The Bark Park - Private Dog Park In Burlington’s South End

This is a private, fully fenced in backyard in the heart of Burlington’s South End. Walkable to downtown and the South end arts district, this little piece of Sanctuary is a fantastic private spot to let your pup sniff and run while you kick back on an Adirondack chair or lounger and enjoy the sunshine (or a rest in the shade!), check out the flower gardens, or have a nap in the hammock. There is a hose in the back, hooked up and running, and digging is permitted next to the hammock as well as in various spots around the yard. Basically, If theres no grass, then digging is fine, though I do request that you try to replace any dirt that gets moved around if it's not in a pre-established space. Poop bags are in a dispenser attached to the fence post on your left when you walk through the gate, as well as on two additional fence posts towards the back of the yard. Please be sure to pick up after your pet! I do my best to sweep the yard a few times a day, but sh*t happens! So, if you come across a stray nugget, please consider picking it up and paying it forward. : ) In the giant blue "Bark Box" next to the entry gate you will find all kinds of treasure including the following! - Dog first aid kit with styptic pads - Complimentary treats - Extra poop bags, and extra garbage bags for the poop bin. - Complimentary all natural bug spray for both you and your pet (human spray is sometimes on the glass table under the orange tent). - Complimentary toys (Usually they are in a bin under the orange tent so they aren't confused with the fresh, "take home" supply.) - Dog toys for take home play including brand new tennis balls, rope toys, squeaky toys, frisbees, and stuffies. If you get here and realize you would like to purchase a take home toy please feel free to venmo me @theparr (last four digits of my phone are #0908). Other Bark Park Amenities Include.... - Well lit at night by motion activated solar flood lights! These are mounted throughout the yard and will activate automatically when they sense movement and stay on for 30 seconds at a time, or for the duration of the movement. To save power, they switch off if they do not sense motion. - Doggo Swimming Pool (I try to keep this clean and filled between guests, but if its not clear and sparkly when you get here, feel free to drain it and fill it back up with the hose!). - Designated trash can next to the Big Blue Bark Box by the gate so you dont have to walk to the big bin in the driveway. - A long handled pooper scooper! (If you choose to use the scooper, please still bag your pet's poop before putting it in the bin!) There are chickens in the pen in the back of the yard who are used to dogs, so no worries if your pup can’t keep their eyes off the ladies, or end up rushing or barking at their pen. They are used to dogs and people, and chicken theater is a fantastic way to pass the time! I would love to add pictures of your doggos enjoying the yard, so if you snap a keeper please send it my way, or post it on your review. Feel free to message me with any questions you might have, or any extras you might like added, and I hope you enjoy your time! Thank you!

I brought my two dogs and they had an awesome time. The yard was fantastic, there was plenty of room for my dogs to run and sniff. The host was incredibly friendly and nice, very understanding of my one dog that barks! Her dogs were inside her house and my dogs didn't even seem to notice them. It was a great first experience for us. My pups had a great time and were pooped from running around. Can't wait to visit again soon!

Beautiful spot! My dog gets too excited with other people/dogs around but loves being in the woods, so this was the perfect place for her to run around off leash! Lots to explore and very peaceful. Excited to come back in other seasons too!

A beautiful spot for a nature walk with your dog! Was walkable for my six year old cousin with a tiny bit of help. It is a bit steep in places, and lots of roots/branches on the ground, but not enough to be a problem for most people or dogs. Gorgeous views of the river and even a place you can dip your feet if you want to. Would recommend for anyone looking for a medium challenge medium distance hike with their dog in a private place, a very peaceful spot!

Gorgeous new spot with open fields, forest and a pond! My labs of course took me right to it! Lawrence is very accommodating, he explained the whole property and even had a tent, chair and water and bowl for the dogs. Highly recommend this beautiful spot!

Great spot for a play date for a few dogs! The trail loop is quite short so we took it a couple of times, but the yard/field area is great for playtime. Julie was a great host and responded quickly to any questions I had!

My two dogs and I had a great time. Had to pick up someone else’s dog poop but I won’t hold that against anyone as it’s easy to miss as they’re running around.

The space was so pretty and great for our small dogs to run around and just enjoy the short grass (which was much appreciated) and all the fun places to explore. It was also a nice place to relax in the shade and look at the mountains after exhausting the pups.
