The "Maplewood Farm" Dog Park (5-acres!)

Fully Fenced
5 acres

Welcome to the “Maplewood Farm” Dog Park -- a peaceful 5-acre nature escape in south Maplewood near Battle Creek, just minutes from I-94 and McKnight. Set among rolling hills, mature trees, wooded trails, open field space, and natural wildlife, this spot gives dogs a private place to run, sniff, explore, and decompress away from crowded dog parks. For history buffs, the property also has a barn built in 1896 that, to my knowledge, is the only standing barn in Maplewood still in its original form. The main fenced play area is approx. 60 ft x 100 ft and is great for off-leash play, fetch, tug with the spring pole, and burning off energy. I also recently added a water-play area inside the fenced area with a kiddie pool and sprinklers. You can even rinse or bathe your pup on the grass with the sprayer -- just bring your own shampoo. For a good visit, I recommend spending the first part of your time in the fenced area, then leashing your pup for a slower sniff walk around the rest of the property. From the fenced area, you can follow the small back gate into the wooded trail system, loop toward the campfire area and barn, then continue north through the more mature trees before circling back toward the open field. Signs are posted to help guide you. My favorite spot is the open field, where young aspen trees whisper on windy days and the evening sunset can be beautiful. Best times to visit: Mornings and early evenings are usually best for active dogs, especially during warmer weather. Afternoons can get hot, but the water-play area is available, and the shaded wooded trails are nice for slower sniff walks. Around 8pm, you can often enjoy a quiet sunset with a hammock nearby -- a peaceful way for both dogs and humans to wind down. Some guests also come after sundown for highly reactive dogs who need extra stillness, and LED collars make them fun to watch across the yard. As a dog lover and builder, I’m always improving the space with more enrichment features and amenities. This spot is especially great for dogs who need space and privacy, working breeds with energy to burn, training practice, or owners who simply want a quiet place where their dog can be a dog. Future upgrades include agility-style features, more shade, a comfy campfire area, and possibly a quick-rinse dog bath booth. I usually like to briefly greet new visitors, especially to help orient you to the property on your first visit. That said, I also understand that some dogs need complete space and some guests prefer privacy. If you have a highly reactive dog or would rather have a no-contact visit, please message me at least a day ahead of time and I’ll stay inside. I opened this Sniffspot in May 2026 and welcome feedback as I keep improving the space for dogs and their people. 🐾 🐾 Valeng and friends 🐾 🐾

These locations range from compact spaces to properties spanning 5+ acres. Whether you need a space for your reactive dog, puppy socialization, senior dog gentle exercise, or high-energy play, Cambridge indoor dog parks provide safe, private environments. Filter for "fewer dogs seen/heard," specific amenities, or fencing types to find your perfect match.

How many indoor dog parks are in Cambridge?

Cambridge offers 3 indoor dog parks ranging from compact spaces to properties spanning acres. You'll find options such as fully fenced dog park, dog agility park, small dog park, and more. Each Cambridge indoor dog park listing shows detailed photos, amenities, fencing specs, and reviews from local dog owners.

Are Cambridge indoor dog parks good for all dog types?

Yes! Cambridge indoor dog parks work for every dog: puppies learning socialization, senior dogs needing gentle exercise, small dogs who feel safer without large breeds, high-energy dogs requiring space, and reactive or anxious dogs needing privacy. The completely private bookings mean each dog gets the environment they need. Browse Cambridge's 3 options to find spaces matching your dog's specific temperament and needs.

Will I encounter other dogs at Cambridge indoor dog parks?

Not a chance. Cambridge indoor dog parks operate on a strict one-booking-at-a-time system, so the space is entirely yours during your reserved slot. Host dogs are kept away, and there's a mandatory 30-minute buffer between bookings—meaning you won't cross paths with the previous or next guest. For Cambridge owners with reactive dogs, puppies, or any dog needing privacy, this makes all the difference in providing safe, stress-free exercise.

Are Cambridge indoor dog parks safe for fearful or anxious dogs?

Yes! Cambridge indoor dog parks provide controlled, predictable environments without the chaos of public dog parks. Since bookings are completely private with 30-minute buffers, anxious dogs can explore a climate-controlled facility with protective flooring where dogs can exercise off-leash year-round without overwhelming encounters. Many Cambridge dog owners specifically choose indoor dog parks for fearful dogs who need gentle, stress-free exercise environments.

Can puppies use Cambridge indoor dog parks?

Absolutely! Cambridge indoor dog parks are excellent for puppy socialization because they're private and controlled. Puppies can explore a climate-controlled facility with protective flooring where dogs can exercise off-leash year-round, practice recall, and build confidence without the overwhelming chaos that can create fear or reactivity in young dogs. Just ensure your puppy has age-appropriate vaccinations before visiting.

How do I choose the best indoor dog park in Cambridge?

Start by filtering Cambridge's 3 indoor dog parks for your specific needs: secure fencing for escape artists, "fewer dogs seen/heard" for reactive dogs, flat terrain for seniors, appropriate sizing for small dogs, or specific amenities for training. Look for "Top Spots" like Cambridge's Indoor, Climate-Controlled Dog Training Facility in Inver Grove Heights! with excellent reviews.Read feedback from other Cambridge owners with similar dog types to find your perfect match.

What are Cambridge's indoor dog park requirements?

All dogs must have basic vaccinations or titers. Each Cambridge host may have additional rules on their listing. Most indoor dog parks welcome all breeds, sizes, and temperament levels, including reactive dogs who can't safely visit public dog parks. Adult supervision is required at all times.
