What people say about indoor dog parks around Haw River, North Carolina
My dogs love to run at this farm. There are two locations less than a mile apart from each other. One is the off leash unused farm land with open fields, a swimming pond, and wooded areas. The other location is the very pretty wedding venue spot where the dogs need to be leashed as there are horses and free roaming peacocks.
We love this spot as it has plenty of room to throw a tennis ball! Especially great since our dog is dog reactive and it can be hard to get all her energy out when you have to worry about other dogs.
Great fenced in area for your pups! This was our first time visiting and won’t be our last! Our pups loved it
We arrived and parked all the way down at the barn. Our labs immediately took off running towards the water. They splashed and played, it was great! It’s also a nice, wide-open area for them to run and be free.
My dogs really loved the property. They had the best time wading in the pond and running around. It had the perfect amount of shaded areas and sunny spots for both my dogs and me. Thank you for letting us visit. I'd recommend this Sniffspot location.
Perfect spot for our 2 to run and play. They loved the water and all the space to roam and explore. This was our first time using the app, didn't know what to expect but definitely a great space.
Loved this spot for my puppy! Allowed him the chance to explore water for the first time and not be too deep! Really enjoyed the privacy and sweet touches of treats, toys and the water hose♥️
Great spot and good space! Of course, our cattle dog mix ran straight for the front gate, the one spot he could get out as it doesn’t close completely. Still a great time.
we left a little early because of the rain but my dogs loved it !! big space for them to run around and play! they loved the pond ! will come back !! the owner is so nice !
Perfect little pond for my water loving retriever to play fetch! Lots of space to run and sniff too. There is a gap in the fence up by the front, but all of the fun stuff is near the back of the property so I didn’t find it to be an issue at all. The pupper had so much fun and we will definitely be back, thank you for a wonderful spot!
This is the perfect little nook to take your pup to swim! She really enjoyed this property!! We will definitely be back
Beautiful, shady back yard! Jaye is kind and welcoming. My dogs had a great time and so did I :)
It was so nice and clean! We had a blast swimming with our pups! We have two bigger dogs we don’t get to take out that much because they aren’t the best behaved so to get to take them somewhere private to swim and run around was awesome!!! Definitely coming back to this spot! It was literally a little pup paradise!
First sniffspot experience & it was so amazing, my pups (who are quite reactive) had so much fun exploring a new place without the stress of running into other pups 💞 They also had toys, treats, towels, a water bowl, & poo bags for us which was so nice!
Arlo had a blast jumping into the pool over and over and over. Plenty of space for him to sniff and take pee breaks but he is a water dog and the pool was perfect.
Great place! My dogs enjoyed the pool so much. Would definitely recommend to everyone. I really appreciated the life jackets and toys that were available to use!
What an amazing space! Our pup loved his pool time. The pool and whole yard were very clean and well kept. It felt very private. We will be coming back!
We had the most amazing day here! Couldn’t recommend this Sniffspot enough! They had everything we needed including life jackets, floating toys, towels, and treats. Beautiful yard too! We’ve always wanted to swim with our pup but have never had the opportunity until now. Thank you so much for an unforgettable time!
We had such a fun time here and even though our guy was afraid of the stairs he enjoyed swimming once in the water😂 the yard was beautiful as well and they had out extra toys, towels and water!
This spot is 100% what I’ve been looking for! My dog that swims loved it and my dog that would rather not, enjoyed exploring the yard and hanging out in the shade. This is a great spot and I will be back again.
What other types of private dog parks are available?
Dog water parks
Many hosts have added water features like pools and/or are nearby lakes or rivers.
While public dog parks have a number of safety issues, such as aggressive dogs, disease transmission and general cleanliness, Sniffspot dog parks are much safer than public dog parks. With Sniffspot all bookings are private for just you and dogs you bring with you and we require all dogs to be vaccinated (or have equivalent titers). All Sniffspot locations are vetted and reviewed by park users so you can find the perfect safe place for you and your dog. 93% of reviews on Sniffspot visits are 5 stars. Since indoor dog parks are completely enclosed, this adds another level of safety for your pup.
How do I know if an indoor dog park works for my dog?
Start by applying basic filters, such as distractions, to find a dog park that works for your furry friends. If your dog doesn't respond to owner commands, indoor dog parks are a good choice due to their fully enclosed nature. If your dog is reactive to other dogs, you can visit one of our indoor dog park sites where there are no dogs audible or visible nearby. You can see any park amenities provided, including a park bench, water for dogs or water features such as kiddie pool or water hose. If your dog loves water, you can go to a park with water features, but if they don't love water, you can avoid them. We also recommend reading reviews to check for park maintenance issues and reaching out to the host with any questions. And lastly, of course, check park hours. Many of our parks are open from dawn until dusk.
What are the requirements to bring my dog to a Sniffspot park?
We require that all dogs have basic vaccinations or equivalent titers. We do not allow dogs with a bite history. We require that owners sign our waiver and agree to follow our safety rules. We also require that pet owners follow safety protocols around water features.
Will there be other dogs at the Sniffspot park at the same time as me?
No. We only allow one booking at a time and any host dogs are required to be kept away from the area during visits. So when you book a Sniffspot park you have the entire place to yourself and your dog-owning friends if you invite them. We also enforce 30 min time buffers between bookings so you will not run into other park patrons when coming or leaving.
Can I have an event or party at an indoor dog park?
If you are planning an amazing indoor dog park party, each Sniffspot park has their own rules regarding special events. Many parks allow doggie birthday parties, training, water parties and other event types. Event organizers need to be responsible for their guests and event organizers should coordinate with the host regarding their fun party. Make sure the park has amenities you need for your party, such as a park with lots of picnic tables with park benches.
