Puppers Pollinator Path and Prairie Sanctuary with Dig Zone in Elkhart

Fully Fenced
2 acres

We have a Pollinator Path and Prairie Sanctuary with Sensory Fun including a Dig Zone for your puppers. We have a fenced in Backyard for you and your puppers enjoyment. The backyard is around 6900 square feet of off leash fun. We have additional attractions coming as the summer progresses. The Pollinator Path is close to .5 miles in 2 acres. It is a mowed path and your dogs are welcome to be on long lead throughout the area. There is wildlife and infrequently a domesticated animal neighbor that might try to join you. Safety is key. I will have long leashes available to borrow! As in any prairie and pollinator area, there may be thorns, raspberries and poison ivy off the path. In the backyard there is plenty of shaded seating on the patio so you can relax while zoomies, sniffs and yayas are being fulfilled. Pookie and Belvedere (as well as their humans) may be in the house when your dogs are here. But, they will keep all their 4-legged fun inside so your dog (or dogs) can enjoy the space.

Frequently asked questions about Grinnell dog fields

Where can I find dog fields in Grinnell?

Grinnell has 9 private dog fields available through Sniffspot, offering full-speed running and fetch in completely private settings. These locations range from compact spaces to properties spanning 10+ acres. Whether you need a space for your reactive dog, puppy socialization, senior dog gentle exercise, or high-energy play, Grinnell dog fields provide safe, private environments. Filter for "fewer dogs seen/heard," specific amenities, or fencing types to find your perfect match.

How many dog fields are in Grinnell?

Grinnell offers 9 dog fields ranging from compact spaces to properties spanning acres. You'll find diverse options: fully-fenced for escape artists, indoor climate-controlled for year-round use, swimming pools for hot days, agility courses for training, and more. Each Grinnell dog field listing shows detailed photos, amenities, fencing specs, and reviews from local dog owners.

Are Grinnell dog fields good for all dog types?

Yes! Grinnell dog fields work for every dog: puppies learning socialization, senior dogs needing gentle exercise, small dogs who feel safer without large breeds, high-energy dogs requiring space, and reactive or anxious dogs needing privacy. The completely private bookings mean each dog gets the environment they need. Browse Grinnell's 9 options to find spaces matching your dog's specific temperament and needs.

Will I encounter other dogs at Grinnell dog fields?

Not a chance. Grinnell dog fields operate on a strict one-booking-at-a-time system, so the space is entirely yours during your reserved slot. Host dogs are kept away, and there's a mandatory 30-minute buffer between bookings—meaning you won't cross paths with the previous or next guest. For Grinnell owners with reactive dogs, puppies, or any dog needing privacy, this makes all the difference in providing safe, stress-free exercise.

Are Grinnell dog fields safe for fearful or anxious dogs?

Yes! Grinnell dog fields provide controlled, predictable environments without the chaos of public dog parks. Since bookings are completely private with 30-minute buffers, anxious dogs can explore a large, open grass area where dogs can run at full speed and play fetch without overwhelming encounters. Many Grinnell dog owners specifically choose dog fields for fearful dogs who need gentle, stress-free exercise environments.

Can puppies use Grinnell dog fields?

Absolutely! Grinnell dog fields are excellent for puppy socialization because they're private and controlled. Puppies can explore a large, open grass area where dogs can run at full speed and play fetch, practice recall, and build confidence without the overwhelming chaos that can create fear or reactivity in young dogs. Just ensure your puppy has age-appropriate vaccinations before visiting.

How do I choose the best dog field in Grinnell?

Start by filtering Grinnell's 9 dog fields for your specific needs: secure fencing for escape artists, "fewer dogs seen/heard" for reactive dogs, flat terrain for seniors, appropriate sizing for small dogs, or specific amenities for training. Look for "Top Spots" like Grinnell's Ronnie's 1 Acre Fully Fenced Private Dog Park In Newton with excellent reviews.Read feedback from other Grinnell owners with similar dog types to find your perfect match.

What are Grinnell's dog field requirements?

All dogs must have basic vaccinations or titers. Each Grinnell host may have additional rules on their listing. Most dog fields welcome all breeds, sizes, and temperament levels, including reactive dogs who can't safely visit public dog parks. Adult supervision is required at all times.
