March 5, 2025: We will be open for the next several days with the new snowfall. Once the snow disappears, we will close up again. February 24, 2025: Due to rapid snow melt, the yard will need to be closed until we get colder temperatures. A large, open 1.25 acre fenced in yard with multiple small hills that is bordered on the west side by a public walking trail (with 6 foot fence) and on the north side by Rice Creek (with 5 foot fence). Note that the creek is not directly accessible from the Sniffspot. During the winter months, deer and foxes pass just outside of the fenced in yard, while in warmer months the creek entices additional wildlife as well as the occasional canoeist or kayak. Agility equipment pictured are available during the warmer months and are not available in the winter. There's abundant street parking as we are located at a dead-end. Welcome to our safe haven! I am the proud mama of and caregiver for reactive, fearful, and special needs dogs. We built this yard specifically for fence jumpers and dogs that need and deserve a quiet and private space to play. Our yard is spacious, wooded, and green with full 8ft privacy fencing including inwardly-angled fence extenders. Doggie extras: get ready for wooded trails, “barkour” obstacles, the perfect grassy bowl for fetch, agility jumps and tunnels, a tennis ball bit, splash pool in the summer, and so much more. For the humans - we hope you’ll enjoy our Adirondack chairs and when it’s warm, our hammock chairs and swing set. Our backyard is fertilizer and pesticide free, and we use pet-safe biodegradable salt in the winter on the driveway.

Off leash, privacy, play time for you, you/family, and of course, your beloved dog(s) Squirrels and rabbits pass through the dog park. My beloved miniature little brown poodle, Morty Mocha Wonka, once captured a fast rabbit in the side yard park that was bigger than himself, thus, Elvis Presley became his friend, and Morty was no longer a “Hound Dog” For warm or hot sunny days, the Red Maple Tree in the play area will provide you with instant shade, and it is the perfect spot for provided chair(s) where you can throw optional provided numerous rubber ball toys to your dog(s) to play fetch & retrieve. Perhaps your dog(s) would like to take a run thru the 12 ft nylon agility tube, the adjustable garden hose nozzle will provide you the option to relieve yourself(s) and dog(s) with a cold refreshing mist, including sanitized stainless steel water dish(es) at your disposal, For clean up, towels, hand sanitizer & plastic small poop bags are at your disposal with a trash can to get rid of anything undesirable. It would make me very happy to know your dog(s) are enjoying the converted side yard private dog park, as my beloved dogs did, especially my white standard poodle Buddy, who the dog park is named after. He loved to crouch down (because one time the ball hit him) by the pine trees and the very tall 20-30 ft high arborvitaes that line the west wood perimeter fence, as he waited for me to throw a rubber ball to him, that he would eagerly fetch and return to me. A nice big backyard, in a moderately quiet corner of Richfield. Plenty of room for some zoomies or fetch! ❗️recently added some DIY agility equipment We’re near to the airport, two preschools, apartments, and Target. The privacy fence blocks most of the visuals, but it can get a bit noisy with kids playing and planes overhead. There’s a couple neighborhood dogs, a few bark from inside their homes. We have a resident cat who will occasionally snooze in the window sill. ⚠️ the neighbor dog has recently become an escape artist and will wander over from across the street to sniff the green space next to our yard. If your pup is dog reactive, this might not be the spot for you.

Fully fenced: 1 side privacy fence, 2 sides chain link, and one side with the house and gate. Place bagged poop in the small garbage bin. Please do not allow pups to dig or to enter the small separately fenced garden. Spring 2024 the yard is very tender with grass trying to recover from last year's drought, if you remember, it helps to throw "fetch" in lots of different directions to spread out the "wear and tear." Added FYI: Same day bookings will probably have the bedtime and morning 💩 from my pups since I routinely only pick up after work during warm months. If you book 24+ hours in advance I can squeeze in an extra poo pickup before work. *WINTER I pick up weekly, weather-permitting, so might not be a great spot for pups who eat poopsicles--you know who you are!

Great place for our three puppers! Thank you so much! They had so much fun sniffing everything around the whole, huge perimeter, running, eating grass, and marking up a storm for other dogs to discover. Lol. Thank you for the fresh water jugs and for providing bags, a covered trash can, balls to throw, and agility equipment. It was clean and safe. Our dogs are all tired out now. We'll definitely be back! Nice large yard in a beautiful setting on the creek. Tons of toys and agility equipment, but my dog was more interested in just sniffing around :) A much less stressful way to get her some exercise and not have to deal with strange dogs at the dog park! Thank you!

Great as always! Love the privacy screens blocking the walking trail from view. Loved the agility equipment out for the summer and my dog was brave enough to try them out! Gus gave it a 10/10 for sniffability!

Fergie and I had a wonderful time tonight. I'm so glad there was a larger kiddie pool because she's all about the water! I don't know if you can or not but would love to be able to get in the creek that's over the fence. We brought our own Chuckit toy but there were already three of them there plus other balls and Frisbees. Fergie wanted nothing to do with the agility course but will try again next time because we will definitely be back! This place is beautiful. We saw an albino squirrel and a deer when we first got there! We played fetch for an hour and now she's in the backseat snoozing away on the way home! Thank you for the great spot Tony!

This is our first visit to a Sniff Spot, so we have nothing to compare it to, but we thought it was great! Nice large fenced in area with agility equipment, plenty of water and clean bowls. This is a fantastic space and was our first experience with Sniff Spot. The directions were clear and the house is signed well. The space is quite large, has tons of activities and even had water and water bowls available. Everything is organized well, and it exceeded our expectations. Highly recommend. Great place! The road noise is actually a plus for one of our dogs, and the privacy fabric on the public path fence is perfect. Lots of space to run with toys and agility equipment to keep the dogs occupied. We appreciated the bowls and fresh water. We’ll be back!

While public off-leash dog parks have a number of safety issues, such as aggressive dogs, inattentive owners, disease transmission and general cleanliness, Sniffspot dog parks are much safer than city parks. Sniffspot only allows one booking at a time and any host dogs are required to be kept away from the spot during visits. We also enforce 30 min time buffers between bookings.
