The Woodland Bluffs: 30 acres off Big River

Unfenced
30 acres

PROPERTY: Approximately 30 secluded acres with a short hike down the rocky bluff trail to the Big River. At the bottom it flattens out and you can meander along the bottom or go straight towards the river. Feeling adventurous? Off trail on the different bluff shelves for some unique views. No roads or houses are visible once starting down the trail head. The bottom does flood during heavy rains; usually in the spring. SPRING: You’ll find the new forest growth has not taken over yet and many opportunities for spring pictures as the blossoms begin to bloom. The river entrance is easily accessible. SUMMER: Forest vegetation is in full swing. Lots of brush to run through and explore. Some Fourwheeler trails may be present, but are not regularly maintained. As long as it’s not flooding the River remains accessible. FALL: early fall some of the vegetation has subsided, but plenty to explore through. Leaves are starting to turn and the reds leaves are popping. River remains easily accessible as long as their is no flooding. WINTER: the cold has arrived, the brush has gone, the river remains accessible and rarely freezes over. With snow it looks like a fairy winter wonderland. The trail down May be a bit slippery. Warm boots will be a must. LOCATION: 8548 State Road Y Dittmer MO 63023 by appointment only! Please do not GPS from sniff spot as it’s likely inaccurate. ARRIVING: the mailbox is on the opposite side of of the road and the house is not visible from the top of the driveway. The driveway is gravel and slopes downhill. The driveway is a long gravel driveway surrounded by trees on both sides that arch over the drive. Turn around spot near the information hut and a black chair across with an arrow directs you to the trail. ANIMALS: we have chickens, cat and a dog. The chickens free range except during visits. Kiara (cat) and Luna (dog) not audible or visible during visits. We are not responsible for wild life encounters as many forest animals have made this their home. Bald Eagle siting are possible as a nest resides 1 mile away. PEOPLE: We do live on site. We may be visible around the immediate house area, but will not approach unless you waive us over for questions and/or concerns. YOUR ADVENTURE: the property is un-fenced. We ask that you leash down the beginning of the trail head and then unleashing is strictly up to you. Use the trails, visit the river, explore the shelf off the bluff, medatate, read a book or hug a tree. Your adventure is what you choose to make it. Feel free to bring a friend. Please be mindful of our paradise and pick up your trash and poo. Follow us on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/share/16kFsZ1UMk/?mibextid=wwXIfr for updated pictures and happenings.
