5 Acre wilderness, Private Dog Park In Alfriston, Auckland

Fully Fenced
5 acres

Reduced operating hours: Our opening hours will be reduced for 2026 now that the horses have returned, allowing us time to enjoy the property as well, but please feel free to message me as we might be able to accommodate you still on blocked out days. A great location for both owners and dogs to unwind, featuring a creek bordered by native trees that have stood for centuries. There are park benches available for you to sit back and relax and a dedicated area for your dogs to swim and cool off on a hot summers day. The main big creek has water all year round. Notes for guests to be aware of: The bank next to the creek has several steep slopes that drop down to the water, so please exercise caution if you have children with you. Unfortunately we no longer provide a consistent supply of dog toys as they all go missing, sometimes the same day they are put out! There will be toys out on the odd occasion and we usually provide a good stack of sticks for dogs to enjoy but otherwise feel free to bring your dogs favourite toy with you 🙂 IMPORTANT: all prices listed are in USD and guests will be charged in USD.

A hose is available to clean your dog off after their adventure at the front of the stables (dogs will need to be leashed, please let us know so we can turn water on for you), gated entry with a dog waste bin in each paddock. Note - you will still need some control of your dogs as the area is very large. PLEASE ONLY STAY IN PADDOCKS COLOURED BLUE, LILAC, HOT PINK, PURPLE. DO NOT ACCESS OTHER PADDOCKS - a map will be provided upon booking so please keep an eye out for it in your emails/messages. Frequently asked questions about Pakuranga dog hiking trails

What types of dog hiking trails are available in Pakuranga?

Pakuranga has 3 dog hiking trails with diverse features: woods, hiking trail and scenic views. Whether you need a fully-fenced space for poor recall, a quiet location for a reactive dog, appropriate sizing for small breeds, gentle terrain for seniors, or specific amenities like water features or agility equipment, you'll find options in Pakuranga. Filter by fencing, size, distractions, and amenities to match your needs.

When can I book dog hiking trails in Pakuranga?

Pakuranga dog hiking trails are available based on host scheduling—many operate dawn to dusk or even 24/7. Unlike public dog parks with rigid hours, you choose the exact time that works for you. Check individual Pakuranga listings for specific availability. Flexible scheduling is especially helpful for dogs with specific needs: reactive dogs who do better during quieter times, working dog owners needing early/late slots, or seniors needing cooler morning hours.

How do I book a dog hiking trail in Pakuranga?

Browse 3 available dog hiking trails in Pakuranga, select your preferred date and time, and reserve through Sniffspot. Most Pakuranga locations offer instant booking. You'll receive confirmation, exact address, and entry instructions. The booking process takes just minutes—perfect when your dog needs exercise, whether that's a reactive dog requiring safe space, a puppy needing socialization, or an energetic dog burning off steam.

What's the most popular dog hiking trail in Pakuranga?

5 Acre wilderness, Private Dog Park In Alfriston, Auckland is highly rated among Pakuranga dog hiking trails, known for excellent amenities and positive reviews. However, the "best" spot depends on your dog's needs—reactive dogs might prioritize privacy and quiet, puppies might need secure fencing, seniors might want flat terrain, while active dogs might want maximum running space. Browse Pakuranga listings to find your ideal match.

Can I use Pakuranga dog hiking trails for training sessions?

Yes! Pakuranga dog hiking trails are perfect for training because they're private and distraction-free. Work on recall, practice trail recall in natural environments, leash manners on varied terrain, or hiking endurance building, help reactive dogs build confidence, socialize puppies, or work on obedience—all without public dog park unpredictability. Many Pakuranga professional trainers use these spaces for client sessions with all types of dogs.

Do Pakuranga dog hiking trails accommodate multiple dogs?

Most Pakuranga dog hiking trails welcome multiple dogs from the same household. Some hosts set limits (check listings for specifics). If you have several dogs—especially if some are reactive toward strange dogs or if you have mixed ages (puppies and seniors)—private dog hiking trails let them play together safely without outside interference or triggers.

What amenities do Pakuranga dog hiking trails offer?

Pakuranga dog hiking trails feature amenities like woods, hiking trail and scenic views. Many hosts provide extras: poop bags, water stations, toys, shaded seating, parking, even dog wash stations. Each Pakuranga listing clearly shows what's available. Look for amenities matching your dog's needs: shade for heat-sensitive breeds, water for swimmers, agility for active dogs, or privacy features for anxious pets.

Are Pakuranga dog hiking trails available year-round?

Many Pakuranga hosts maintain their dog hiking trails throughout all seasons. Filter for covered or climate-controlled options if weather matters. Indoor dog hiking trails provide year-round access regardless of Pakuranga weather conditions. Check individual listings for seasonal availability and policies.
