The whole 3-acre is for you to enjoy, including the fenced-in meadow/arena, front and back around the house. Most of the land is flat and accessible. There are a couple of stairs and a small slope lead to my house and the back yard. I understand the significance of providing them with a safe space to unwind. Welcome to our Sniffspot! It’s a large, over 1/4 acre of fenced grassy pasture that feels secluded from the main property with plenty of trees to offer privacy. This is a space occasionally shared with our goats and cow and while we do our best to ensure the space is fully scooped in between sniffspot use and livestock use it’s possible you’ll find evidence of this. Part of the Sniffspot has tall grass and the rest of the space has shorter grass with the occasional dirt patch for digging and rolling around in. With enough space for playing fetch or frisbee, too, there’s a little something for everyone. There’s a large bucket of water and a spigot nearby if needed. If you’re looking for a big, grassy, secluded space with lots of sniffs to offer then you’ve come to the right place. Please note that our property can be difficult to find from the main road. Our house # sign is posted on a tree right outside the driveway and we have a lovely Japanese maple off the street. Ask us about our farm fresh eggs, too! :)

Pittie Pines Playground has a separate gate, so you can choose to use either area or both together. It is fully fenced and intentionally left more natural for your pup to explore, sniff, and enjoy. You may encounter native plants, sticks, uneven ground, trails, and other natural features not found in our open play area. 4/5 - Our expansion is halfway done. The fully fenced outside play area is now 45% larger. Come rain or shine, and play or train, in or out. We have covered parking for you, 800 square feet of covered, protected, and padded play area in our pole barn, and 1200 square feet (0.3 acres) of fully fenced and shaded outdoor play connected to the barn. The SniffSpot is very private and removed from the house. The inside area and the cleared outside area have lights so you can safely play late afternoons during the winter. Our secluded property is at the end of the road, yet close to town and just off the freeway. We provide toys for you to use while here, for large and small dogs, and for dogs with disabilities. Pig Beach (near Port Ludlow)

A .63 acre dog sanctuary for you and your pup. The yard is well maintained with dog friendly grass and has incredible views of the Hood Canal and Puget Sound. If you're interested, there is private beach access for you and your pup to explore miles of beach (public but almost always empty). There are numerous dog toys available and a massive 6+ person, dog friendly couch (late Spring to early Fall) you can relax on and watch the canal when you need a break! Regarding the beach, there are approximately 50 steps which you will need to climb up and down to access the beach so please wear proper footwear. As this is on the Hood Canal and not a lake or a pond, tides impact the size of the beach. If you are hoping to walk endless miles of beach, the tide will need to be at 2ft or below. Anything under 4ft will give you a massive area (probably 1/2 mile or more) and almost guaranteed private area as only people with stairs can access the beach at this tide level. Though the beach is open at any point, I think the maximum height you would probably want to go is about 6.5ft. This still gives you and your dog a decent sized area to play in (approximately 500ft by 30ft or 1/2 acre). Photos 16 and 17 show the beach at 6.25ft with a very large sandy area for you and your pup to play in. Anything above 6.5 ft is not recommended as the beach just gets thinner and thinner, but you're able to try if you want. (no refunds given if you don't like what you find). With that said, a 8 ft tide still gives you approximately 20 feet x 300 feet of beach to roam so you pup still has some room to explore and 9ft is approximately 10 feet x 30 feet. You are responsible for checking out the tides before you go. Legally, I can't recommend any specific source for you to use, but you might find good information Googling "tide chart port ludlow". Regarding ADA Accessibility, my property is on a gently sloping hill. To access it, there are 2 very wide concrete steps to get to the grass. This would be doable for someone on crutches and probably ok for a regular wheelchair if you had a second person to help lower you to each step and pull you up. It's definitely not accessible to a motorized wheelchair. Sorry. Note - restroom is only available if I'm home, otherwise there is one approximately 2 miles northwest at the gas station in Port Ludlow
