via the sniffspot app as well. Farm event: May 9, 2026 pop-up sale with veggies, flowers, and gifts, not in the sniffspot but nearby: www.thehalfwild.com/events ...
