55We had a great time with lots of good sniffs - a great place to bring your dog on a long line for a walk and play off leash in the yard and have a super tired pup after. There is one place on the trail where you see other dogs on their property at the fence line, just worth noting if you have a reactive pup like mine. Also, its worth bringing a camp chair if you plan to hang at the play yard awhile as there is no seating! Kathleen M.

Welcome to Logans Run - 31 Acre Partially Fenced Property with Fully Fenced Private Dog Park in Wilmore KY | Sniffspot
55This venue is a lovely secluded space at the end of a dead-end road with a decent ~1.5 mi. trail around the perimeter for walking dogs off-leash if they have good obedience (some of the fence line could be crawled under into neighboring yards). There are large fenced areas for use too if your dog(s) can't be trusted off-leash.
Full transparency for my first visit:
I was a little confused about not being met by the host since the site description states they prefer to meet first-time users. I waited at the check-in point for a while, which ate up some of the reserved hour, until I could get the Sniffspot app downloaded on my phone to check messages to see why nobody was there. I then saw the host had sent a map of the property with the perimeter trail marked, and gathered I was not going to meet them and I could just proceed.
There was a jug of water and some bowls on a table at the check-in spot. Looked like the bowls had been there a while as debris had collected in them, but my dogs don't care - they'll drink from worse water sources! Lol
After a little walk about, I messaged the host about use of the indoor bathroom the site description indicates is available, as I'd anticipated being able to access that after traveling a ways to get to the property, but I couldn't get into the check-in building. The host was quick to respond, and explained it is only available during their business hours, and you have to go down the road to a gas station to use a restroom.
While my first visit wasn't what I anticipated based on the description, now that I have some better insight, it's still a 5 star review because you can't beat the opportunity to roam and enjoy the private use of this property. I hope this review helps first timers so they too can take advantage of this sniffspot and keep it running! Enjoy!Judi K.

55My Aussies and I had a great time. Caitlin provided a helpful map of the property with a walking path around the perimeter. It includes two good-sized fields where the dogs have extra space to run around. I walk pretty slowly and it took me a little over a half hour to stroll around the circuit. Then we went back into the big field for awhile for the dogs to sniff around some more. I loved that the property was big enough that I didn’t have to walk laps in a field the whole time to keep the dogs moving. Wendy K.

55Beautiful property! We utilized the fully fenced dog park area and the open field. It definitely is partially unfenced, but we were able to utilize a big portion of the land between two tree lines and they had plenty of room to run without getting out. Our dogs definitely sniffed all the spots! Marykate U.

55My dogs really enjoyed their time at Logan’s Run. There are limited opportunities locally for large areas for our dogs to access, so we were excited to see this new opportunity. Caitlin was nice enough to proved a map of the facility before we arrived - it was easy to get to and navigate around. Trails are well maintained and my dogs loved the opportunity to explore a new place. Will be coming back! Megan C.

Frequently asked questions about Wilmore dog hiking trails
What do private dog hiking trails in Wilmore offer that public parks don't?
Private dog hiking trails in Wilmore offer complete privacy (no other dogs), specialized environments for natural exploration and varied terrain, professionally maintained cleanliness, flexible 24/7 scheduling, and safe spaces for all temperaments—puppies, seniors, small dogs, reactive dogs, or any pup needing accommodations. Public dog parks in Wilmore can't guarantee any of this. With 11 options, you get predictable, controlled environments perfect for your dog's specific needs.
Can I find fully fenced private dog parks in Wilmore?
Yes! Most of Wilmore's 11 private dog parks are fully fenced. Use the "fully fenced" filter to find secure enclosures with detailed specs: height (4ft, 6ft, 8ft+), material (wood, chain-link, vinyl), and gap information. This is crucial for escape artists, puppies learning boundaries, reactive dogs needing contained space, or small dogs who might squeeze through. Wilmore listings include fencing photos so you can verify security.
When can puppies start visiting dog hiking trails in Wilmore?
Puppies can visit Wilmore dog hiking trails as early as 8-10 weeks with initial vaccinations, much earlier than the 16+ weeks needed for public park safety. This early, controlled socialization prevents fear and reactivity issues later. Plus, puppies can explore natural exploration and varied terrain without being overwhelmed or learning bad behaviors from poorly socialized adult dogs. Many Wilmore trainers specifically use dog hiking trails for puppy development.
How do I find private dog hiking trails near me in Wilmore?
Browse Wilmore's 11 dog hiking trails on Sniffspot by entering your neighborhood or zip code. Filter by distance, then narrow by features: fully fenced, "fewer dogs seen/heard," specific amenities, terrain type, or size. Each Wilmore listing shows photos, reviews, exact location, and instant availability. Local favorite Welcome to Logans Run - 31 Acre Partially Fenced Property with Fully Fenced Private Dog Park in Wilmore KY is particularly popular among Wilmore dog owners.
Can I rent dog hiking trails in Wilmore by the hour?
Yes! All 11 dog hiking trails in Wilmore are available for hourly rental. Most bookings are 1-2 hours, though you can reserve longer for training or events. Book instantly through Sniffspot, arrive during your time slot, and have complete privacy. Many Wilmore dog owners rent weekly for consistent, safe exercise.
What's the difference between Sniffspot dog hiking trails and public dog parks in Wilmore?
The biggest difference is privacy and control. Public dog parks in Wilmore mean sharing space with unknown dogs and owners. That means you can't control who shows up or how they behave. Sniffspot's 11 Wilmore dog hiking trails give you private bookings where only your dogs are present. You choose the time, the space, and the environment. Plus, your pup enjoys natural exploration and varied terrain and maintained cleanliness that public parks can't guarantee.
Are there indoor dog hiking trails in Wilmore?
Yes! Wilmore has climate-controlled indoor dog hiking trails perfect for extreme weather, rainy days, or year-round exercise. Indoor Wilmore locations typically feature protective flooring, controlled temperatures, and enclosed environments. They're especially popular for puppy training, senior dogs, reactive dogs, or anyone wanting consistent access regardless of Wilmore weather. Filter by "indoor" to see options.
How do Wilmore dog hiking trails help with dog training?
Wilmore trainers love dog hiking trails because privacy eliminates distractions. Work on recall, practice trail recall in natural environments, leash manners on varied terrain, or hiking endurance building, reinforce obedience, socialize puppies, or address reactivity without interruptions. For reactive dogs, train without trigger-stacking. For puppies, practice skills in controlled increments. For any dog, get focused training time in an environment specifically designed for natural exploration and varied terrain.
