Please confirm date and time prior to reservation 😃 Hoosier’s on the ridge sits on 15 acres right next to Yellowwood State Forest! This land provides all terrain options for whatever your dog desires. You can stay close to your car in a field setting or walk deep into the valley to explore the creek bed on a hot day. I have built 4 campsites on the property (also for rent,) so there are 4 unique sitting spots, hammocks, tables, and fire pits. We have 2 golden retrievers (1M/1FM, both fixed) and a golden doodle (1m/fixed) who can either be put in the house during your visit or come socialize, whatever you prefer. This location sits along Indian Creek. There are a few access points to the creek as you walk along the field. Grasses will remain short until May. At that point nothing is mowed until August to promote nesting and wildlife habitat. There are no houses visible from this location. A road runs along the property, but if you follow the creek you can easily stay 500-1000 feet off the road. Your dog will be free to roam, swim in the creek, dig all it wants with no worry of hurting anything, go to the bathroom freely in the wild. I trained Labrador retrievers for 16 years, and would love to help with retrieval skills if requested.

Fully 6 ft. fenced dog yard. The rest of the property is not fenced. One side (different property) is a cow pasture but the cows are rarely in that part of their pasture. They are kept in their area by a live electric fence. The other side of the yard offers a creek and small area to explore on the other side. I do not maintain that part of the property. There is a deck on the back of the house with a grill and patio furniture for the humans. There is also a fire pit available. The dog yard also has tons of shade.
