Christina's Fully Fenced Yard For Dogs To Rent In Arlington

Fully fenced, mostly grass(rather dry and crispy during summer) with a wood chip and dirt walking path around the outer edge of the ever-changing yard and a couple garden beds. It's relatively flat and great for fetching! There are neighbor dogs that may occasionally bark next door along with a nearby horse we can hear every once in a while, but other than that, it's pretty quiet. [edit: The neighbor dogs are out more often for summer and they have been a bit barky, so if your dog is reactive, my spot might be better one to visit when Fall gets here and the Dachshunds are back to just being indoors] There are many squirrels and birds that frequent the yard, along with at least one mole that wreaks a bit of havoc on the grass. I'd prefer no digging, but if your dog got a mole, I would probably not be that upset about a hole. We lost one of our dogs last year and our remaining dog seems bored with the yard. I'm hoping making our yard into a Sniffspot will give him some enrichment as well, sniffing all the new dogs who have visited the yard. So far, all the new sniffs have been very exciting for my little rescue gremlin. :)

Welcome to our Sniffspot! It’s a large, over 1/4 acre of fenced grassy pasture that feels secluded from the main property with plenty of trees to offer privacy. This is a space occasionally shared with our goats and cow and while we do our best to ensure the space is fully scooped in between sniffspot use and livestock use it’s possible you’ll find evidence of this. Part of the Sniffspot has tall grass and the rest of the space has shorter grass with the occasional dirt patch for digging and rolling around in. With enough space for playing fetch or frisbee, too, there’s a little something for everyone. There’s a large bucket of water and a spigot nearby if needed. If you’re looking for a big, grassy, secluded space with lots of sniffs to offer then you’ve come to the right place. Please note that our property can be difficult to find from the main road. This property is a walk under the canopy and in the sun. There are deer trails to go on and you will always find the road. Bring your boots during rainy season. Preferred parking is at the lower entrance (Red gate). The trail is 3/4 mile out and back with many off trail options. Learn about native plants from interpretive signs provided using resources from the Stillaguamish Tribe.

Welcome to our trails! These are wooded paths with some small hilly areas. Parking: On arrival, pull into the driveway and please park directly to your right in the grass. You will see a “guest parking sign” as well as an entrance sign and post with dog bags. Navigating the trail: On arrival, Keep your dog leashed unless they have perfect recall. Walk past the entrance sign and once you go through the first gate, you can let the pups off leash to run free. When you come to the very end you will find a gate with an “Exit” sign. Please leash back up at this point until you reach your car. (You may also come across gates that say “do not enter”… please don’t open these, you will no longer be fenced in.) You’re welcome to access the little seasonal creek but it is outside the fence line. Please shut that gate when you’re done using it. During the rainy months the trail can get muddy, we recommend boots for you and a towel for your dogs. In the spring and summer you will find wildflowers, and maybe even some berries! (Always only eat fruit you are 100% sure you can identify) In the fall and winter the leaves/foliage get sparse, so it’s easier to see the houses and properties through the woods, but the neighborhood is overall remote and quiet so it should still feel very private. Our dogs: We have 4 dogs that live here. They won’t have access to the area, but you might hear them bark when you arrive.

Fully fenced backyard in Lake Forest Park, just 1 mile northwest of Third Place Books at the Towne Centre. The yard is grass, and the covered porch under the balcony is cement. A variety of toys are available in a plastic bin on the porch labeled Sniffspot for any interested pups. Some lawn chairs are also available on the porch for any humans, and two water bowl are present for thirsty pups after some hard play :). Spigot is located on the south-facing wall between the porch and some rose bushes. An unoccupied dog house across the yard under the tallest tree is also available for pups to duck into and explore.
