Urban Oasis - Astroturf play and agility space (no muddy paws ever)

Over 4200 square feet of Astroturf play area conveniently located adjacent to the BWI airport (less than a 5 min Uber ride away). The yard is surrounded by wooden privacy fencing so your pups can focus on playing! Astroturf provides a soft, plush, clean surface so even wet dogs don’t get dirty during their stay (perfect if you’re waiting on a flight or traveling with your pup). Covered sitting area to keep guests shaded. Space is equipped with agility equipment including an a-frame, adjustable jump, tunnel, agility stakes, and back tie. The space also has various toys on the ground, kiddie pools/dog activated water fountain/hose in the summer to keep dogs cool . If coordinated in advance (and with owner supervision) you can even use the slat mill for an extra physical challenge. If you’re bringing a young puppy out please message us directly so we can put out the ball pit. The space is equipped to be used in the dark and has many solar motion activated lights along the fence, solar lights on the pergola, and a lit walkway leading up to the gate. The best travel companion is a happy/tired pet. As the weather gets nicer you may see some neighbors on your way in and may hear them while in the yard. You may also hear the normal neighborhood noises and the occasional cluck of a chicken. No dogs live in the yards adjacent to the fence so you rarely hear barking; however, we occasionally take in reactive board and trains. In the extremely rare case one of our houseguests barks and disturbs your peace during the visit let us know and we will make it right. On most hot days the turf gets warm in direct sunlight. Typically we will spray it down between guests if we are home. However, please check the turf intermittently and spray down as desired. The turf has an infill that causes significant evaporative cooling once its sprayed down. The small red cooler typically has water for the humans! Please help yourselves! Please no smoking 🚭 anywhere on the property. Cigarettes could damage our turf (extremely expensive to fix) and poison dogs. Sometimes organic debris blows off trees and into the yard. We regularly clean up leaves etc when it’s nice, but we can’t when it’s raining. If wet leaves/maple seeds aren’t your thing- no problem! We’d love to host you when the weather dries up🙂

My 3.5 year old Lab had a blast! The yard is awesome, and perfectly safe to allow your dogs to let loose. The host was great at communicating. All in all, we will definitely be returning whenever my pup needs a good romp!

Our 9 month old puppy had a total blast getting his zoomies out in Ang’s Doggie yard! You could see some neighborhood dogs on the walk to the backyard, but once you were back there the fence kept things private. We will be back for sure!

When I arrived, I turned on to the dirt road as directed and then drove about halfway back on the lot to park which was a good distance from the far fence line, the house, and the road (which is behind a small row of trees). This place is great for my dogs because they love to retrieve. The field is so large that even with a ball chucker and a good arm the balls still did not come close to the boundaries. They were tired by the end of our time. We will be back.

Big open field. My dog is reactive so we stayed away from the house and walked around on a long lead and got good sniffs in. Nice views too! For reactive pup owners there was a dog and people but they were way far off, could barely hear them. The other side is just wide open farmland. Host responded to messages immediately and helped with providing more details.

I wish our first visit was during the daytime as I was a little unsure, but luckily we ran into the owner and she kindly gave us some guidance. My dogs loved having the open space to run around and play safely. It was a fantastic first visit and definitely plan to come back

Perfect location for Bear. As we live in Wildewood this location is perfect. Parking is easy and access to the yard is also just as easy. Plenty of room for your pup to walk/ run around and has a good amount of “woody” areas for plenty of sniffing and lots of open area for running as well. Will definitely bring Bear back to use some of his husky energy.

Nice spacious yard with plenty of room for my two dogs to get their zoomies out after a 5 day car ride and 3 days in a hotel room! Lots of areas for them to sniff and explore as well. Host also had water and tennis balls available which was nice. Will be back for sure!

Such a great yard! Bigger then I expected, so much to explore, my pups loved it! It’s very easy to get into the yard, you can park right near the gate to the back yard which is so helpful having two pups and one of me! The host was very responsive! We will definitely be back!

My two pups loved their time at Birch Way Park! We recently moved and have a small backyard. The pups are not comfortable at the public dog parks. This was perfect for us!

The yard was big as picture maybe even a little bigger than I thought and the fifth was secure. My little guy had a great time wondering around the yard and was able to safely do so being the only dog there. The fence is probably a 4 ft chain link fence so you can see into neighbors yard.

Great spot! It was not super clear where to park (we assumed to drive down to barn) or which gate to use to get down to the creek. We went “off road” and then discovered the “trail” on our way back. Creek was awesome for our crew of 8 to chase each other and cool off and there was plenty of shade and gravel shore for the humans to be comfortable. We will definitely come back again!

It was a good day! Such an open field. I was confused if I was in the right place but it was great. So much room to explore and run. Went down to the creek and he had lots of fun splashing. Can’t wait to come back!

Huge open field for the dogs to run! Bring your own dog toys. Owner brought out buckets of water which was super helpful for 4 thirsty and tired dogs! Dogs had a total blast! Parking can be a bit confusing - just follow the driveway all the way to the bottom and the field is on your left

I hosted a "going away" party for my two dogs and it was AWESOME!! Plenty of parking for my guests and tons and tons of room to run around! The host really went the extra mile - she greeted us on arrival and gave us an overview of the facilities and things to be aware of, and checked in periodically. At other sniffspots our dogs tend to be done after half an hour, at this one they were still going strong after two hours, there was just soooo much to do!!! I loved the little extras, like treats, pools (we have some serious water lovers), and bug spray. I'm sadly moving, but my friends all said they'd found their go-to spot for future doggie birthday parties and other celebrations!

My dog loved it! The dog pools and chairs for the adults was greatly appreciated! Definitely will be bringing Maggie May and and our new puppy when we get her, back to visit! Thank you for your love of dogs and giving us a place to bring our animals to a safe place to roam and play!
