What people say about fully fenced dog parks around Clyde, Texas
My friend and I enjoyed our time at Savannah's. Despite being first responders and day sleepers they were still gracious to us. The area is very small, but it was perfect for our meet and greet.
This was a much needed stop to stretch our legs during a road trip! The host was very kind in helping us find the spot, she came out to the gate to make sure we got there. It was mostly fenced but probably not secure for a small dog. Just note that along one side the neighboring dogs barked a lot when they saw us- there was a second fence separating them so they were not particularly close but would still run along their fence line barking when we were on that side. You could also see horses and goats. Along the fence near the entrance side there were cows in that pasture- just some things to keep in mind if your dog is more sensitive to those things!
The property was very nice! Nice loop trail to loop around and the folks there were super nice when we met. The little pond was all dried up due to the extreme heat/ drought this summer. My dogs still had a lovely time! Fencing was good but my little dog could have gone through if given the chance. No problem! Kept him on a flexi lead anyway. Look forward to coming here again!!
Great yard, large and the fence is secure. There's chairs to sit in and a water bowl for the dog. The concrete porch is shaded and cool, perfect for your pup to lay down on to cool off after running around on a hot day.
Nice property, well fenced. Good communication. We didn’t have an issue with the mentioned burrs with short haired dogs, only one dog got a few on her collar.
Do be aware there is a resident cat but he very quickly disappeared when he saw a few large dogs.
Our dogs had a great time running around the property. The yard was fully fences with no holes or areas for our dogs to get out. The host was responsive and communicative through the whole process. Everything as advertised. When walking out in the wooded area we picked up a lot of small stickers (not spikey ones) that stuck to our shoes, but the host left brushes out for the dogs which helped get them off. Would go back!
Jonnie was a welcoming and accommodating host for our reactive dog. The property is beautiful and so peaceful. We had a wonderful, relaxing time with our two kids and pup, who thought she’d won the lottery being able to romp freely off leash like a true country dog. We will be back!
This was our first time using Sniffspot and we will 100% be coming back to this location! It was amazing for our dogs to be able to have space to roam and run! Jonnie was awesome and attentive. Can’t wait to see what he does to his place :)
Great place to let your dogs run. I have one who isn’t social with strangers but it was very comfortable having her off leash there and lots to do for two hours without ever getting near the owner’s home and his pups. Bring a chair and sit up towards the top and it’s gorgeous with a nice breeze. The dogs never ran out of new places to explore.
The fence is great. There was only one small spot they could see livestock, a cow and some goats, and there was two fences and lots of space between them.
Gorgeous property with stunning views of the valley. They are a super amazing host. If you have dogs that love to explore this is definitely where you should go.
Love this spot! It’s completely fenced and the owner is super friendly. They have big plans for this property and I cannot wait to share this location with friends and family!
The host is amazing. He met us at the gate and gave us a little guidance on the layout. But also, he interacted with my dog and so did one of his dogs. It was a big relief for me, since my dog is new to us, and also was a bit hyper from waiting for his neutering recovery. And well, I just wasn't sure if he was reactive to dogs and people. He was barking a lot at my neighbors, while adjusting to our home. I was nervous for him. BUT ... my dog did great. And host gave me his well-informed opinion as well: My dog is not reactive and seems just fine. So, for me, that was an enormous relief and I so much appreciate the host taking that effort with a new owner of a big, hyper dog.
The place is huge. Tons of wildflowers. Great views. Wonderful hike.
Suggest wearing hiking shoes and perhaps bringing a hiking stick.
I did take some water and my dog appreciated that while on the hike.
Puppy paradise indeed! Our dogs’ favorite place….we’ve made the trip from Austin twice already. So much space for running and fetching to their hearts’ delight. Trails, woodlands and open fields. Jonnie is super helpful and accommodating, has exciting plans and a good heart for dogs. We’ll be back for sure!
Very nice and accommodating! A large area for our puppy to run around and train. A great location for dummy launcher training for our GSP.
We had an absolutely amazing time. I brought my 2 year old ACD mix and we had an absolutely blast. Jonnie was not only accomodating but extremely friendly and a wonderful host. We will definitely be back!
What an awesome property and an awesome guide. Jonnie showed me the entire property as we walked with the dogs so I knew my way around, and the dogs had their best time. They're all sleeping (except Penny), and happy. I'm going to be a regular starting now. What a fun experience! Thank you!
Couldn’t ask for a better place for your dogs to have an adventure and exploring. Jonnie was accommodating, friendly, and only wants to make sure visitors have a good time. Highly recommend this place. I booked an hour and a half and my dogs ran so much in the first 30 minutes that they were absolute toast with an hour to go.
Gracious and kind host, lots of wooded and open acreage for you and the pups to explore, including nice views from higher elevations on the property. The doggo and I had a great time, highly recommend.
Jonnie was really nice. Blue had fun running, exploring, sniffing and playing catch. Blue was happy. And the view is beautiful.
Our favorite spot. My dogs get so excited when we pull up, they just love it. Lots to sniff and explore!
What other types of private dog parks are available?
Dog water parks
Many hosts have added water features like pools and/or are nearby lakes or rivers.
While public dog parks have a number of safety issues, such as aggressive dogs, inattentive owners, disease transmission and general cleanliness, Sniffspot dog parks are much safer than public dog parks. Human and animal safety is our #1 focus. Without a private option, many dog owners are relegated to using athletic fields or tennis courts for their dogs, which are not private or safe. With Sniffspot all bookings are private for just you and dogs you bring with you and we require all dogs to be vaccinated (or have equivalent titers). All Sniffspot locations are vetted and reviewed by guests so you can find the perfect place for you and your dog. 93% of reviews on Sniffspot visits are 5 stars. And with fully fenced Sniffspot parks, you can get the safety of a fenced-in space for dogs, while still having plenty of space to run.
How do I know if a fully fenced dog park works for my dog?
Many people looking for fully fenced parks have dogs that are not good with voice control. Start by applying basic filters, such as fences height and distractions, to find a dog park that works for your dog. You can see attributes of fences such as height, gaps and fencing type to find the perfect fenced-in space for dogs. You can filter by size to make sure you have plenty of space, or a smaller space if you prefer a neighborhood park. You can browse on a map by park location to find one in your city or near your city. If your dog is reactive to other dogs, you can visit one of our off-leash areas where there are no dogs audible or visible near the space. Make sure to review the amenities of the spot to check features you want for your activity, such as fresh water, trail features such as soft trails or walking trails, or even water fountains. If you prefer wood chips, many of our parks have wood chips or indoor space if you prefer a beautiful park building.
What are the requirements to bring my dog to a Sniffspot fully fenced dog park?
We require that all dogs have basic vaccinations or equivalent titers. We do not permit use by pregnant dogs and we do not permit dogs with a bite history. We require that guests sign our waiver and agree to follow our safety rules, such as staying within the designated off-leash areas. Each park location also has their own set of rules that guests need to follow, such as limiting excessive barking.
Will there be other dogs at the Sniffspot fully fenced dog park at the same time as me?
Sniffspot only allows one booking at a time and any host dogs are required to be kept away from the spot during visits. We also enforce 30 min time buffers between bookings.
