There are a few cows that you have to walk by to get to the fields but they are fenced and honestly our dogs didnt even notice. I will mention the host didnt think he was still on the site and was surprised when we showed up. He asked to see the confirmation. 55I visited John at his orchard last week! John is incredibly passionate about apples and one of the foremost grafting experts in the region. The orchard is on about 5 acres of land with the majority being rows of apple trees. Soba had an awesome time exploring the different smells in the area and we played fetch there as well. The orchard isn't fenced, but I was able to keep Soba close enough that this wasn't an issue. There are also some chickens and goats that are in a separate area, but may be best to not have a pup with a strong prey drive there. Wear your boots if it rained recently; it is a farm so it could get muddy!David A.
