You may park in the private driveway. At times the river will be high, and you may only be able to cross the river on the white trail as there is a bridge. Please be advised that you are in bear territory. Carry the bear spray provided if it makes you more comfortable. You are also in tick territory. Please pick up after your dog, there is a waste bin at the entrance. Please help yourself to a laminated map at the entrance and return after your walk. The map is posted throughout the trails with "you are here" symbols to help you navigate the trails. There is also bug spray in the cabinet at the trail entrance. There is very little elevation gain on the walk, so it’s well-suited to take your dog(s) out for a run or a leisurely stroll. Deer sightings are common and you may even spot our resident owl or the bald eagles that nest nearby. Ample parking is available at the trail head and a Little Free Library is located at the end of our driveway. Bring a book and take a book! We are a short trip from both Belleville and Quinte West. Our location, just ten minutes from a Hwy 401 exit (Wallbridge Loyalist Road) makes us a perfect puppy pit stop on your next road trip. *June-September Info: bug spray is provided at the trailhead for your way into the woods, and you’ll find a lint roller and duct tape to check for ticks for your way out. Consider wearing long pants, socks, and closed toe shoes, as you may encounter poison ivy. We are a true Ontario forest experience.

Path around the pond and into the back of the property where there is woods. The back of the property is less maintained and it is only recommended to go back there if you wish to explore and are sure to be safe with your dog on leash, just because the previous owners of the property left some car debris back there that may be harmful to dogs if they are not careful. We take our three Chihuahuas here all the time with no issues. We’ve taken them to the back as well, but usually just stay to the maintained area around the pond. People have heard coyotes and seen coyote trails on the property so if you have a small dog, it is recommended to be on leash just in case. Pond is great for dogs to swim, relatively clean water that our dogs and ourselves swim in. Pond also has an island in the middle, which makes for a cool place for dogs to swim to. Be sure to wash dogs after as there is poison ivy or oak on the island that could stick on dogs fur. Tree farm is not our property please stay off!
