Outdoor seating for humans and raised and shaded dog bed available for breaks. Fetch! Pet Care of Charlottesville offers personalized in-home pet care services from 30 min. visits to 24-hr overnight care in the client’s home. We also offer private in-home boarding. When our owner’s property is not booked for boarding, the yard is available to book for use on Sniff Spot.

This is a hay field. Entire field MAY or MAY NOT be mowed. Feel free to message first if that is a concern. We do keep pathways mowed. There are a few visible houses. Cows and horse in adjacent field.

A 26 acre small farm, mostly forested/undeveloped with over a mile of flagged, cleared trails for you and your pooch to get some exercise and lots of interesting sniffs! Stoney Run, a small stream, traverses the property, and is accessible from several trail locations. As a circuit you will walk over a couple of miles just on the trail. The rest of the 26 acres is also free to roam, but typically tree covered. The farm animals can be fenced in an acre area, as requested. Our dogs can easily be put inside and our Pyrenees detained, if your pooch isn’t interested or ready for that sort of interaction. Typically our big guy, Titan, is the best part of our visiting dog’s experience. But that will be left entirely up to you. You can hit the trails and chase some squirrels , or play with Titan, or mix it up with a variety of the two as most of our guests tend to do. Our beautiful, forested Shenandoah Valley parcel will be yours to sniff about freely.

We selectively open our dog friendly yard on a per day basis (6 hours = $90). Shade and sun, digging and sleeping, zoomies and cuddles, we got ya! We are pet positive and flow your trained prompts. Only one or two families at a time with loads of love from us!

I’m a dog trainer and I run a dog boarding/daycare from my home (hence all the different fenced spaces). When possible, daycare and boarding dogs will be taken indoors during your visit so that you and your pup can have uninterrupted time to play/work together in a quiet environment. This is not always feasible depending on the day/time of your visit and our schedule on any given day. Check in advance if your dog does not do well if they see/hear other dogs, people, or cars. The main SniffSpot is currently about 7,000 sq ft in our side field, which is perfect for running, playing fetch, working on recall and other obedience commands, and is full of smells to sniff out. I have an acre field and an acre of woods that is great for fetch and playing. It borders Interstate 64 and Miller School Road, and is currently unfenced. Please note that while it is unfenced, there is ample room to be away from the roads, but I would not advise having a dog known to run off leash here. I will keep my dog inside the house while you are here and you are free to park anywhere along the driveway or beside my vehicles.
