1 acre microfarm FULLY FENCED-FOR THE LITTLE GUYS!

Fully Fenced
0.7 acres

Howdy! I'm offering my 1acre homestead /Microfarm for Puppy Park Playdates! There's lots to do here! Plenty of sand and a digging spot for every dog! A huge quarter acre open grassy field is perfect for long passes and frisby games. The farmers field behind is a fun spot to observe wildlife and see cool tractors (fun for little people and silly adults too!) hose and sprinklers available for washoffs and a comfortable sitting area for humans. Access to restroom for humans & Of course water is available for all! We are at the edge of town- so there are less hazards...This space is also occupied by six plucky hens and one friendly (but lonely) Parsons Russell. This space is encouraged for smaller dogs but all *friendly* non-aggressive pets are welcome!

The Den

Fully Fenced

I have a fully fenced in back yard that's a decent size for outdoor training or small dog running. I have a German Short-haired Pointer and he enjoys the yard pretty well himself. Not good for more than 2 retriever sized dogs at a time.

Frequently asked questions about Portales dog parks

Are private dog parks better than public dog parks in Portales?

Yes, private dog parks in Portales eliminate the major risks of public facilities: unpredictable dog encounters, inattentive owners, disease transmission, and chaotic environments. With Sniffspot's 6 private locations in Portales, you get complete privacy during your booking, professionally maintained spaces, and flexible scheduling. No more worrying about aggressive dogs or unsafe conditions. 1 acre microfarm FULLY FENCED-FOR THE LITTLE GUYS! and other highly-rated Portales locations consistently receive 5-star reviews for safety and cleanliness.

Are Sniffspot dog parks in Portales safe for all dog types?

Absolutely! Portales Sniffspot locations welcome puppies learning socialization, senior dogs needing gentle exercise, small dogs who feel overwhelmed at public parks, high-energy dogs needing room to run, and reactive dogs requiring privacy. The completely private bookings mean each dog gets exactly the environment they need with no compromises. Whether your dog is friendly, selective, anxious, or anywhere in between, Portales has 6 options to match their temperament.

When can puppies start visiting dog parks in Portales?

Puppies can visit Portales Sniffspot locations as soon as they have age-appropriate vaccinations (typically around 8-10 weeks with their first round of shots). Unlike public dog parks where you'd wait until puppies are fully vaccinated at 16+ weeks, Sniffspot's private bookings eliminate disease risk from unknown dogs. This early, safe socialization in Portales helps prevent fear and reactivity issues later. Many Portales trainers specifically use Sniffspot for puppy development.

How do I find private dog parks near me in Portales?

Browse Portales's 6 private dog parks on Sniffspot by entering your zip code or neighborhood. Filter by distance (within 5, 10, or 25 miles), then narrow by features: fully fenced, "fewer dogs seen/heard," specific amenities like fully fenced dog parks or small dog parks. Each Portales listing shows photos, reviews, exact location, and instant availability. 1 acre microfarm FULLY FENCED-FOR THE LITTLE GUYS! is particularly popular among Portales dog owners.

Are Portales dog parks good for small dogs?

Yes! Many Portales Sniffspot hosts specifically mark their spaces as "small dog friendly," meaning they're sized appropriately for toy breeds and small dogs. Unlike public dog parks where small dogs can be intimidated or injured by larger dogs, Portales private bookings give your small dog the entire space. Filter for secure fencing with no gaps, smaller yard sizes, and hosts who cater to petite pups. Some Portales dog park locations even have separate small dog areas.

What's the difference between Sniffspot and public dog parks in Portales?

The biggest difference is privacy and control. Public dog parks in Portales mean sharing space with unknown dogs and owners. You can't control who shows up or how they behave. Sniffspot's 6 Portales locations give you private bookings where only your dogs are present. You choose the time, the space, and the environment. Plus, you get amenities like fully fenced dog parks, small dog parks, and maintained cleanliness that public parks can't guarantee.

Do Portales dog parks allow senior dogs?

Yes! Portales Sniffspot locations are excellent for senior dogs who need gentle exercise without the stress of public dog parks. Older dogs can explore at their own pace, rest when needed, and avoid being knocked over by rambunctious dogs. Look for Portales spots with flat terrain, shaded areas, easy access, and smaller sizes if your senior has limited mobility. The privacy means your older dog can enjoy off-leash time safely and comfortably.

Can I rent a private dog park in Portales by the hour?

Yes! All 6 Sniffspot locations in Portales are available for hourly rental. Most bookings are 1-2 hours, though you can reserve longer if needed. Book instantly through the platform, arrive during your time slot, and have the entire space to yourself. Many Portales dog owners rent weekly for consistent, safe exercise for their dogs.
