55This Sniffspot was incredible! The property is HUGE, and my dogs absolutely loved every second of it. It honestly felt like we were on our own private hike, except they could be safely off leash and run as much as they wanted, which they definitely did! They sprinted up and down the giant hill so many times that they eventually wore themselves out.
They had an absolute blast splashing and swimming in the creek. Part of it was deep enough that I discovered Deuce can actually swim! 👏 Both of them loved the water so much that I ended up walking through the creek with them, and it made the experience even more fun.
This was easily a 10/10 experience. We’ll absolutely be back, and I’ll definitely be recommending this Sniffspot to anyone looking for a safe, beautiful place to let their dogs explore, run, and just be dogs. Thank you for sharing such an amazing property!Julia B.

55We had a great time ! Fields and forrest to let the dogs roam. We didn’t really know where to go so I’m sure we missed a bit but what we did do sure did tire us out. A nice camp spot with picnic tables and fire pit to relax at after a nice long walk ! The host was very responsive and helpful ! Allison R.

55Lovely property. It was quiet and peaceful, with no other people or dogs. I wasn't entirely sure where to go, but generally enjoyed finding my way around. Thanks!Michael T.

55For anyone wanting to catch up with friends while walking their dog, this is the place to go. Due to recent rains, we found some portions of the trail too slippery and lost sight of where the trail was at times but enjoyed the parts we did get to see. It was fun to sit at the old campground just to chat and enjoy snacks with our dogs. Joann K.

55Ourselves and our dogs had a wonderful time at fern park!! It’s a wonderful property and I can’t thank the owner enough for renting out his land. The dogs LOVED all the natural water sources and wooded trails. They also loved checking out the old buildings. There was so much space it was super easy to pick a spot to let them off leash to really run without running into any roads or other property’s or other animals save some deer. All in all we had a fantastic time and will definitely come again. Liberty T.

55This is seriously the most wonderful place! We only booked an hour and I wished we had booked more (we will next time!) I did wear hiking boots and im glad I did- it’s HUGE here! So much room for the dogs to run and play, we didn’t see or hear a soul except some hawks and birds and frogs! The creek is gorgeous with clear water. The dogs went frog hunting (those frogs are fast!) and got a little wet but it’s not deep at all and so beautiful. The grass is green and soft. The trees are humongous and so wonderful to walk through- it felt like I was in the Redwoods! (On a smaller scale but ohhhhh just fabulous!) I feel so thankful to have experienced this today with my two beasts. We felt very safe here. The road was far far away. They had an amazing time and didn’t want to leave! Thank you for sharing this with us, Ari! Denise E.

55So large, lots of directions to wander, shallow creek for the dogs, far from the road, absolutely perfect. Could’ve spent hours and it still wouldn’t have been enough.Alexandra F.

55We finally made it for a 2hr adventure. My 4yr old Jackson. was in heaven as he emptied the toy bag in the creek so he and his brother could save them all before they disappeared around the bend! The only one that got away was hidden in a field on the walk in. To excited, running free, chasing down the many new smells, Jackson lost track of his hiding space. Little guy Doobie, his 1yr old "not my brother", he hit the ground. 4 on the floor, 4 in the air, nose to the ground or high in the air, leaps and bounces, twists and turns, sudden stops just to stare and stalk, he drops to the ground, his legs tightly tucked underneath, his snout pressed against the ground. Motionless, and silent, sooo ready to pounce on the next thing to move! Lookout Jackson !
The drive home Jackson was asleep with his eyes open, (keep the dream going?) Doobie? Still quivering with excitement. Bouncing from window to window, (where we going next?) A little grumblie from Jackson and Doobie finally crashed, curled up oh Jackson's rump, the perfect pillow!Donna H.

55We loved our time here! Our dog, Asher, gets easily overwhelmed by other dogs in public so he LOVED the hiking vibe and water without worrying about seeing a lot of triggers. He got to have his first swim!Emily P.

55We had a great time here. Our dog is highly dog reactive so we loved the peace of mind that we wouldn't run into other dogs. Our boy had so much fun running on the trails and playing in the stream. The host gave helpful parking directions. Definitely would return for more fun in the woods!Molly H.

Frequently asked questions about Honeoye Falls dog hiking trails
Why are private dog hiking trails better than public dog parks in Honeoye Falls?
Private dog hiking trails in Honeoye Falls eliminate major public park risks: unpredictable dog encounters that scare puppies, aggressive dogs that trigger reactive behavior, chaotic crowds that overwhelm seniors or small dogs, and disease transmission from dozens of unknown dogs. Honeoye Falls's 12 private dog hiking trails offer complete privacy, professionally maintained cleanliness, and controlled environments. Whether you have a fearful puppy, a reactive adult, a fragile senior, or simply want peace of mind, private bookings give you control.
How safe are Honeoye Falls dog hiking trails compared to public dog parks?
Honeoye Falls dog hiking trails are significantly safer than public facilities. Public dog parks risk: aggressive dogs, inattentive owners, disease transmission, overcrowding that triggers reactive behaviors or injuries. Private Honeoye Falls dog hiking trails eliminate these concerns—bookings are completely private, all guests have vaccinated dogs (or titers), and hosts maintain clean spaces. 93% of Sniffspot reviews are 5 stars.
Are Honeoye Falls dog hiking trails safe for reactive dogs?
Honeoye Falls owners of reactive dogs choose dog hiking trails because they offer safe, private environments for off-leash exercise without the triggers of public dog parks. Complete privacy means no unexpected dog encounters, no overwhelming chaos, no aggressive dogs. Reactive dogs can finally enjoy natural exploration and varied terrain while building confidence in a controlled setting. Many Honeoye Falls reactive dog owners say Sniffspot is their only safe exercise option.
Can anxious dogs safely use Honeoye Falls dog hiking trails?
Yes! Honeoye Falls dog hiking trails provide controlled environments perfect for anxious or fearful dogs. No other dogs means no triggers, no overwhelming situations. Anxious dogs can explore a natural outdoor path where dogs can explore varied terrain off-leash in a safe, private environment at their own pace without stress. Many Honeoye Falls dog hiking trails offer quiet, spacious settings ideal for building confidence in nervous dogs who struggle at chaotic public dog parks.
Are Honeoye Falls dog hiking trails good for small dogs?
Absolutely! Small dogs benefit enormously from Honeoye Falls dog hiking trails because they can explore without fear of being trampled or intimidated by larger breeds. Many small dog owners in Honeoye Falls avoid public parks entirely due to safety concerns—dog hiking trails eliminate that worry. Filter for appropriate sizing, secure fencing with no gaps, and hosts who understand petite pup needs.
Do Honeoye Falls dog hiking trails work for senior dogs?
Yes! Senior dogs thrive at Honeoye Falls dog hiking trails because they can move at their own pace without being knocked over by rambunctious puppies or young dogs. Look for Honeoye Falls dog hiking trails with flat terrain, easy access, shade, and smaller sizes if your senior has mobility limitations. The privacy means your older dog can rest when needed and enjoy gentle exercise without stress.
What do Honeoye Falls dog owners say about dog hiking trails?
Reviews of Honeoye Falls dog hiking trails consistently highlight: excellent privacy for all dog types, secure fencing that prevented escapes, clean and well-maintained spaces, responsive hosts, and safe environments for anxious, fearful, reactive, senior, and small dogs.
