Wine Country 10 Acre Unfenced Pond 1-Mile Trail with Zoomies Field, Woods, Picnic Table and Stimulating Smells

Unfenced
10 acres

This is a roughly ten-acre property in the heart of wine country in Harpersfield, Ohio. We offer several amenities, including a 1-mile marked trail through fields, pastures, and woods, and a swimmable pond. We are fence-free, so dogs can explore to their hearts' content. We offer free water for the parents, water for dogs, treats, poop bags, sunscreen and bugspray for use seasonally. We also have a doggie first aid kit handy. We marked the trail as stimulating from an olfactory perspective because of a deer trail that goes through the property. Hope to see you soon!

Private Pond Pooch Paradise

Unfenced
28 acres

Winter conditions as of 2/5/26: about a foot of snow, ground is frozen, no mud, wear boots, dress warm, your dog will love it! Some paths were plowed to knock down the snow height, path in woods plowed. Our property sits 1200+ feet off of the main road and is a total of 28 acres. There are neighboring properties that are 50 acres and 80 acres so no close homes in most directions. We are located approximately 1 mile from West Branch State Park. The property has a clean swimming pond, a walkable forest area with some established trails that are currently covered with leaves. We are a working farm with about 8 acres of crops. There is a large 3 acre wheat field in the front great for ball throwing. The remaining non crop acres are walking paths with some cut grass and yard. We do not have any livestock but our neighbors have cows. There is a secure fence on one side of our property that keeps the cows in their pasture. They’ve never visited us! Neighboring properties are also farms with over 100 acres of open land, woods and crops surrounding our property with no main or visible roads. You can see houses on one side of the property and that’s where the cows live! They have dogs but they’ve never visited us. We do have 2 well behaved German Shorthaired Pointers named River and Remmy who run freely on the property. However we will keep them inside when guests use the property. We have a bench to sit on in a shaded area around the pond for relaxing. The woods are beautiful to walk about as well. There is a large rock in the woods to take a rest on with an amazing ravine creek view. Our property is large and not fenced so dogs with impeccable recall should enjoy the freedom to play, run, swim, sniff and explore. Leashed walks are also welcome. Long leads can also be used. Because we are so far off of any main roads you will feel comfortable here! Your pups are welcome to swim in the pond during your visit. During recent rains our property stays mainly dry and the woods are relatively dry as well as there are many leaves covering the ground. In the winter when the ground is frozen it’s a beautiful walk.

How clean are private dog hiking trails in Austinburg compared to public parks?

Significantly cleaner. Public dog parks in Austinburg see dozens of dogs daily with sporadic city maintenance. Private dog hiking trails have dedicated hosts who maintain their own spaces—cleanliness directly affects their reviews and bookings. Many Austinburg hosts provide fresh poop bags, sanitized water stations, and regular grounds cleaning. With only one booking at a time, waste accumulation is minimal.

Can I book Austinburg dog hiking trails on short notice?

Usually yes! Many Austinburg dog hiking trails offer same-day or next-day availability with instant booking. Unlike public parks that might be crowded unpredictably, Austinburg private dog hiking trails let you reserve exactly when needed: early morning before work, midday breaks, evening exercise. Real-time availability shows on each listing—perfect for last-minute training or when routines get disrupted.

What's the best time to visit dog hiking trails in Austinburg?

Any time works since bookings are private! Unlike public dog parks in Austinburg that are crowded during peak hours (mornings, evenings, weekends), you don't worry about timing. Book when it fits YOUR schedule—midday when it's quiet, dawn for cool weather, late evening for convenience. Many Austinburg dog hiking trails have lighting for after-dark visits. This flexibility is perfect for shift workers or dogs with special needs.

Do Austinburg dog hiking trails allow multiple dogs?

Yes! Most Austinburg dog hiking trails welcome multiple dogs from the same household. Some hosts set limits (check listings), but generally you can bring your whole pack. This is perfect for multi-dog households in Austinburg where some dogs are selective—they can play together privately without outside interference. Great for sibling bonding or families with mixed ages/temperaments.

Can I use Austinburg dog hiking trails for special events?

Many Austinburg dog hiking trails welcome doggy birthday parties, training workshops, breed meetups, or group playdates. Private bookings mean your event won't be interrupted. Coordinate with Austinburg hosts about capacity, amenities (parking, shade, water), and any restrictions. Some even provide party extras. Check individual Austinburg dog hiking trail listings for event policies.

How do Austinburg dog hiking trails accommodate dogs with special needs?

Austinburg dog hiking trails are excellent for special needs dogs because you can filter for specific requirements: flat terrain for mobility issues, secure fencing for blind/deaf dogs, quiet locations for anxious dogs, small spaces for seniors, or maximum privacy for reactive dogs. Read reviews from other Austinburg special-needs dog owners, and contact hosts with questions. The private setting means you can adapt the experience to your dog's unique requirements.
