10 Acre Field + Woods to Explore!

Unfenced
70 acres

I have a 10 acre field (with some pretty nice views) + 60 acres of woods that I'd love to share. Right now the woods are in a pretty natural state (the trails aren't groomed & are in the process of being maintained) so depends on your adventure-ability whether you want to venture that way. There is a brook about 0.7 miles from the parking spot though! My dogs love it. But the field is great for getting a full sprint going or ball toss, etc. My dogs are visible from some areas of the field. If you would prefer not to see other dogs, please plan on walking the back woods with your dog(s). The field is fine to drive on - you'd pull in and drive along the left edge to the back where there is a gap in the rock walk and pick up the trails from there. Please do not park in the driveway - instead, pull off on the side of the road (please make sure you are fully off the road) on the grass or turn into the field a bit and park along the white fence

Frequently asked questions about Rangeley dog fields

Why are private dog fields better than public dog parks in Rangeley?

Private dog fields in Rangeley eliminate major public park risks: unpredictable dog encounters that scare puppies, aggressive dogs that trigger reactive behavior, chaotic crowds that overwhelm seniors or small dogs, and disease transmission from dozens of unknown dogs. Rangeley's 3 private dog fields offer complete privacy, professionally maintained cleanliness, and controlled environments. Whether you have a fearful puppy, a reactive adult, a fragile senior, or simply want peace of mind, private bookings give you control.

How safe are Rangeley dog fields compared to public dog parks?

Rangeley dog fields are significantly safer than public facilities. Public dog parks risk: aggressive dogs, inattentive owners, disease transmission, overcrowding that triggers reactive behaviors or injuries. Private Rangeley dog fields eliminate these concerns—bookings are completely private, all guests have vaccinated dogs (or titers), and hosts maintain clean spaces. 93% of Sniffspot reviews are 5 stars.

Are Rangeley dog fields safe for reactive dogs?

Rangeley owners of reactive dogs choose dog fields because they offer safe, private environments for off-leash exercise without the triggers of public dog parks. Complete privacy means no unexpected dog encounters, no overwhelming chaos, no aggressive dogs. Reactive dogs can finally enjoy full-speed running and fetch while building confidence in a controlled setting. Many Rangeley reactive dog owners say Sniffspot is their only safe exercise option.

Can anxious dogs safely use Rangeley dog fields?

Yes! Rangeley dog fields provide controlled environments perfect for anxious or fearful dogs. No other dogs means no triggers, no overwhelming situations. Anxious dogs can explore a large, open grass area where dogs can run at full speed and play fetch at their own pace without stress. Many Rangeley dog fields offer quiet, spacious settings ideal for building confidence in nervous dogs who struggle at chaotic public dog parks.

Are Rangeley dog fields good for small dogs?

Absolutely! Small dogs benefit enormously from Rangeley dog fields because they can explore without fear of being trampled or intimidated by larger breeds. Many small dog owners in Rangeley avoid public parks entirely due to safety concerns—dog fields eliminate that worry. Filter for appropriate sizing, secure fencing with no gaps, and hosts who understand petite pup needs.

Do Rangeley dog fields work for senior dogs?

Yes! Senior dogs thrive at Rangeley dog fields because they can move at their own pace without being knocked over by rambunctious puppies or young dogs. Look for Rangeley dog fields with flat terrain, easy access, shade, and smaller sizes if your senior has mobility limitations. The privacy means your older dog can rest when needed and enjoy gentle exercise without stress.

What do Rangeley dog owners say about dog fields?

Reviews of Rangeley dog fields consistently highlight: excellent privacy for all dog types, secure fencing that prevented escapes, clean and well-maintained spaces, responsive hosts, and safe environments for anxious, fearful, reactive, senior, and small dogs. Local favorite 10 Acre Field + Woods to Explore! is particularly praised in Rangeley. Read reviews to see real experiences from Rangeley dog owners with similar needs.

How clean and maintained are Rangeley dog fields?

Rangeley hosts maintain their own dog fields and take pride in providing excellent experiences. All guests must have vaccinated dogs (or titers). Many Rangeley hosts provide poop bags, trash cans, and regular cleaning. Reviews highlight maintenance quality—browse Rangeley dog field listings to see real feedback about cleanliness and upkeep.
