🐾Wildwood Retreat🌳Private 5 Acre Adventure🛘Fenced in Yard with Splash Zone, Trails, Parkour Play, & River Hikes🥾

Partially Fenced
5 acres

Welcome to your dog’s new favorite getaway ✨ Gazebo & Fenced Yard to Wildwood Trails & River Hike ✨! Located on a spacious property with a mix of secure backyard space and wild, wooded trails, this spot offers the perfect blend of relaxation and rugged exploration. Whether you have a high-energy pup who needs a true workout or a reactive dog who needs absolute privacy, we’ve got you covered. 🏡 The Base Camp (Backyard & Amenities) Before or after your hike, hang out and unwind in our fenced-in backyard area. • The Gazebo: Relax in the shade (or sun) charge your phone, and grab a complimentary drink or snack etc while your dog gets hydrated and cools off, there is also products for you to give them a quick waterless bath 🧼 and wipe down. • The Splash Zone: An interactive splash pad with a 1 1/2 foot deep pool attached as well (depth can be lowered) Towels included • Keeping Cool at The Wildwood Retreat: To ensure your furry friends stay comfortable while they play, we have added a powerful 45-inch industrial Heat Buster fan to the area. While this unit already comes equipped with a heavy-duty OSHA safety grate, as a dog mom myself, I want to ensure total peace of mind; therefore, we have placed the fan securely behind the fence so it remains completely out of reach while still providing plenty of refreshing airflow for your dogs to enjoy. • The Dog Run: A secure dog run is attached directly to the fenced backyard for easy transitioning. • Human Comforts: Dedicated storage places for your gear, plus easy access to an indoor restroom if needed. • On the House: Fresh water and treats for the pups, bottled water for humans, and plenty of doggy waste bags provided! • (Note: There is a INGROUND pool in the backyard area that is currently closed/not running). BUT WE DO HAVE THE SPLASH ZONE POOL AVAILABLE FREE FOR THE MONTH OF JUNE SO COME CHECK IT OUT!!!!!! 🥾 The Wildwood Trails & Natural Agility Course Ready to explore? Head into the woods for a true hiking experience. Our trail system features: The River Trail: Wind through the trees down to a beautiful river. Scenic Overlook: Follow the property line out to a stunning view overlooking a local farm. Nature’s Parkour: Let your dog boost their agility! Our 5-acre property offers a landscape fundamentally different from the rest of the region. Instead of just typical woods, you get steep slopes, rocky outcrops, and massive, ancient boulders that create a unique, three-dimensional maze for your dog to explore. It’s nature’s own "Jenga" game, full of rocky secrets waiting to be discovered! 🐾 Dip Your Paws In! 🐾 Dip Your Paws In! Got a pup who is a little unsure about water? Skip the scary splashes! Our calm river area is the absolute perfect place for timid dogs to take things at their own pace. With a gentle, natural entry, they can safely dip their toes in, explore the water's edge, and build up their confidence completely stress-free. ⚠️ Important Host Notes • Property Setup: There is a home and a family shop located on the acreage, but your trail and yard time is your own private escape!! • Footwear: Because the trails are authentic woods with natural terrain, rocks, and dirt, proper hiking shoes or sneakers are highly recommended!

Doby Dog & Fishing Escape - 15 Acre Unfenced Private Dog Park, Pool & Pond In Mendham

Unfenced
15 acres

- 15 acres - 3 fields with tall grasses to explore (these are mowed by a tractor intermittently throughout the season - feel free to message for updates - multiple cleared acres - trail - pool (additional cost) - fishing * - swimming for dogs in pond * **Pond will be under going routine treatment/maintenance from our management company this coming week (7/13)*** Property & fields will still be accessible, but swimming & fishing will not be available during this time. Please message for more up to date details. We are a newer spot & have been happy to offer our property for dogs & owners to enjoy and explore. We have plans to continue improving our property to make it even more enjoyable and appealing. This includes treatment and management of our pond (this will help with any overgrown of invasive species such as so many cattails and keep any algae and weeds at bay during the summer months to insure a clear swimming, boating & fishing environment), we will be clearing out more overgrown foliage near the front dam & adding a bridge to create an additional access point to field#2 on the opposite side of the pond (currently the main way to access this field is by walking around the back side of the pond), we will also be adding a small cabin (we will offer this to be rented out in the future and will not have Sniffspot on those days) & we will add benches to the opposite side of the pond for all to enjoy. We look forward to sharing this journey with you all!

Frequently asked questions about Woodside dog hiking trails

Why are private dog hiking trails better than public dog parks in Woodside?

Private dog hiking trails in Woodside eliminate major public park risks: unpredictable dog encounters that scare puppies, aggressive dogs that trigger reactive behavior, chaotic crowds that overwhelm seniors or small dogs, and disease transmission from dozens of unknown dogs. Woodside's 7 private dog hiking trails offer complete privacy, professionally maintained cleanliness, and controlled environments. Whether you have a fearful puppy, a reactive adult, a fragile senior, or simply want peace of mind, private bookings give you control.

How safe are Woodside dog hiking trails compared to public dog parks?

Woodside dog hiking trails are significantly safer than public facilities. Public dog parks risk: aggressive dogs, inattentive owners, disease transmission, overcrowding that triggers reactive behaviors or injuries. Private Woodside dog hiking trails eliminate these concerns—bookings are completely private, all guests have vaccinated dogs (or titers), and hosts maintain clean spaces. 93% of Sniffspot reviews are 5 stars.

Are Woodside dog hiking trails safe for reactive dogs?

Woodside owners of reactive dogs choose dog hiking trails because they offer safe, private environments for off-leash exercise without the triggers of public dog parks. Complete privacy means no unexpected dog encounters, no overwhelming chaos, no aggressive dogs. Reactive dogs can finally enjoy natural exploration and varied terrain while building confidence in a controlled setting. Many Woodside reactive dog owners say Sniffspot is their only safe exercise option.

Can anxious dogs safely use Woodside dog hiking trails?

Yes! Woodside dog hiking trails provide controlled environments perfect for anxious or fearful dogs. No other dogs means no triggers, no overwhelming situations. Anxious dogs can explore a natural outdoor path where dogs can explore varied terrain off-leash in a safe, private environment at their own pace without stress. Many Woodside dog hiking trails offer quiet, spacious settings ideal for building confidence in nervous dogs who struggle at chaotic public dog parks.

Are Woodside dog hiking trails good for small dogs?

Absolutely! Small dogs benefit enormously from Woodside dog hiking trails because they can explore without fear of being trampled or intimidated by larger breeds. Many small dog owners in Woodside avoid public parks entirely due to safety concerns—dog hiking trails eliminate that worry. Filter for appropriate sizing, secure fencing with no gaps, and hosts who understand petite pup needs.

Do Woodside dog hiking trails work for senior dogs?

Yes! Senior dogs thrive at Woodside dog hiking trails because they can move at their own pace without being knocked over by rambunctious puppies or young dogs. Look for Woodside dog hiking trails with flat terrain, easy access, shade, and smaller sizes if your senior has mobility limitations. The privacy means your older dog can rest when needed and enjoy gentle exercise without stress.

What do Woodside dog owners say about dog hiking trails?

Reviews of Woodside dog hiking trails consistently highlight: excellent privacy for all dog types, secure fencing that prevented escapes, clean and well-maintained spaces, responsive hosts, and safe environments for anxious, fearful, reactive, senior, and small dogs. Local favorite Brendan's 33 Acre Unfenced Private Dog Park In Hillsborough Township is particularly praised in Woodside. Read reviews to see real experiences from Woodside dog owners with similar needs.

How clean and maintained are Woodside dog hiking trails?

Woodside hosts maintain their own dog hiking trails and take pride in providing excellent experiences. All guests must have vaccinated dogs (or titers). Many Woodside hosts provide poop bags, trash cans, and regular cleaning. Reviews highlight maintenance quality—browse Woodside dog hiking trail listings to see real feedback about cleanliness and upkeep.
