Wonderful experience with my high anxiety pup. As soon as she was off leash she was chasing a ball and happily sniffing all over! The host Lindsey provides excellent communication, directions and amazing attention to detail! Beautiful, rustic space. We loved it and will be back!

Host replied: Awesome to hear, Joanne! Love being able to provide a safe and comfortable alternative for dogs who need it. Hope to see you back soon!

Absolutely snifftastic: grass, rocks, leafpiles, moss, stumps and tree trunks. Shady glades and sunny spots, too. An idyllic safe space, I was curious to see how my 1 year old spaceshot responded to commands in a new yet controlled environment. She thrives on new experiences and stimulus but is also very timid, so this was ideal. I entered with her leashed, had a looky-lou around the environment, then swapped her to a very short light lead that she dragged behind her. (I call it compliance insurance.) This was a great yard, it was a little strange wandering around in someone else's very private space, but the dog adjusted to this well and was frisking around in no time. Every amenity was supplied, gates and fencing were all in good order and easy to operate. Parking galore.

Host replied: Loved reading this! Thank you, Rebecca! You and Pesto are welcome back anytime.

We had such a lovely time at this spot! The yard is fully secured (and gorgeous, and the varied terrain and woodsy feel provided a lot of enrichment for our reactive city pup. Water, toys, poop bags, and even treats were all provided and the communication from the owner was clear and helpful. This is one of the nicest Sniffspots of this size within an hours drive from us, and we will absolutely be back.

Host replied: Thank you, Kelly! We're so glad you and your pup enjoyed our SniffSpot!

A large, secure yard with lots of room to run and sniff. Our pups had a great time! We will definitely be back.

Host replied: Thank you, Hilary! Love the photos! You and the dogs are welcome back anytime.

The Summit Spot in Amesbury (support a local dog rescue!)

** A portion from every booking goes to a local New England dog rescue!! Come and burn some energy in a fully fenced in yard located in Amesbury, conveniently off I495 and Route 150. Quiet neighborhood, other than the current construction going on at Baileys Pond and the humming (or occasional harley) sound from I495. This is not your landscapers dream yard!! Its where dogs play, dig holes, chew on sticks, destroy toys, chase bunnies and squirrels and full on wrestle with each other- so have fun and don’t twist an ankle! There are dogs on ALL sides of us but not likely any will be visible at our fence during your visit- but you may see or hear them barking. On the wood fence side is "Zane" our neighbors lab who is a talker. Feel free to use chairs and table if they are out. (Weather permitting). If you prefer to use a bag to pick up poop- there are some in the treat bin on the right as you enter through the gate. There is a scooper on the other side of the yard at the opposite gate, please toss bagged or scooped waste in the small blue lined trash bin. **Weather permitting** the water fountain feature will be on for your pups drinking pleasure (unless you request we put it off). If its rained recently there may be areas in the yard with mud, particularly around the entry gate/shed, so heads up. Winter weather may change things on a dime, so I’ll do my best to communicate to ensure safety. We are open Monday - Thursday 8:30AM to 4:30PM. Please follow booking policies requiring up to 2 hours for cancelling or rescheduling). I hope you and your pups enjoy your visit and burn some energy at The Summit Spot!

Large Fenced in Yard with Some Woods to Explore

I have a large fenced in yard. It is chain link and 6ft tall. It is reinforced at the bottom. There is a woodsy area in the yard for dogs to explore as well. Lots of room to run! You may notice your dog spends most of his/her time sniffing around instead of running. This is typical for the first visit: 1. It is a new space for them and they get a lot of information through their nose 2. Lots of dogs have been in my yard so there is so much to smell. This is still great enrichment and will lead to a tired and fulfilled dog. Please bring your own dog toys, water, and water bowl. If your dog poops (even if in the woods), can you please pick it up? I have a dog that likes to eat poop - so gross! You may notice that sometimes my deck is gated off. I do this so that the visiting dogs aren't distracted by the sliding door, standing in front of it thinking they are there to come into the house instead of playing in the yard. You are more than welcome to take one of them down if you want to sit up on the deck. If I forget to put the gate up and you want to block your dog from coming up on the deck, feel free to put it on the stairs to block the entryway. Other things worth mentioning: - Depending on the weather and time of the year, parts of the yard may be icy and/or muddy! Brings towels to wipe down your dog afterwards. If you visit early spring, you may see ground bees flying around on the south facing side of the house. By late April, you won't even know they are there. They are very docile (in fact most species don't have stingers) and are great pollinators. - I also dog sit out of my home. Some dogs that I watch are vocal and may bark the whole time you are visiting. If your booking time is during a time that I am home, I can ensure that they are kept quiet and don’t interfere with your visit. If hearing barking coming from my house is something that will impact your visit, feel free to reach out to me beforehand to confirm whether or not I am dog sitting and/or will be home. If there is anything I can do to make this a more enjoyable experience, please message me with feedback :) Hope you have a great time!
